Due to a few changes in my real life schedule, I will be judging the Easter DVFs early and uncovering them early.
Winners should be announced within the next 30 minutes or less. ^^
Unless the DVF has no forms, in that case it will be uncovered but the contest will be extended.
So full of hate were our eyes
That none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead
But never victory
So let us cast arms aside
And like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe
Whilst we find the path

I hope everyone enjoyed the Easter event, its over now and the raffle has been closed with the winners chosen. Egg exchange will be open for another month and the store is always open, but once the month is over with you can no longer exchange eggs for gems.

Traditional art is fine, and the story has to be around 100 (minimum) - 2000 (max) words in order to qualify.

Egg Transfers end at the end of the month [April 30th]!
The eggs won't transfer into gems themselves, be sure to transfer them before the end of the month or you will not be able to use them.

I want to complete the Story Challenge!
Username: Allyna
Link To DVF(s) in the Story: Aspen and
Nymeria Story: This is by Aspen's point of view, just so you know. The female fox is Nymeria.
The wind was strong, but cool, complimenting the searing rays of the sun quite nicely. I searched the tall grass for any signs if movement. Another Scout and I had been sent on a hunting mission, near the southwestern borders of DellHaven. We had decided to split up at a memorable landmark, to cover more ground at meet up there when we were done.
I had been a member of the DellHaven clan for a little more than a month now, and loving every second of it. The loyalty, the responsibility, the feeling that you have a place. Joining a clan is like becoming an adopted member of one big family. I have yet to miss being a loner.
Continuing my search for prey, my nose was in the grass, trying to find a scent trail to follow. Suddenly a maned hare jumped out in front of my muzzle, scaring me half to death. I quickly shook my head and began the chase, digging my claws into the earth for an extra burst of speed.
The hare did not give up, and neither would I. I kept chasing the animal, until my front paw sank into a hidden burrow and tripped me. I flipped over onto my back, landing with a thud.
The wind knocked out of me, I gasped for air till I was able to breath normally again. Opening my eyes and looking up, I was surprised to see another fox standing a little ways off, maned hare hanging from her jaws. She must've caught the hare when I tripped, I realized with a jolt. Scrambling to my paws, I stood and waited for her to do something. Apparently she was waiting for me to do something, too, because we just stood there staring at each other in silence.
The silence and staring enabled me to get a good look at her, though. She was quite beautiful, if not a bit scruffy. Her fur was white and brown, with a painted, horse like pattern to it. She wore a deep purple cloak, with a hood that was currently down, which seemed like an odd thing to wear in the hot weather. Under the cloak she had a necklace with purple beads and what I'm pretty sure were Thornback thorns. Her back leg had a scrap of dark blue cloth tied around her ankle, which looked like the same material as her cloak. Her stance was not dominant, but not really submissive either. Her blue eyes were strong, but a hint of fear and... Possibly sadness? Regret? I don't know, I'm not the best at reading emotions from a distance.
She seemed to notice me examining her, and her fur bristled, eyes narrowed, and turned to leave. "Wait!" I called out frantically. "Who are you?" She paused, and glanced over her shoulder at me before dropping the hare and racing off, at a speed I knew I couldn't match just then.
Sighing, I went to pick up the hare. Looking around, I realized I was a well past the border of the territory, probably in the Safe Haven zone. Grasping the fluffy scruff of the rabbit in my jaws, I got a whiff of her scent, and froze.
I recognized that smell from somewhere... It was almost sharp and cold, with a piney, earthy hint to it, mixed with wildflowers and summer breeze. A scent like that is not easily forgotten... And I think I knew where I'd smelled it before.
When I first joined the pack, still a Recruit, I was being shown the territory by some foxes. We came across some paw prints and a scent trail, barely a day old, of a loner who had seemingly ran, at full speed, through out territory without hesitation. We made nothing of it then, but I knew this loner was the same one I met today.
I smiled as I trotted back to the meeting spot, making a promise to myself that I would meet that fox again, and learn her name, no matter what.
