Name; •Cherika; The moon

Gender; Female

Personality; Shy, Timid, Quiet, Mysterious, Intriguing

Why it has the Dream catcher; Once, Cherika loved the day, sun, light, and all things bright. Then, tragedy struck... Her parents both killed one night while Cherika was out with some friends. For the first week without her parents, she didn't eat, sleep, talk, or leave her room. On the 8th day, her grandparents came in. Seeing her condition, she was rushed to the hospital. Her grandparents put a dream catcher over her bed, so she could have good dreams. Cherika nearly died. Her name used to be Zuvan, meaning sun. Her parents loved the sun, and bright things. She changed it to Cherkia, meaning moon. She keeps the dream catcher with her at all times, because it reminds her that someone cared enough to save her life. She began sleeping during the day, because it caused to much metal pain to see something that her parents loved so much. Her grandparents worried at first about Cherika staying asleep all day. They were also scared about her changing her name. When they slipped up and called her Zuvan instead of Cherika, she broke down in tears, and cried for nearly an hour. Her grandparents where scared. After a year of living with Cherika, they were used to everything. Her grandparents were old when they took in Cherika. 2 months after Cherika was old enough to move out, her grandmother died. The same things that happened when her parents died, happened again. She stayed at the hospital for a while. During her time at the hospital, her grandfather died. She cherished the dream catcher. Her friends tried to mess with her by hiding it. She doesn’t trust much of anyone anymore, thus her ears are down most of the time. She’s beginning to cope, and talk more.. but it’ll be a long, long process.

Why it has the Dream catcher; It was dark.

Asteri heard screaming. Suddenly, light flooded in. She had been closing her eyes. Fire was destroying everything she knew. Her home, her town! And she saw her family, whisked away by the ravenous flames. This shouldn't be happening. This can't be happening! She opened her mouth to call out, but smoke choked her. She coughed, trying to breathe. And she closed her eyes again.

Asteri woke up with a start, crying. It was weirdly dark, and she was going to panic but she remembered.

She was blind.

She felt a soft paw, stroking her hair. Sobbing, she gasped out, "I don't want to see them anymore. Make him choose someone else!" Her mother sighed. Her mother was always there for her, when she dreamt, saw visions. "You know I can't, My star child. It's written in the stars. Fate, destiny, it can never be changed. All the shaman did was read what was written." She helped her off of her bed, and wiped her tears. "You're so superstitious mom." Asteri sighed. Her mom laughed. "I like to call it, "believing in the truth." You know, the truth others don't want to believe. I think they're scared to believe." When she didn't answer, her mom sighed. "I know you hate this. So, I got you this. Maybe... maybe it'll help." She lifted up her paw and put the item on her hand. Asteri looked down. "W-what is it?" She asked. "A dream catcher. They say it filters out bad dreams, and leaves good ones. So maybe it'll make your visions, well, less worse."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It happened. The fire destroyed everything, and Asteri couldn't do anything about it. So she held her dream catcher, and watched, or more, listened. "It'll protect me. The dream catcher will protect me." She clutched it to her heart.

    why it has the Dream Catcher;

      Dark, disturbing, and mind turning beast fill the work of Eons thoughts. His dark surrounds give no help at all, but the one light to shine through the nightmares, his miniature Dream Catcher.

      Ever since Eon was a little Plumie, his brain wouldn’t really… “dream” for some reason. He was the oddball in the group, but that never stopped him. He continued to live like a normal young one would do, and never let the rumors or shot outs bother him. Yes, he heard them, but they just made him realize more and more, he was unique. Hi Dream Catcher is like a symbol of his uniqueness. He made a few years ago, it helps him sleep, it helps him calm himself, and it helps him

Why she has the Dream catcher;Sanya is an excessive dreamer. During the dream(or daydream) she will remember it. But, the second reality sets in she forgets most of it. Being a very superstitious plumie(in the least) she believes the dream catcher will help her remember her dreams. Because there's no predicting when she'll slip off she keeps it with her at all times. Of course, it's not always carried in her mouth. When she bought it her sick mother helped pick it out. Sanya had been trying to find the perfect one, and one time her mother accompanied her. They had been looking the whole day when her mother noticed it. At first Sanya didn't like it that much. But, as she looked at it she felt as if a strange force was with her. A few months later her mother fell ill with lung cancer. Three weeks following her mother had gone. The dream catcher was the last thing her mother had given Sanya, which adds to why it's so special. Sanya also thinks that it will help her have good dreams rather than nightmares( much like other dream catcher superstition). Once her mother had died she was grieving a lot and didn't take her dream catcher with her when she left. She had grief-induced nightmares and once the worst of the grief was over began using it again. She gradually had good dreams more, as the grief grew less. All in all, she keeps it to have good dreams, remember her dreams, and keep something in memory of her mother.

