_____________________________________________________name -Alieda Brielle Walker -->
age - 20 ish [I'm keeping her the same age as her twin, Valli]
about alieda - Ali can be really quiet, but is usually straight-forward when she does speak. She hates the cold so she bundles up well and really breaks out of her shell, so to speak, in the summer. Alieda loves to surf and hangs out at the beach a lot. More often than not she is calm and sometimes brutally honest. She has a temper though, after you aggravate her one too many times you may lose a finger or two, but she also knows when enough is enough. Ali can be rather distant as she isn't good at opening up or trusting others easily. She works at the orphanage and has for a while, she's not sure why she started to but at first she just volunteered there and then decided to work there. Before she started there she was in a car wreck, which was a few months ago, and gave her amnesia and a broken left arm but she still doesn't remember anything from before the wreck. Her arm has healed but her memories haven't come back. Sometimes she wonders who she used to know and who remembers her. Ali can get kind of frustrated with not remembering and feels like she can't just go say hello to just anyone, they may not like her and her not know why. Since then, however, she has gotten to know her twin Valli, and now knows that she has a half sister named Eira. She visits Valli often and isn't too sure how to approach Eira.

[why do you want to adopt him/her?]
_________________________________________________________________________________________________I feel like everyone should have a home and although i don't know this little one's design I know that they are just wanting to be loved and I have the personal experience of abandonment and loneliness and I hate to see anyone or anything feel that way, I understand it and always love to try and help others with it, it's a constant struggle. One that can make you doubt yourself and those around you but it's also one that can make you love the little things even more. A simple I love you in a motherly or fatherly way or a hug can make the day. Or a friend sticking up for you, it makes the struggle seem worth it even if it can be a damper on your emotions sometimes. So to help with the struggle I want to offer my open arms and open family of odd but unique characters to welcome him/her to have a family for Christmas. One that I'm sure isn't always the best but at the end of the day is filled with love and hope that someday everyone, bean, human, bear, etc. will have someone to love them and to love at Christmas and the rest of their years.
[why I would like alieda to be their parent]
_________________________________________________________________________________________________Laces owned Alieda before me and is an amazing owner and had a good reason to give me Ali and I will always be grateful she chose me, but since she hasn't been in my care for too long I still am trying to get her right, let her make friends and develop personality, and I'm still learning who she did and didn't know before I owned her. Since I tried out for 500 I've had the idea that she'd me an awesome single mom, maybe not forever as I wouldn't mind finding her a mate, but to me her attitude and nature would be perfect for this. I also think that since she is trying to figure herself out, because of the amnesia the orphanage was a good place for her to work, it's full of kids who need to find themselves and a home. So it seemed good for her. Now this seems like it would be right for her and for me.

✴ ✴ ✴ [red ribbons] ✴ ✴ ✴
- Alieda had a rough morning already and was nice and late for work and then one of the kids tore her scarf and they were all kinda crazy today. All running about trying to look good and some even made it a competition. Most kids hoped that this Christmas they'd find a home and some just hated Christmas. Either way it was crazy at the orphanage and it'd been a tiring morning so Alieda figured a walk in the park with her hot cocoa would be a nice break. when she arrived it had only just began to snow and so she sat on a bench and once she finished her hot chocolate she got up and threw it away and turned hearing her name being called out. "A-Alieda? Is that you?" She looked and it was an unfamiliar face. 'Oh no, they must have known me from before..' She couldn't help but be a bit embarrassed and frustrated at her memory loss. "Hello? I am Alieda, but I don't remember you, sorry.. I-I don't remember anything from before I was in the wreck." She said to the younger male apologetically. "Oh... Well I'm Cruz." They both stood therefor a moment and Ali wasn't quite sure what to say or do, she hadn't been the best at dealing with this yet but usually they said more.
Cruz spoke to her after a few moments, she guessed he was recalling how she used to be. That always made her feel weird that other beans knew more about her than she did. "Well how are you?" He asked her, the slightly younger male seemed like he was sad for some reason and her heart wanted to comfort him, but she knew she couldn't just pretend to know him again to try and make him feel better. "I'm alright, still trying to figure things out I guess. How are you?" She asked and did hope maybe he'd talk to her and feel a little better. They talked for a little while before deciding to walk, Alieda had a while before she needed to be back and Cruz didn't seem like he wanted to go home so they went down a snowy path talking about life and she opened up to him, hoping he would open up to her as well.

