WHAT IS A MAKOATL?

A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered off the coast of the greenland sea. They have the powerful tail and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon. They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat. They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they are very protective and mothering to their offspring, as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Why doesn't she like her whiskers?: When she was little the other pups would tease her about them and pull them. She absolutely hated them and still dislikes them to this day.

Why does or doesn't she like her whiskers?:

Forest doesn't like her whiskers because when she sleeps, sometimes she would dribble and it would always catch onto her whiskers. Her whiskers also catch water when it rains, and they get damp and it annoys her very much.

Why does or doesn't she like her whiskers?:
Because they remind people of a mouse! Some people find it a bit ironic that she has the coat of a tabby cat but the personality of a mouse, and the whiskers sort of amplify this. They make her look timid and docile, instead of the fierce huntress she's supposed to be. It's irritating for her to be prejudged and teased for her whiskers, and even though she has the courage of a dormouse, she doesn't like to be judged just by her appearance.

I know, sort of an odd reason, but when I first saw her I thought of a sweet little mousing cat. And then a mouse.

✎ Chaise believes her whiskers serve her quite well, and she enjoys their placement on her furry muzzle immensely . Chaise is smaller than most other makos, only reaching to most shoulderblades. Due to her small stature, she tends to be more dependent, and she has a tendency to rely on other makos for her well-being. Since she spends so much time with others, cuddling, snuggling, and nuzzling often comes into play. In an almost childlike fashion she brushes her whiskers against others, tickling them lightly, adding giggles and comfort to others in her life. It's her way of expressing her care outwardly. Chaise enjoys her whiskers for numerous purposes, including overall appearance, but they mainly function as a unique factor to the way she charms her way to others hearts.

Why does or doesn't she like her whiskers?:
When April squeezes it small and tight spots her whiskers fold in closer to her face, as this happens they continuously tickle her face and she absolutely hates being tickled! It gets even worse when they cannot get any closer to her face.
