Louie Masters // Male // 29 years
Image
Image
// 10 years prior to present day//
The air was dense with humidity, the rain from the previous days before having given the air a thick, almost tangible feeling to it. It was Louie's 19th birthday, though he spent it alone in a deserted field of barren earth. Summer was a time when plants flourished, the spring melting away the snow and making way for the buds of new life, but here nothing grew. Dust and long since dead grass were the only things that greeted his eye as he scanned the field.
Louie was not one to let things as they are, and thus he raised his head high and consecrated the power from his saber-like curled tail, forcing the ground to be fertile once again. A sweat began to break out onto his brow as the first shoots of grass sprung up and out of the ground, vibrant against the now dark and soft soil. He took pride in his work as he slowly released his hold on the earth bellow him. It wasn't much, but then again the strength of his powers would only grow with age. He had many years before him to learn and even more after that to use those powers.
"That was very impressive!"
Startled, Louie turned around quickly to face the sima who had spoken.
He was young, maybe less than ten years younger than him and around the age of nine or so. Still he hesitantly approached the beaming sima.
"Oh, you think so?" he said some-what sarcastically, though the sima replied with an eager nod.
"Absolutely! I can only control a little bit of water, so that was really cool."
His pride swelled.
"Cool, eh?" He muttered to himself while the sima impatiently shifted in front of him.
"Say, mister, what's your name? I'm Bracket Talbert."
The older sima looked at the youth - Bracket, as he was called - and smiled fondly.
"Name's Louie, kid."
"Louie..." Bracket murmured, testing the name on his tongue before nodding and smiling brightly.
"Alright Louie, let's be friends okay?"
Louie stared at Bracket silently for a moment before finding that his smile was infectious.
"...Yeah. Let's be friends."

// Present day //
The summer days the two spent together are long sense a memory. Summers for Louie are now spent alone, left to take care of other Sima's "problems." Well, maybe not take care of them, but leave the sima shaken at least. The job pays him well, and no one messes with Old Man Louie.
Today is his brithday.
He spends it alone.

Image
Image
Louie spends his summer days sleeping. He despises the summer heat and would much rather spend the days in his own thoughts than dealing with the heat. During the night he comes alive, busing himself with his clients or spending his time out in the darkness purifying the ground. He'd gotten better as using this power than the years prior, able to grow a full-sized tree in a few days instead of spending a whole month on one sapling.

When he was younger he would spend his summers with a sima named Bracket. The two would wander around their town and help out the citizens with odd things, or test each other with their magic. He always won of course, but he admired Bracket's determination.

Image
Image
It's hard to explain the enigma that is Louie. On the surface he is calm and collected, never satisfied no matter how hard a sima may try. He enjoys hearing about himself and encourages others to praise him every once in a while, faking modesty at times to gain more praise. Louie becomes angered easily, but he's a great actor and can hide his emotions easily under a smile. He has a weakness for mothers and small children, and will help them out whenever he can.

Image
Image
For Louie there are friends, and there are enemies. Nothing in between. Though he lacks quite a few friends, one he can recall clearly is Bracket.
He was the cheerful boy he had met when he was 19 years old, the two of them becoming friends soon after their meeting. Everything was easy when they were around each other but.... That changed quickly.
The grew apart, chasing after two completely different ways of life. They could no longer hold their friendship, and thus they never spoke to one another again. Hate would never exist between the two - they still had their bond which held them together in their hearts - but their lives would not be better together.

Image
Image
Recently he's taken up the art of sewing. It's nothing fancy, but he likes to make blankets and cloaks the most. He's even sold a few of his creations and plans on doing more of his craft in the future.

Image
Image
He was born 29 years ago, in a small village near the coast of an ocean. Louie grew up without knowing his father, though that didn't stop him from living life happily as a child. His mother worked quite hard to feed him, and in return he did everything in his power to make sure she was taken care of when he was older as well. Even now he take care of her by sending her parts of his own pay check to help her pay for whatever things she needs.
He met Bracket soon after he left his childhood home, the two of them finding comfort in one another for a few years before parting ways on the agreement that they would "find each other when the time is right." That time has yet to come, and Louie is doubtful it ever will.
In present day he works as a sort of "hit man", paid the threaten others and force them into submission. He does not kill, and he refuses ever offer which hints of such a deed. He may be cruel, but not enough to kill. He makes good money from this however, and lives a lavish life alone, currently.

I was once sweet, new, and kind. I once believed in fairy-tails. But now, I can taste hate, and sorrow. I shall never forget what you did to me. Sweet, sweet lover.

Mouse.
Gender:
female.
Summer Story:
Mouse giggled, following King through the bramble, both of them getting various cuts from it. But their joy forbade them of feeling hurt or anger. Mouse and King found the spot they had hoped for, the spot King had set up their picnic. The spot underneath the weeping willow, where they had met before she loved him, and when they couldn't stand the sight of the other.

The day was in the summer, hot wind was blowing and Mouse had gone to seek refuge in her favorite place, underneath the tree. The Willow, which she had named William, Will for short. Will, was a particularly old tree, his branches dropped creating a green canvas of a sort. Small dabs of sunlight peeked through the leaves, blowing in the gentle air, creating a disco-ball look.

