#926 Pangare flaxen chestnut fleabitten grey chimeric

Postby dreamwalker » Thu Oct 02, 2014 12:32 pm

whoot! More spoopy tolters! This cutie is based off of a barn owl. I think I'll be doing a couple of tolters from each theme that I have on my list for spoopy totlers, so there will be at least one more owl tolter.

**Edit**
I've decided to adjust the rules with the spoopy tolters a bit. They can breed together, but you would have to breed two spoopy totlers together in order for a foal to have any halloween theme to it. Breeding a spoopy tolter and a regular tolter will result in a foal that does not inherit any 'spooky' or 'halloween' type markings. Only direct offspring of spoopy tolters will inherit spooky markings, meaning that grand-foals, great-grand-foals, etc. will not have spooky markings.

To try for this tolter give them a fitting name and tell me an interesting fact about barn owls
congrats!

fact. Every Barn Owl has its ears positioned at slightly different levels on each side of the head. The left ear is higher than the right. Also, the right ear points slightly upward, and the left ear is naturally pointed slightly downward.

( My favourite bird!)

YOU DID MY OWL TOLTER IDEA QuQ
You don't even know how happy this guy makes me.

Fact: The rate of survival, number of eggs per brood and frequency of broods depends of the availability of prey. On a year with plenty of prey, a mated pair may even have two broods, though the second is always smaller than the first. A normal clutch is from four to seven eggs, though clutches as large as fourteen eggs have been recorded. And we thought raising twins or triplets was difficult!

Free headshots for the first three to get the reference~
