Name: Virpal
Name Meaning: The simple meaning of ink, for obvious reasons. Many of Virpal's friends call him 'splotch' at first. Simply because they can't pronounce his name at first.
Gender: Male
Story: Another day, another chance. Another chance at climbing that huge cliff face that bordered the right of the area he called home. It was a huge plateau, nothing seemingly special about it, other than it's size. But that didn't stop him and his friends, who still insist on calling him 'Splotch', from making up stories of what's up there. From a secret sorceress to magic eagle to a poison flower, meant to end the world. They knew that none of it was true, but it was fun seeing how ridiculous the could make the stories. But that didn't stop Virpal from desperately wanting to climb it. He didn't know why, but he just wanted to see. Every time he would get so much as a few feet up, he'd get called down. Not today, though. Most had gone out gathering for a new stock of nuts and berries. It was night, so it was pretty safe to venture. For Virpal, this meant less people to stop his climb. With this in mind, he began to climb. It didn't take too long, as the cliff face had several larger ledges and Virpal had had some practice. Bringing his last paw up to the top of the cliff, he looked down to see his friends cheering him on. Virpal's large ears perked, a rush of happiness coming over him. Virpal always loved the little praise he got, especially fro his closest friends. Turning around, his eyes immediately caught the moonlight reflecting in shiny metal. A box of some sort was tipped over, letting it's contents spill out. Jewels and silver and everything caught Virpal's eyes all at once. Once the initial shock wore off and his cheeks hurt from smiling, Virpal walked a bit closer. Almost like a slap in the face, a certain object caught his eyes.

He could only think what his friends would think of this find. He gently grabbed it and attached it to the feather behind his ear. Virpal turned around, ready to get back down, when a low sound broke the silence of the night. Turning around slowly, the fox was met with black scales, bared teeth and two deep red eyes looking right at him.
(Should I continue? I mean, I could just leave it at that cliffhanger... I have the idea for the rest of the story, but I don't want it to become lengthy. Anyways, good luck to everyone~)
