lucky charm; Believe it or not, it's his halter. If he wears the halter before a show he always wins it. Call it superstition but anybody around him believes that it's true.

lucky charm; His lucky charm is actually a poker card, of course the Ace of Spades. When he was a foal, Ace stole a deck of poker cards and scattered them all across his dam's and his pasture. Out of all 52 cards, he ended up keeping and playing with the ace of spades. That's what inspired his show name, & has been with him ever since bring him luck, whether in training or at competition. It's typically tucked into his bridle cheek strap or in a special pocket sewn into his saddlepad. The original card has long been replaced, but Amethyst replaced it with a laminated card so it would last longer without getting damaged or ruined by sweat or mud.
