About design & edits:
All the shiny on his/her markings is the markings themselves,
not shading, but the reds-oranges are slightly iridescent!
The ears are flexible and fluffy, sometimes flopping over.
The head and neck fur is also extra fluffy.
The tail [yes, extra fluffy] is loosely curled.
The legs are shorter than normal.
The tail feathers are not edits, just redrawn to see better.

I will judge based off of these criteria, some of them unusual to me since this is writing based.
-Correct grammar, spelling, and syntax.
-How effectively the prompts were used to demonstrate character
-How well the sections addressed their original prompt
-Uniqueness of ideas
-Realism: Does this character feel like they could exist or are they too exaggerated?
-Ability of the writing to hold attention. (basically, not too repetitive or needlessly over descriptive.)

Username: Hello, I'm Tea., I used to be Gone Forever.
Name: Nori - Edible seaweed used in Sushi
Gender: Female
Sexuality & Them: My ears flattened. "H-hey.. I know you're curious but... Okay fine." I stuttered, glancing towards my sister with a look of faint fear. "I-.. I-I'm Bisexual. Don't tell dad, please! Y'know how he is... He could shun me and kick me out... I'm scared.. I want mom.."
Describe their Bedroom: Nori's bedroom is filled with lots of.. squids. Squid plushies, squid pillows, squid themed trinkets. If it doesn't involve squids, it's either a soft orange or an electric blue. She has several game consoles and even a corner prepared for cats or kittens.

Conversation: {with Aurum, when Nori was younger}
Nori; "Hi Miss Aurum!"

Aurum; {Jumps in surprise} "Oh, hello Nori. How's your mother? Is her cough getting better?"

Nori; {Confused look} "What? Momma is sick?"

Aurum; {Look of panic} "Oh, no, she just has a little cough dear. Don't worry about it."

Nori; "Why would I worry? She is okay, right?"

Aurum; "Of course she is! Nori, can you help me take these blackberries back to my shop? You can take your mother some flowers on the way back." {Slightly nervous look}

Nori; "Okay!" {Trots towards Aurum's shop}

About the Plushie: Nori's mother sewed the plushie out of a shiny, silky material. Her mother never mentioned what material it was, but it was extremely soft and Nori loved it. She still owns it to this day, and never gets rid of it. The plushie's name is Ika, meaning Squid in Japanese.
Hobby: Nori's hobby is more of a job. She volunteers as a helper at a local animal shelter, and occasionally fosters kittens, much to the disagreement of her friend. Her heart is entirely set on kittens, and will even let them touch Ika. No one but kittens have ever touched Ika.
How they show Affection: Nori doesn't show affection in a normal way. She isn't a very touchy person and prefers to leave them gifts and tokens that have sentimental value to her.
One Quirk: When upset or nervous, you count the steps you take. If you lose count, you count backwards. Your attention will be locked only on the task at hand - counting the steps you take and how often you take them.
Breaking Point: Nori would completely break if someone broke Ika. It was a gift from her mother, who she hasn't seen since she left to pursue her dream. Last she heard, her mother was frail and quiet. Ika is the closest thing Nori has to her mother, who's been gone for years.
Childhood: "Umm... Mommy? Why are we going to the beach?" I had asked. What did the beach look like? I had no clue, but apparently mommy was taking me there. "You'll see, Nori! It's wonderful there, with seashells, and the sand, and the dark blue water.. Just wait." And so I waited, asking every few seconds if we were there yet. Mommy would just laugh, calling me silly. And when we arrived... She was right, it was beautiful. I, to this day, love the beach, even though we don't go there as much, like we used to..
Irritation: You hate when others touch Ika. It makes you furious, and sometimes you'll lash out at whoever was touching the plushie. What makes it worse is when their hands are dirty, or sticky, or wet! Poor Ika..
Goals for the Future: Nori wants to work as a game designer. When she was much younger, Nori's father brought her an old game console to play with. Nori found that it bored her with the plain, pixelated graphics and tried to draw another version.
Extra #1: "Nori, dear, come here." My mom's voice rang out through the house, gesturing for me to come see the small pink thing she held in her hand. It looked shiny, but it was soft and silky. "Momma, what is it?" She smiled down at me softly, warmth glowing in her eyes. "It's a toy, dear. It's a little squid. I call it Ika, but you can call it what you want." Nori hugged the plushie, beaming up at her mother. "I like the name Ika!" Nodding her approval, her mother stared down at the young plumie. "So do I."

who she was. She must be strange, she thought, different from her
friends, who were constantly talking about their latest crushes. Sakana
was embarrassed by her lack of attraction to others. She kept it a secret,
pretending to have crushes of her own, but it wasn’t long before her
friends began to notice. The topic of who-likes-who would make Sakana
shift uncomfortably and change the subject. Eventually Sakana hesitantly
admitted to her friends how she truly really felt. She was scared that they
would reject her, stare at her in disgust, exile her as an outcast, but to
her surprise, they smiled at her with the same friendliness they always
had and reassured her that it was okay. Sakana was relieved; perhaps
she wasn’t some sort of deep sea creature after all.

deep sea serenity setting into the night.

her delicately painted hands in still motion, beaming at me with
a happiness that could fill the whole sea. Awestruck, I looked at
