This is one of the 2 mares that came in with the 2 stallions. She is just as covered in mud, dirt, and grease as the other one. We don't know her color besides she is on the lighter side. It will take a long while till she is clean but she still needs a home!
You can pretty up your form but not a lot of gifs.

Blame is a coward but self-righteous
A funny little creature hiding out in me
Hate is power with a price tag
A funny little creature screaming out in me
Listen to me
Fear is a liar but he's been right before
If you fight your shadow, you'll get lost in a war
Ambitions a champ, but he's also greedy
Drunk or sober he always wants more
I always want more
I always want more
Lust is beauty in a body bag
A funny little thing that's screaming "Just use me!"

Show Name: Mudslide
Barn Name: Maddy
Age: 14 years
Gender: Mare
Breed: Paso Fino
Height: 15.2 hands
Color: Unknown (will be revealed)
Personality: Maddy is a super laid back horse. In fact, she barely even minded the fact that she had to wade through mud as deep as her stomach to get back to the barn. But, being so laid-back also means that this mare can be rather lazy. There are very few riders that can get her to move faster than a slow trot without the use of spurs or a whip. She can get a little nippy around children that are unaccustomed to the way of dealing with a horse, but every horse has their problems, right? She's fairly easy-going with other horses, and even though she is often turned out with a "herd", often she'll ignore them and graze on their outskirts.
History: Maddy was bought at the age of six from a ranch a good hundred miles from Cottonwood. She had always been as relaxed and lazy, even from a young age, but that disposition didn't exactly suit her old owners, so she was sold to a dressage trainer at Cottonwood. She easily had the intelligence and the natural movement to make a formidable competitor, but, there was a problem. By the time that Maddy had been trained through Introductory, Training, and the First level, she was already ten years old, putting her much behind the other horses that had already entered the Intermediate levels a few years before her. Even so, the mare worked her hardest with that trainer that she had been bought by, and was able to meet her limit at the Third Level of dressage.
After she had been finished to top physical condition, and she had won her fair share of ribbons from various rated dressage competitions, she was semi-retired to a lesson horse position. Her quiet personality and willingness to stand and wait for inexperienced beginning riders made her actually ideal for the job. She's a favorite among the beginners but gets to be a bit of a pain to get moving for the more experienced lesson-takers. Now, everyone is a bit upset to see this mare leave, but as long as she goes to a fantastic home and Cottonwood will be fixed, they'll always remember Maddy as the sleepy-eyed mare that could wait for hours on end without budging an inch.
Other: I have a really good feeling that this mare is going to turn out beautifully c:
dahyun. and I are siblings, I am giving what is left of this account to her ^^;;

this life is so simple yet so complicated...
that it makes people want to leave this earth.
with their bodies as our only remainder and our
memories a broken mirror of the past.
i know you don't remember... but this,
this place, this riverbank, this broken memory.
this is one of the pieces of you that you miss.
this is my broken bliss.
your name is etched into me.
i am your walking tribute.

Show Name: Darkest Before Dawn
Barn Name: Dawn
Age: 10 years
Gender: Mare
Breed: Paso Fino
Height: 15.2 hh
Color: Unknown (will be revealed)
Personality: Dawn is quite. She normally stays to herself and a just a few other horses. She can be pretty clever and brave at times though. She is very sweet to.
History: Dawn was born and raised at a ranch about a half an hour away from Cottonwood. She enjoyed it there. It wasn't a big fancy ranch. They got feed and cared for and each pasture had a little barn for the horses in that pasture to share. Not many of the horses had a discipline, and most were only partially trained. They were always kind to visitors and the work hands. They knew basic commands, but they could be a bit hyper and didn't like to be handled to much. The ranch just didn't have enough money. One day, a waterline pipe burst. The ground turned to mud. Dawn had to trek just to get across her pasture. The mud was up to her knees. She fell into the little pond, now mud, that went up to her back. The work hands finally got all the horses out of the ranch and took them to the spare pasture across the street. None of the horses or staff was hurt. However, everyone was covered in mud and slop. Dawn even stumbled into some grease leaking from a truck. The ranch staff looked devastated. They would have to give 4 horses to another ranch. They could barely afford their current horses, but now they had to fix the pipe and the land. They decided to give the four horses to Cottonwood Ranch. They gave 2 stallions and 2 mares. Dawn was one of them. She just arrived at Cottonwood. We are currently cleaning all that mud off her.