- As they walked through the snowy forest the wind and snow picked up. "brrrrr." Alieda shivered and squinted her eyes for a moment, thinking she saw a red streak on the ground. "Wha...?" She blinked and looked again, before pointing as it became clearer, the snow was starting to cover it up and so she hurried towards it, a little red ribbon being knocked around by the wind and snow. As she neared there was some kind of urgency in the air and the wind and snow continued to cover over the red. "What is it??" She had to almost yell and she could see Cruz hurrying as well but couldn't hear his words. She gently grabbed the ribbon before being able to tell it was attached to something. She read the tag and wondered if a kid had thrown a prank Christmas present out or something. Something in her stomach told her that wasn't the case as she knelt down with Cruz on her left and the both brushed through snow until they saw it, both gasping in horror.
Neither of them understood how anyone could just leave an egg out here in the cold. Alieda was the first to move knowing that if she was cold the poor egg was probably near death, she unwrapped the ribbon with that horrible note, anger burning in her belly that anyone could put that on their own child and leave them to die at least the ones who took them to the orphanage didn't leave them in the cold! She scooped up the egg and wrapped it in her scarf and snow hit her collar making her shiver which only made her wonder if the little one inside was still alive. She held it to her ear but could hear nothing over the wind and she didn't want to spare a single moment, so she just put the scarf wrapped egg in her pouch and made sure her jacket was zipped, ad that the egg was nice and secure before turning to Cruz. "We have to hurry and make sure it's ok!" Cruz nodded and the both hurried out of the park and to the street, Alieda holding her pouch, so the egg didn't bounce around to much. Cruz found a cab and Alieda rattled off the address of the orphanage as they piled in, only thinking of the egg's safety. 'come on little guy I know you can make it!'
They arrived within a few minutes and Alieda was still clutching her pouch and worrying, mostly going back and forth from 'how could anyone do this' to 'please be ok'. Once they were inside Alieda told everyone what had happened and the rest of the staff cleared an incubator and flipped it on. Alieda left her scarf on the egg clad bean and set it in gently and they waited for the incubator's monitor to beep, to show life, a heartbeat. Those seconds were the longest and just as they thought it wasn't going to work a slow quiet beep came up. "Oh yes!! I knew you could do it!" Alieda whispered, and everyone in the room let out a breath. Soon Cruz left, but promised to come back in and check on the little fighter and the rest of the staff said it would need watching and Alieda volunteered. She felt like it was her responsibility, plus she wanted to make sure the egg made it, so far so good but it still had to be watched. As the day went on one of her co-worker's brought her a coffee and then the boss came in and sat down. "So no one was around right?" She asked softly but Alieda could tell she meant business, as usual. "No, and there was this awful ribbon with a tag that said 'worst Christmas present ever'." She answered sipping on they last bits of her coffee. She glanced at the egg and the focused her blue eyes on the boss again. "Ok, um well since you found the poor dear, you can set up the adoption if you'd like?" Her boss peered at her and gave her a tired smile. She knew it was supposed to be an honor but she didn't know how she could watch that. "No thank you ma'am." She answered and the boss left her to her duties. As night approached her shift was close to ending but she had nothing better at home so she said she'd pick up and extra shift tonight, her boss told her to go home but she couldn't.

