It's that time again. Another Shian "freebie". =u= This time based off of snow bell and lily of the valley.

This Shian egg landed in the northern lands just as their winter was ending. Patches of tiny white flowers popped up from the snow shaped like bells. When the wind blows, they look like they are shaking from laughter. You can almost hear their jingling laugh. The egg rolled into a small meadow covered with them. There it slept for the next 100 years. 100 winters came and past; snowy white bells, without fail, laughed in the breeze.

This picture reminds me of winter becoming spring because the swan reminds me of all the animals born in spring and all those little rodent that crawl out of hibernation- but the snow behind it reminds me of winter, all that slushy, cold, wet snow getting into your shoes~

The first thing that came to my mind is birds. Even if there's still snow on the ground, the sound of birds singing outside my window reminds me that spring is coming, and I don't need to suffer through the winter much longer. It is definitely my favorite part about spring!

This needs a little bit of explaining, so I hope that's okay^^
Basically, elk are a huge part of my life. I think that they are one of the most beautiful species in the world, and they take my breath away every time I see one.
When I think of winter changing into spring, I think of the calving season for these beautiful animals, which generally happens from April-May. Gorgeous calves which make me count my blessings every time I see one.
Almost as beautiful as seeing newborns is seeing their mothers as they prepare to care for their future young. Cows (female elk) tend to separate themselves from their herds a couple weeks before birthing. They search to find the perfect place where they can introduce their baby to the world. Watching a cow search for her perfect little place is wonderful.