Show Name: Wisdom of Athena
Barn Name: Athena
Age: (She is middle-aged) 11
Gender: Mare
Breed: Paso Fino
Height: 14.9 hh
Color: Unknown (will be revealed)
Personality: A slow-going, easy mare, Athena is perfect for new riders. She is motherly and caring, but it is rather hard to truly work your way into her heart. Once you do, however, she will protect you to no end.
History: Athena was born to an old mare in a young family, and taught the three children of the family to ride. The last had graduated from her to a show jumper, so her family sold her. Just before taking her to her new home, Athena's owner backed the trailer into the muck heap, spraying her and some other horses with the disgusting waste.
Other: Thanks!

Show Name: Sugar n Spice
Barn Name: Spice
Age: 9
Gender: Mare
Breed: Paso Fino
Height: 14h
Color: Unknown (will be revealed)
Personality: Her show name is very fitting for her personality. Spice is often a little bit of a wild woman. She will listen to her rider if she wants to and some days she just chooses not to. Most people who ride her find her to be a big pain and she has earned the nickname " Sass Queen". She often sasses at the other horses to, even though she is pretty short, she still nips the big horses!
History:
Spice was the smallest of all the foals born at the farm. They all pushed her around and some even ignored her. When Spice was a year old she decided this had to change. The next time the famer through the hay in she shoved herself to the front. The other bigger foals attempted to push her back but she bit one of them! The horses stared in shock and stopped trying to push her. The next time the foals had a competition to see who could jump the highest, Spice came over and entered it. Through sheer determination Spice managed to jump the highest and slowly she gained the others respect.
At two years old Spice was sold to a man who trained horses in a very cruel way. He had broken many a horses spirit bit not Spice. Even with everything he did to her she never stopped fighting. One day the man had enough of Spice and beat her badly. As Spoce lay in the stall, unable to stand, she thought of how she was letting him rule over her. No longer would that happen. When Spice was heeled enough, he took her out and thinking he had broken her, shoved a harsh bit in her moth. Spice let him and stood there patiently, with a smirk the man put on the saddle. Not so feisty now was she! He thought triumphantly, untying her from the post and lifting up into the saddle. The second he hit the saddle Spice went ballistic, bucking, rearing and swerving about. The man sawed on the reins viciously but Spice would not be beaten this time. She bucked hard enough to send him flying over her head, h elnaded in the dirt with a shocked look. He stood and went after the horse but she simply dodged away, so he went to the gate and swing it open, intent on getting the gun. As soon as the gate was open Spice raced past him and up the driveway ad up to the road. The rescue got a call about a horse wandering about and found the poor girl wandering the roads. She had to get stitches in her mouth were the nasty bit had cut her and a vet came and checked her other wounds. Spice has many scars now but on the inside she is I wounded, she as strong as before.
Spice stayed at the rescue for many years and has been ridden by some people, most just don't want to deal with her fiery nature. Sadly when theirs broke, Spice was in a very grassy paddock. She is not very happy that she was covered on muck and grass and that the people left her like that! Then they put her on a trailer and she ended up here, where she is already sassing her new horse pals.

Show Name: More than meets the eye
Barn Name: Iris
Age: 9 years
Gender: Mare
Breed: Paso Fino
Height: 15.2 hands
Color: Unknown (will be revealed)
Personality: Iris is a very calm and affection horse. She gets along very well with other horse and is very social. She doesn't like being alone and if she is she will whinny until another horse or human is there. Iris also isn't afraid to get dirty even if that means going through a deep puddle of mud to get to hay so be it. That being said she doesn't really care about her image not matter how sloppy or dirty she looks.
History: Iris was born on the same ranch that the pipe burst on. As a foal she was always playing with other foals causing her to get dirty. She never minded this. Even as she got older she was always was around horse playing or just grazing with them she always wanted to be around horse. Even if it was just a horse in stall across from her. When she was old enough to train they trained her in cross country, due to calm nature and that she isn't afraid to get dirty. She excelled in cross country, her younger years were spent in and out of cross country competitions. Though it was hectic she enjoyed it. That part of her life ended at 9 when they retired her. After that point they had only used her for trail riding. Iris didn't really care all it meant to her was that she could caught up with her friends out in the fields. A month after her retirement the pipe burst which for Iris wasn't all that bad. Her cross country years made wading in a large puddle of mud rather easy. Though at the cost of her being covered head to tail in mud which once again all that bad for her. It was only a few days before Cottonwood Ranch staff came and took the horses in the fields. For her it was the worst part of the whole thing she was in a trailer for about a hour without any horses near by. She was overjoyed to finally be let out of the trailer to go and see horses and people again for what to her felt like days. The people started to clean the mud and oil off her as soon as they got in the building. Iris was perfectly fine with all the new people for her was just happy to not be alone.
