Gumby is absolutely terrified of buckets. Yes, buckets. Or anything remotely cylindrical in shape with a hole at one end. Feed buckets and water buckets are more or less fine (as long as they have food or water in them), but a solitary empty bucket just sitting there? Nope! You never know when they just might open up and swallow you whole. Best to be on the safe side and avoid the cylinders of terror, according to Gumby. He's generally sweet and goofy, but put him in close proximity to a lone, gaping bucket, and you have a hell horse on your hands. Drastic times call for drastic measures, and Gumby will resort to absolutely anything to avoid his greatest fear.

this poor boy is afraid of birds, much like my own horse, he is terrified of them. it is unknown as to why but often times if he hears the call of a crow or large bird of prey he will buck up. when riding him you must be wary of any birds flying overhead, or else you may end up on your tush.
