what's her favorite thing to do for the holidays?
Silence loves to do many things. But this mischievous Mare always has her eyes set on one specific thing,
tinsel. She lives by a few Farm houses, whom used to hang tinsel on their houses for Christmas, Trees, bushes and fencing, untill they started to dissapear day by day. One young farmer happened to catch sight of a Dapple Gray mare tearing the tinsel off some of the fence and proceed to prance and play like a filly. She still loves to play with the shinny toys, but the Farmers quickly learned to set them out of her reach, however a small few leave out peppermints and a bundle of tinsel to attract the mare on Christmas.

what's her favorite thing to do for the holidays? Noel loves to play in the snow. She likes hanging out with her family, having snowball fights, and designing snowball fighting forts. She loves the cold and can hardly feel it. Noel loves picking berries during winter and making cool gifts for friends out of fun things she finds outside. The sparkling white crystal snow is one of her favorite parts of the holidays. Going out and getting a Christmas Tree and decorating it with pretty lights and fun ornaments is also fun. But her favorite part of all is singing christmas songs with family. Noel secretly wishes to be one of Santa's reindeer and has a super secret crush on Comet.... :p

what's her favorite thing to do for the holidays? Visit the Pilfri tribe. Don't know what that means? Let me share with you a story...

From the log of Marie Troy: March 8th, 1998, Pilfri tribe, northern Izbek desert:
The holidays in the desert are vastly different than the holidays you and I know. Life in the desert is harsh, and winter is no exception. Food is not plentiful in the spring and summer months, but in the winter there is even less to be found.

The wild horses that roam the desert also disappear in the winter months, moving south to where the winds are less harsh. Their departure leaves freezing nights in their wake. By the fire last night the chieftain told the story of The Denna (translation: The Cold's Shepherd), the horse that is always the first to return to their basin. The mare, they tell, arrives just when their stores of food run out. With her she brings new growth and the promise of warm winds. Just when they feel they cannot hold out any longer, someone will come shouting that they have seen her - they have seen The Denna!

I have seen this "Denna" with my own eyes - I know that she is not just a legend. The Denna is a grey mare, a delicate mustang, and as real as you or I. But she is a peculiar horse, unlike any of the other wild horses I have seen here, for The Denna does not fear people. On the night that she returns, she visits their village, and she allows them to touch her. They tie a ribbon in her mane, for thanks, and place a ceremonial garland of dried vines around her legs. Once their ceremony is ended and they have prayed for thanks, the mare walks off. No one stops her. Within a week there was new growth and the nights had lost their frost. It truly was a magical experience.

what's her favorite thing to do for the holidays? Mistletoe actually can't stand the cold, but with her traveling to the US, the winters are much worse than what she's used to in the desert. So her favorite thing to do for the cold winter days, is stay in her nice warm stall with her blankets and a healthy covering of bedding. It makes it so much better that her owners actually decorate the barn and stalls for the holidays, and loads of presents appear every year at Christmas, she definitely appreciates the peppermint wreath on her stall. So this year at the first snow fall she was put out to her pasture so she wouldn't get into the decorations but it seems to happen every year, she just loves the sparkle of it all!
