I chose this rose "Red Planet" because it was the very special rose I planted to mark my first cat's grave in the garden. It's a beautiful dark red, and it has the most wonderful "red fizzy drink" perfume. Every time I see the flowers they make me think of my beloved Spike (she was my kitty for most of my life...it took me a years to get my new cat Ruby)
