My POV

- What does Christmas mean to you?;;

The Christmas season is about family coming together, and for me it's also about plying my wonderful horses with treats (it has to be special for them too, you know?). It seems like today most people are focused on the gift aspect of Christmas and everyone just wants more and more. Christmas needs to be about the giving, and the love, and the ability to share what you can with others. Those small acts of kindness that can potentially brighten someone's day. Even though I don't exactly celebrate Christmas (Yule is where I stand, it's different in a couple aspects) the season is still widespread and even if it's not part of someone's beliefs they should still get caught up in the giving at the close of the year.

- What is your favorite thing about Christmas?;;

Is it silly if I say the weather? The closer it is to Christmas the colder it gets and with a break off from school it's nice to go out and experience weather that's below 90 degrees. During the Christmas season, my family takes numerous trips to parks and sometimes to the beach (to freeze off our feet and have some awesome picture opportunities). It's so much fun to be able to enjoy ourselves outside together, whether with my family, or with my horses, (speaking of which this weather makes them super spunky and my horse is super cute and stud-ly when he's cold) the cold weather is definitely something I look forward to.

- What does Christmas mean to you?;;

To me I believe Christmas is a time of happiness. It seems that around the stables the general mood is more uplifting, and I can't help but get swept up in it. I feel like foal at Christmas time, and no one can seem to help themselves but to join in on the fun!

- What is your favorite thing about Christmas?;;

I would say that it's all the happiness that permeates the stables, but there is one thing I look forward to more... the aurora borealis. I used to not know the name of all those shimmering colours that filled my heart and eyes with joy, but my owner noticed my infatuation with the dancing skies and told me all about them. Little does she know I listened so intently! But yes, the aurora is what I look forward to most in those colder monochrome months, I look for the arrival of colour to watch over me as I sleep.

- Personality;;

Seraphina is a sweetheart. She doesn't even know the meaning of the word cruel and even if she just accidentally trips and bumps into someone she will throw herself into a litany of "I'm so sorry!'s" and ask if she can do anything to make up for her offense. Seraphina loves to give to others, and will often give backscratches to any horse she thinks needs a friend to brighten their day. It's hard to stay mad at such a sweet horse, so Seraphina has no shortage of friends and she makes sure none of them are forgotten or passed aside, and by doing so she manages to make each of them feel special, and to her, they are.

Playing in it, sneezing in it, eating it, rolling in it, stepping in it, licking it, making things with it Much talent, blowing in it, digging in it, sleeping in it, running in it, staring at it, sticking your face in it, and finally.... throwing it at the humans so there "supposively" beautiful pants and shirts can get covered in it and its so funny when they scream and stomp around because of that, like a bunch of mad ducklings"

My Point of View
What does Christmas mean to you?
Well, it means getting lots of presents and spending time with family and friends, but what it really means is getting to celebrate Jesus' birth and help those in need. Our church gets boxes and fills them with the essentials and toys for kids in parts of the world that are impoverished, and we get a family of eleven or so each Christmas season which we get clothes and books and such to send to them.

What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
My favorite thing about Christmas is helping others out, and the lights and laughter and music. Because I really, really like to sing and dance, though right now Im still getting the courage to sing in front of others.

Origin's Point of View
What does Christmas mean to you?
-Snorts- Christmas, to me, means lots of cold white stuff you humans call snow, and running and playing with my friends. It also means lots of smelly hang up things on the barn and the house, and many strings of bright things, and what you humans call Christmas trees and presents. But to me, it really means fun and watching humans help each other in good faith.

What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
-Ears perk up- My favorite thing about Christmas? Well, I would have to say that would be getting extra treats from my people, and getting to spend lots of time with my friends, especially ones from other stables because each year a different one of the farms or ranches will have a holiday party and invite everyone to their property, including us Tolters!

All about Origin
Personality: Origin is quite the sweet and gentle boy, his love of snow and all things Winter greatly obvious once you have gotten to know him well enough. He is a bit of a flirt, trying to get both mares and stallions to like him. He is bisexual, and he does not try and hide it, in fact it may seem to anyone that he actually flaunts. He also really likes foals and wishes for some of his own one of these days!

1 Extra History maybe?
Well, it was a cold winter's night when the handsome stallion came into this world. He was tiny and darkly colored, unlike his parents which both happened to be lighter colored horses with soft markings. His markings developed, and appeared to be quite white and pretty loud, if you will. Yet, they knew he was theirs as he had been born of the mare and the stallion had helped create him. So, despite him not looking a thing like either one of his parents, the two Tolters loved him deeply and called him Origin, hearing the humans of the barn seeming to be calling him "Made of Love" and saying something about his origins. The mare and stallion thought Origin fit him. Well, you see, one day a beautiful young redhead came to look at the colt, and she told her sister and much older brother that she wanted him for one of her own. So, Origin was brought back to what many call the Tolter Haven, where he grew up with Belle, Arrows, and young Orion. He met the two mares Kimberly and Jessica, and watched them fall in love. He got to see the births of Ace, Sabriel, and then Morgana after her mother Undri was introduced to him then met her mate Parrottalk. He also got to meet Courage when he was brought in with Undri, and see Courage fall in love with Skoll. Now, Origin waits to meet his own One True Love, here at the Haven.

What does christmas mean to me?: to me christmas is a time where I get to show my appreciation for my friends and family. I usually cant afford to buy expensive gifts, but I love making hand made ones for everyone~. Its also a chance for me to give my girlfriend great gifts without her getting all embarrassed because I'm spending money on her x3

What is your favorite thing about christmas?: well, this year my favorite thing is that I will be getting my memorial tattoo for my cousin that passed away last July. I miss her so much and I was so excited when my parents told me they were paying for my tattoo as one of my presents. Christmas also gives us a chance to travel back to Texas to see family, and a lot of times its the only time of the year we actually get to see everyone so I'd have to say thats my favorite part~

What does Christmas mean to this tolter?: to this big guy its the time of the year where he gets to help out with the sleigh rides, and he loves it! He is usually paired off with another horse and they give sleigh rides around town and he loves the bells and ribbons that decorate his harness and mane during this time of year


What is his favorite part?: the kids! He's a big softy who loves children and enjoys spending time with them. His owner often brings along treats so that the kids can give them to him after the ride while they're petting him. He loves the attention.


Extra:
Snow flakes fluttered down from the grey clouds that concealed the sky, covering the earth in a blanket that muffled sound and gave the small town a rather peaceful atmosphere. The townspeople moved along the main street in groups of two and three, searching the shops for Christmas gifts that might suit their loved ones, and purchasing treats from the local bakeries and sweet shops. The jingling of bells and sharp click of hooves along the street had children pausing and looking down the road excitedly, spotting the brightly colored horse drawn sleigh approaching. Many gave squeals and cheers of delight, leaving their parent's sides to go greet the driver and the two horses in a harness that was adorned with bells and ribbons.

The sleigh pulled along side the curb and slowed to a stop so that the current occupants could disembark, the driver slipping each person a small mint to give to the horses as a reward for their work. The mare, a soft eyed grullo by the name of Hope, quietly accepted the treat that one of the adults from the family that had been riding in the sleigh offered her, along with a few strokes to the nose. The stallion, who was more energetic and appeared to be fully enjoying himself, happily nuzzled the children that approached him, sniffing at their mitten covered hands in search of treats. His antics coaxed giggles from the small group that had gathered, and those that had been given mints were glad to surrender them to the friendly horse. He lipped them gently from their palms and crunched them down before returning his attention to the little ones. They really were his favorite part of the season, and he loved to playfully snag the hats from their heads or press his nose into their hands in search of more petting.
