Don't look back. Don't look back. Don't... Look. Oh now you had to look. I heard my mother whisper, running with me in her jaws. She ran into a clearing and looked around, searching desperately for a place to put me. The air was cold in the forest, even though the sun was shining brightly. She glanced around and sighed in relief when she saw a stone hollow with a bush covering. She tucked me in the hole and kissed my head. She grabbed two bright blue feathers that had fallen from a bright bird and tucked them over my dull feathers. She slowly pulled out the browner feathers and tucked in the blue ones.
You need a name, my sweet... Askuwheteau. It means 'she keeps watch', keep watch my Ashu. She heard the cries of the other plumies and kissed me once more before pelting off into the brush. An agonizing shriek followed by eerie silence confirmed my mothers fate.

"Welcome, welcome!" I grinned as the plumies filled into my part of the forest. I smiled slyly as I looked around at the attendants. Kai , Cegi,___,___, and ___. Decent party, ____ will be hard to impress though...
"Now, before I give the shadows their places, please only comment after the fact." I stated. My eyes lighting up my face.
"Now. Let's begin." I whisked away, and trotted into the darkness of the night. Reaching forward with my paw I caught a strand of shadow. I danced around my paw, and I stared at the piece before whisking it into the air. Kai stared up with wide eyes,
"W-What? How?" He gasped. I grinned, twirling in my spot and feeling the beat of the shadow reach to me.

I leaped up into the air and onto the lowest branch of a tree. I reached out to the shadow and grabbed some strands. I held onto them and used them to parachute me down. The strands weaved themselves together as I fell. They formed into long, silky petals. I stood on my hind legs and twirled as they rose into, well, a rose. I then ducked down and the shadows burst into little flakes of color. The plumies gasped, well, except for ____, stubborn little guy/girl.
I climbed to the top of the tree and stared up at the moon. I whispered a few words, and felt the shadows come to me. I closed my eyes and reached out. I felt the shadows enclose me and I emptied my mind. I hopped out of the tree and as I opened my eyes and flipped to my feet. I quickly turned and whisked my tail through the sparkling shadows. The shadows came crashing down as a wave and was washed up upon our feet. It quickly melt into the ground and I sighed, ____ still wasn't impressed, their mouth was slightly curved, but not enough to be impressed. Cegi, however, was at my feet begging for more. I sighed and wrapped a tendril of shadow around my finger. I shaped it longer and in a shape similar to mine and ____ I gave the sculpted shadow a blow to the muzzle and eyes blinked open. It was a replica of _____. I pushed them over to them and they copied each others actions slowly. I saw sun start to creep over the horizon as the shadow ___ vanished. He/She looked at me,
"OK, I'm impressed."They clapped for me as I bowed.
"Oh, and no repeats." I giggled as I ushered them out of my home.
I gasped and shot up in my bed, panting. My head bumped against the steel railing and I held my chest, looking around. I sighed, floping down in my bed.
Just a silly dream.