Mouse had always loved it there, her mother took her there before... Well... She had died. Her Mother hadn't died really, but her love for her daughter had faded when she had a miscarriage. Her mother, was now an empty shell. Empty to her daughters needs. So Mouse found refuge under the tree, it was her home away from home.

Kiwi.
Image
Azul- Spanish for 'blue'
He is also known as 'blu' and 'Az' by friends.
His beautiful blue markings reminded me of this name.

Image
Male.
Image
Azul has many personalities, some good, some bad, like everyone else. He is normally positive, curious, and highly adventurous. He loves exploring and finding new friends and hobbies. Sometimes he gets distracted and carried-away, but normally he is quite good at focusing. Sometimes he can be angry, and blocks out the people around him, mostly because of the memories from his childhood. Az is very intelligent, and social. He is eager to make more friends, and make the best of his life.
Image
Azul enjoys a large number of outdoor, and also indoor activities. Most of the time, he explores the woods. He also enjoys swimming, drawing, and running. When the weather is bad, or Blu just doesn't want to do out, he will pick up a good book and read almost all day. He highly enjoys stone stacking, sea glass collecting, and bird watching. Az has a huge love for nature, and most of his hobbies take place in the great outdoors!
Image
"Come on Taz, we're almost there!" Azul slowed his pace, letting his friend catch up. "Blu, are you sure we are going the right way?" Taz asked with concern in his eyes. Blu looked around at the Pine and Maple trees surrounding him, "Yes, it's just east of the stream we just crossed" he replied with a reassuring nod. Az could clearly see that his friend wasn't as thrilled about the adventure as he was. "Oh and see that tree," Azul pointed his snout up, "that's Great Oak, known to be the tallest tree in the forest. Anyways, I see it every time I go to Midnight Falls."Trust me," he spoke before picking up his pace again. The thorns and prickles had been cutting through the shorter hair on Blu's legs, but he didn't mind or notice until he stopped, when they reached a small stream, too large to jump, and too deep to just walk. "Well, the stream is higher than normal, gonna have to swim it." He looked back at Taz who looked nervous. Az dipped one paw into the stream, "Well, at least it's warm, normally this stream is bitter cold," Blu put both paws in the water, pressed his stomach on the edge of the ground, and used his back feet to boost him into the water.

The stream was not as deep as he thought, and his paws lightly skimmed the bottom of the stream. Azul paddled upward with his front paws. When his head broke the surface, he saw that he was lightly being carried down stream. Blu was much stronger than the waterway, so he swam slowly over towards the edge, were he hopped on the soft grass. "Simple little swim," he said with a grin, breathing slightly heavy, and shaking the droplets from his thick blue and brown fur. "Your turn Taz!" Taz looked cautiously down at the water, "I-umm.. I'm not too good at swimming" he said quietly looking at his friend. "It's super easy. This stream is only about 4 feet deep. And about 5 feet across." Taz nodded and practically belly-flopped into the water. Moments later his snout was above the water, and he doggy paddled over to the edge. Taz's paws scrabbled on the wet mud as Azul snickered, watching his friend fumble on the mud. Finally Taz got a firm grip on a drier patch of grass and dirt. Az realized his friend was much more tired from the tiny swim than he was, so they took a small break next to some bushes.

Azul looked at the plants near the river, and was almost sure he was seeing something bright. "Hey Taz! Look over here" he said walking over to the bush. "Black berries" Taz exclaimed, reconizing the bushes red, purple, and green berries. "Ehh.. looks like only the bottom berries are ripe" Blu said, inspecting the large berries. "And they are covered in dirt too" Taz included, "Lets just wash them, in the stream" Taz replied to his own statement, with a mouth full of purple/black berries. Blu followed his friend a few steps from the bush to the side of the stream. Az placed his snout in the water, parting his jaws, and let the water sweep the dirt from the berries. His friend did the same, and they both went back to the patch of dry grass, were they ate the plump, delicious, and juicy berries, before moving on.

"Taz! Do you here that? It's the water! The falls!" Azul screeched in excitement. Both Simas had walked about a mile after there quick meal. "Come on, lets speed up" Blu spoke to his friend. We want to get there and back before it gets too dark!" Az said, speeding his pace to a sprint. About 10 minutes later, both friends raced out of the tree line, to see a small hill with soft, short grass. "It's right over this hill Taz" Az said with an inpatient voice. Az would have liked to move faster through the meadow, but he knew Taz didn't have as much stamina as himself. After one short minute of slowly walking, both friends reached the highest point of the hill. "Woah..." Taz spoke quietly under his breath, as he gazed at the many small and big waterfalls joining together in the lake below. "Awesome right?! This is Midnight Falls!" Taz looked at his friend with huge eyes, "Ummm... Ya it's awesome! I wish I would have come here sooner! This is so amazing!" Az looked around before asking his pal, "Want to go down there? You are not supposed to go in the water, but legends say if you drink from the lake, you will have good luck for ever!" Taz was already running down the slope with Blu behind him. Both friends skidded to a halt, realizing how slippery the sand was. Azul walked forward, sticking his mouth into the cold lake, drinking a small around of the refreshing water. Taz did the same, and both friends decided to head back. While walking up the hill, Taz asked, "Hey Az, say umm.. I have a lake called Infinite Lake behind my house a few miles back, do you wanna go tomorrow? Blu replied with a huge grin, "Yes! Why wouldn't I?!"