- Some of the kids there snored and in the nursery, where the incubator was at, the younger beans slept soundly, there weren't many young ones, the adopting families liked younger kids, once they were older not as many families wanted them. She liked that most kept hope though. Alieda looked over at the egg and laid a gentle hand on it, the soft fabric of her scarf moving a bit as she did. "You keep on fighting, little guy.. or girl.. either way you're a trooper." She told the egg quietly. Her coffee was beginning to ware off and she had to stay awake so she just kept talking, her hair pulled into a messy bun and the rocking chair she'd pulled over was beginning to pull her into sleep so she stopped rocking and just kept talking to the egg about everything, how lonely her apartment was, how her arm hurt sometimes still and just anything she could think of. By the time she was almost asleep she was about out of topics to talk about and her hand was getting a little toasty for her taste so she ended up curling herself in the chair and looking at egg, fighting her sleep all the way. The last thing she said was a drowsy "I'll never leave you eggy..." before her eyelids grew to heavy and she fell asleep.
A few days went by, Alieda keeping watch and the mandatory wait and newspaper ad to see if anyone knew where the egg's parents' were. Then the adoption interviews started, she knew a lot of family's would see the little article in the newspaper and come to see if the could bring it home. She tried to ignore it and remembered the little red ribbon that was wrapped arounf the egg when she found it. So she went and bought the egg a new ribbon and tied it around it, leaving a little bow on there. "See? Now you're red ribbon means you are a prize! A wonderful one too, I don't see how they couldn't see you like that in the first place." She told the egg. Alieda went and got herself a drink and checked on some of the other kids before seeing Cruz had come to check on the little one and so she showed him his or her's little heartbeat. "See how much stronger they are already?" She said softly. He nodded and smiled. "Yeah I see you got the egg a new ribbon?" He asked and she thought she saw a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Yeah I did." She looked away when she said it, feeling now as though it might have been silly. "You know you should adopt the egg, you obviously love them already." Cruz told her and she didn't really listen to her reply or the rest of the conversation. 'I guess I do huh? maybe I should, plus I already promised not to leave... I don't know I'll wait for a sign..' So she waited and one day later that week she saw her boss standing with this family she had seen before. "Oh Ms. Walker, this is one of the potential families. They heard how much you've looked after the egg and wanted to thank you." Alieda blinked and tried to be filled with a sense of accomplishment and such but could only dislike that they were already discussing things past interviews with some families. The family had this kid who looked at her the whole time and right before they left came running up to her. "You are very nice miss! Take this thingy!" And the kid dropped a little red tail ribbon into her paw. She blinked and knew this was her sign. "Ok alright, I know what I need to do now." She whispered and set up and interview with her boss, to which her boss said "Finally!"
honestly it didn't sound right
when I tried to shorten it,
and Cruz belongs to Laces.
Good luck on judging nwn.

Q: Do you want girl or a Boy?
A: I honestly don't mind either one, I'd love them just as much either way. I can see a little girl in a red dress or a boy in little overalls or whatever kids wear these days. If I got the little one that's probably what I'd dress them up in until they could pick their clothes out, honestly.
Q: Have you figured out a name for this poor dear?
A: Not really, I like a few names but I'm not sure. I like Rudy for a boy a lot and Isabeau for a girl, but there are a lot of names out there and I wouldn't make a rash decision on something so important.
Q: When the question comes, how will you tell them they're adopted?
A: Well.. I wish it wouldn't but since I know it will, I would tell them the truth.. Then I'd tell them what I have all along, that I won't leave them and then I would tell them I love them no matter what.
Q: What kind of discipline would you use?
A: I don't like snotty, self-entitled kids and so I would be sure to punish when needed, but give them plenty of attention... If they pitched a fit, time out, or if they were really bad I would take away their electronics or toys. I don't like spanking but if I needed to I would, but never hard enough to leave a mark, just show them that what they did is wrong.
Q: Would you love them not matter the outcome?
A: Yes, of course! They could hatch and just be a turtle, but they'd be my baby turtle!
Q: Do you have a plan for daycare or someone to watch them while you work?
A: Uh well.. No, but I'm sure I could figure it out, hire a babysitter or ask my sister. I bet the would keep some of the other kids entertained around the orphanage if I brought them with me though. I might take a personal leave though, while they are little at least, so I don't miss a minute of their life.
Q: Would you ever mentally or physically harm this child in any way?
A: No! I was so angry that someone could even leave them in the cold, It would pain me to even see them hurt.
Q: Say they want to go ride their bike, are you just gonna let them without protective gear or a helmet and sit inside?
A: Oh no, they would not be outside on their own for a long time and even then it better be just to get the mail or something and come right back in. I would always make sure they wore a helmet and definitely knee pads and arm pads. If it's cold they'd be wearing their jackets.
Q: What type of activities will you plan to do with the baby?
A: Well in the summer I love to surf and swim so I would definitely be teaching them how to do that and snorkel and oooo! Collect seashells and make sand castles! Many things, there's so much to do with them.
Q: Will you respect and love them for their decisions in later life?
A: I'm sure sometimes I won't agree with their decisions but I will always love and respect them.