➺ Why she has the dreamcatcher;; Aya's life had been rather peaceful in the beginning. This little girl was born in a tribe of natives, named for her diminutive size. From day one, she had one of the most beautiful dreamcatcher's in her tribe. The family was well-known for being the ones with the wildest dreams ; in fact, most of them tended to come true at some point in their lives. Aya was no different. She loved her first dreamcatcher, and she never went anywhere without it. Until in disintegrated like the rest of the kids' dreamcatchers.

Suddenly, the day after it broke, strange plumerians invaded their home territory. They cut down trees, carving paths through the dense woodlands. Many were taken captive against their wills. Aya had no choice but to run far, far away. She grabbed her great-grandmother's old dusty dreamcatcher as she ran. When she had gone enough distance to be safe, she noticed that no feather's adorned the little webbed ring. So, she pulled out some of her own feathers, some string, and mom's old beads. Although it wasn't the most traditional way of making one, the dreamcatcher worked like a charm.

Eventually she made it safely across the country to the new home of some plumies from her disbanded tribe, but she couldn't have done it without one of her wildest dreams coming true. It wasn't another plumie who helped her navigate cross-country.. It was actually a pack of wolves that guided her! She was found by the wolves after she had ran from her previous home. The pack took her in, fed her, and took her with them on their nomadic travels. She had quite an adventure. Her friends were uneasy about that at first ; some of them still are. But, like the rest of her tribe would be, they were grateful that they had brought her home.

However, she still carries the dreamcatcher everywhere. Whether she dangles it from her neck, ties it to her tail, or even just carries it with her own two paws, she never lets it out of her sight.

All of the spirits pointed towards one thing, and one thing only. It was dawning to morning, as the sun rose the belt of Venus kissed the teal waters end and turned it pink. Soon all of the bad dream ensnared in his dreamcatcher would be burnt by the daylight. You'd almost feel bad for the nasty dreams tangled within the protective web, although the spirits watching knew better.

Grandmother had told him, of how Asibikaashi watched over every child, including him, as long as he kept his dream snare close. For aureate Asibikaashi could not be in all corners at once. "Hanging off the strands of your hair, close to your mind and close to your heart," She said as she tenderly wove the feathers string through her grandson's vibrissa. Back then Kai had only been a child, watching the feather that cared for him in the night wave in the brilliant air.

 When gloaming had come good dreams would drip down the singular feather, so gently into his mind. An owls feather to represent the knowledge of his mother, and his grandmothers protected him, and vise versa, within the cradle.

Now, his first ever dream snare had collapsed, as aged sinew and willow eventually does. Just as youth does. From the memories Kai created a new one with his grandmother aid, sitting by the grasses of home, speaking stories. His adult dreamcatcher came with grandmothers tales of father sky and mother earth, her vision quest and feather collecting.

Of course, that feather wasn't supposed to stay with him once he became a man. He just couldn't let it go yet. But, he'll press his fingers onto it whenever he sees dreamcatchera made for entertainment and wonder if they know of Asibikaashi, and if they had the right kinds of feathers, and if people thought about its story.

Even now, miles away from the reserve in which Kai grew up he knows he is protected. For what defended his dreams is truly the work of his people, one that followed the fables and legends his bloodline had passed down.

Why it has the Dream catcher;
Incense filled the air before I opened the door.
Shadows and flickering light cast the scene inside, behind the frosted glass the scene became macabre.
Entering the shop with a tinkle changed the scene to a plumie simply stacking boxes and scribbling notes on scattered parchment; whether this was organised chaos or plain disorganised I could not tell. She did not look up, but spoke softly, a merry old tune, "What do you seek."
"A tale." She gazed at him, raising an eyebrow, not following.
I started forward in a rush, a hint of desperation in my tone, "Last night, you spoke of a cure for my daughter. How listening to a tale would cure poorliness."
Pausing her scribbling, she stared into me, recollecting, to prove my words held truth. "I remember you. Well, sit, as this is a long tale."
She breathed deeply as she began, "Come with me and you will see, the greatest act ever to be."

The next several hours, he sat listening; sometimes dulled, bored from drawl, other times sharp, leaning forward, ecstatic, as the plumie before him told of epic battles that seemed to still the very air...
Quite on accident he noticed a young plumie vaguely hidden, listening intently, yet murmured her own song as she prepared a petite box, words traveled over;

"Here I stay and at your side,
Even though my time had dried.
I feel the lightness upon my feet,
And remember the days to where we meet
Curse such fate that split us in two,
For here and now I wish not be true.
But the birds were here, it's time to fly,
And deserve a goodnight lullaby."

Herbs...?
Little one took the dreamcatcher from her hair, and with the dreamcatcher in between, kissed the box.

Image

The candles dimmed. "It is late, off you trot home." storyteller interrupted.
"But-" Little plumie bounced forward, dreamcatcher now safely secured in hair, "This will be more than enough to do the trick! It's magic~ Just set where she sleeps."
After he left, the older plumie turned to Lenora, "So, what adventure's next?"
