- My username, important when you're filling out forms like this ....
"Spookyshine101, but you can just call me Diamond or Spooky. I'm a current non-owner and I really hope that will get one of these lovelies very soon. I'm putting in for this one, #330, #345, and probably #352. I have put in for #347, but didn't win him."
- Her name, showing elegance in it's own right ....
"Katara, which is based of 'Katar'. Katar is a feminine name that means 'crest' in Armenian. I felt like it fit an elegant Chinese Crested babe like her. Her nicknames are Kat, Ara, Tara, Kata, Katty, and many others that were given by her friends."
- Her gender, the first thing you'd notice ....
"She's, of course, feminine. Very tom-boyish, but still...."
- Her beautiful collar, a symbol of her past ....
"On a very frigidly cold night on the winter solstice came 'it' ; what was going to be the worst blizzard of the season. Katara was out tending the new donkey foal, whom she dubbed . Only being a couple years old and there being no where to hide in her wide open farmland, she ran for the door. Sadly everyone, including her parents, were fast asleep and they left the door locked shut. The winds whipped at her unusually short fur coat, sending chills up her spine...literally! She grabbed her fuzzy blue collar and ran out to find someplace that was a tad bit warmer than where she was now."

"Kat finally found some cover under the pavillion where they sheared sheep, but it wasn't enough. Already, she was shivering like mad and was feeling a bit light-headed. Her paw-pads were blue-ish and numb, same as the rest of her exposed skin. Then she found the shelf where they kept the fur that was already cleaned and a spool of woven twine. Even most of her hair was up there! She opened the jar with her hair and stuffed it in her collar. Then she tied the rest to her tail and limbs, so she could run to the open stables in one go. Her somewhat weak legs barely made it there, but she did it. She ran into the stall that had her very affectionate pair of angora goats, and spread the fur she brought on the floor of the stall. It was still freezing, but at least she lived the night somewhat safely."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The next morning, her parents were worried sick! They had no idea where their only daughter had gone. Finally, they had found her inside one of the stalls, pretty much unconcious at the time. She was rushed straight for the hospital for moderate hypothermia. Today, it doesn't have too much of an affect on her daily life and she loves her farm animal friends more than ever. But she never ever takes off her collar anymore. It practically saved her life, and she treats it as a good luck charm."
