Reasoning: A cay is an area of sand supported by a bed of coral under the sea. This name spoke to me for a few reasons. First of all, cays appear to be tropical islands in the middle of a clear ocean. However, they are more than just a pretty face. Cays are known to cause shipwrecks when sailors get to close, thinking it is just an island, and get caught on the coral. However, cays also provide support to those lost at sea, due to easier fishing off the shore. This would be representative of this equid's personality- beautiful, yet dangerous to come and supportive to others. Secondly, I could choose this name based off a book I remember from when I was younger, called The Cay. It was about a boy and an older man who get shipwrecked on a cay after a submarine attack. The man, in an act of selfless devotion, sacrificed his life to give the boy a small chance at life. This too would be part of this equid's personality- completely selfless.

Reasoning: I don't have some deep reason for giving him this name. I saw him, and Castamere was the first name that came to mind. Of course I've been reading and watching a lot of Game of Thrones recently, so that's probably why. However, the name strikes me as proud and willful, and in the Game of Thrones series, it is associated with the Lannisters. While this family is portrayed as the bad guys, they are an undeniably proud group of people. A stallion this pretty would definitely be proud and wilful, so to me, the name is fitting.

Reasoning: The name "Muraco" means white moon in American Indian, a language and society I am rather fascinated by. I heard this name a while ago and had to write it down, because I knew that one day I would find a character that it would suit, because I just loved it so much. Since then I've been scouting for possibilities without finding one, until this boy came along. He does in fact remind me of the moon in the way that his coat shines, as if it is being touched by the moonlight. I imagine him being adored and admired by everyone, but unreachable, as the moon is.
