My name is Sai. When I was born almost 200 years ago off the coast of Svalbard, my very traditional makoatl parents probably never imagined that their son would end up working as a geisha in Japan. But I always knew that there was something about their lifestyle that didn't suit me. Even as a toddler, I craved something different. Swimming around all day, praying on less intelligent animals, avoiding hunters... It was more surviving than living. I had been born into the wrong family. Perhaps swapped at birth with a baby that belonged to some other, more exciting and understanding makoatl parents. I found myself the fateful day my family took a vacation to Japan. I think initially it was the graceful, purposeful movements of those pale, dainty geisha in gorgeous kimono as they danced with their paper fans before an amazed audience. To a child who had known nothing but his father's encouragement of bloodshed, it seemed like a world of fantasy and whimsy. It wasn't just me, a sheltered kid, who was in awe. All eyes were on them - the men looked upon them with desire and the women looked upon them with admiration. They were beauty personified. I wanted to be just like them...

Hello I am ~Soul~, I am a non-owner
and have yet to get my own Mako
Name: Asahi
Asahi means "Rising sun" In Japaneses.
I felt that for a Japanese styles Mako
it would be appropriate to give her a
name. The Japanese Flag is ment to
represent the sun.
Gender: Female
I find this Mako to be rather feminine
in many ways, though I can see people
thinking this can be a male I feel she
is more fitting as a lady
Zodiac: Gemini
Asahi was born on June 1. Her
element is air and is is
represented in her green eyes
( earth is usually brown ).

“You only live once,

"Hello, if I may I would like to introduce my self. I am Asahi." The white Mako said as she gave a soft and gentle bow. " I am a rather smart young lady who loves to spend her time with book and enjoy a great deal watching, reading and drawing anime. Though I love the tradition of Japan, I also embarrass the pop culture that has developed over the years. I do enjoy going to museums and gallery as also going to parties, but if I where to pick between the two I would rather party. I love the night life and I am always ready to have a good time and even Host my own party as well. I would rather spend time with other Mako's then sit alone, and the only time I can sit for long amount of time is when I am reading. You can say that I tend to have a very high energy and need to take walks or get out to help whine down at times. But the best time of year is New Years. There are tone of parties, both before and after new years. I love to host a New year's Eve party for all my friends and go to someone else on New years. My Biggest wish to to receive a new years kiss'' She said with a playful wink and giggled before waving and heading off

but if you do it right, once is enough.”

You want to know about the odd little things about me?
Well what makes me stand out the most is the fact that
I love to cos play and you never know who i will end up
being and what I will dress up in. I love dressing up in
cute outfits and wearing pink as well! I also wish I
had my own hand held persacom. Not the full sized
ones for the mini ones, Those are so cute! If you
don't know what a Persacom in need to watch chobits.
they are like a computer and a phone all in one and
they all act and talk like people as well!

Image
~ I love to eat all types of noodles and adores the ones that are rather fancy and take a lot of fuse to make. I love all sorts of flavors and love when sweet and spice come together to send my taste buds on a wild roller coaster. I am a big food lover and also love Ramune too! That is a sort of Japanese soda and peach is my all time fav flavor.
~ I am also a huge fan of fan tricks. I love to play with them and do little tricks, though they are parlor tricks but its fun none the less. I only own two fans. They are both white with cherry blossoms across them. I likes to flip them and again its only little tricks and nothing to fancy. I find it fun and she likes to do it when she is lost in thought or reading.

Image
~ I am not very great at math, I hate math and I about beat my brains out if I had to sit throw a math class. I am rather sure no one likes math but I think i hate it the most. Any kinda of math that is harder then simple adding and measuring is pointless to know unless its for a profession that I may some crazy way desire to jump into like architecture. But I am not about to do something like that.
~ Now another thing I don't care for at all is being teased for cosplaying, just because I like dressing up like other characters and acting like them doesn't mean I am not my own person. I like myself the way I am so there is no need to make fun of me.

        name ●
              Erika Tanaka
        gender ●
              Female

Image

        personality ●
Erika was raised under traditional Japanese ruling. She learned to be proper and polite. She grew up listening to geisha music, and dreamed of dancing on a stage. She is happy-go-lucky, meaning she's usually happy, and can't be brought down easily. She does get a little careless when she's too excited though. Though she's very happy, she is extremely self-conscious about her looks, and constantly fixes her hair, and checks her charms to make sure they're in place. She is very dominant, taking control of a situation when others are confused or led in the wrong direction. She hates being talked down to, and prefers to be the one in charge. Though this all makes up her personality, she is slightly introverted, and waits for someone to talk to her before she talks to them, this being she doesn't have many 'friends', though she does enjoy her alone time.

Image

        interesting facts ●
              - she's nearly fulfilled her dream of becoming a geisha
              - she is fluent in Japanese
              - she has trouble pronouncing many English words
              - her laugh is more of a small grin with a little huff
              - she enjoys classical music more than others
              - she doesn't play any sports
              - she wasn't allowed to use electronics, but the only time she got to use them was at her friend's house, who let her watch many recording of geisha shows
              - she is pansexual, though she falls for males a little more than girls
              - she reads Japanese novels, and has no plans on reading a manga or watching an anime, though she does embrace this part of the Japanese culture and respects it
              - her home's flooring is tatami mats, and her guests that aren't familiar with Japan are often confused when she asks them to remove their shoes
              - she leaves her kotatsu out year round because she lives in a cold part of America
              - her favorite sushi is ebi with a little soy sauce
              - she's been told she's not a great cook
              - she usually wears American style clothing so she doesn't stick out, though she owns two yukatas, a kimono, and a happi

Image

        story ●
A young Makoatl pushed her way through the crowd, eager to reach the stage. She left out a few huffs as she struggled to weave through the adults. She pushed her fluffy bangs out of her eyes as she looked for another path. Seeing the stage's lights in sight, and ran towards, a near straight path to the front. Her eyes glistened with joy, as she was about to see her first geisha performance. Skidding to a stop, and hitting her front paws against the stage, she looked up, seeing the dancers taking their places. The young Mako's grin was wide, the joy she felt was near unbearable. The song started, and the geisha in front began the dance, soon followed by the rest of the group. The dance went on for a few minutes before stopping to take new places. The young Mako was shaking with excitement, this close to the stage, this close to the ones she looked up to, this close to her dream. Her eyes squeezed shut, and she buried her chin in her chest fur. This was it, this was her decision to pursue such a wonderful life of dancing and music. "I'll be up there someday too." She whispered to herself, looking back up to the dancers.

"You cannot leave! You have a daughter, a young one at that, who has to have some sort of father figure in her life! I won't allow it, and that's final!"

"I'll do what I have to, daughter or not, I will fight for the safety of our country. The general has ordered me to go, and that is what I will do. I will not disappoint him."

"What about your FAMILY? Your whole entire life you have been wanting to start a family, and now you want to throw all of that away?"

"I know what I have said in the past. Things change, and so do we. I have already said this a dozen times, and I made myself clear. I am going to fight in the war."

I was in my room when I heard the news across the hall, coming from the kitchen. I heard every word, and my eyes filled with tears. How could he leave us like this? I didn't want him to leave. I heard the clanging of armor and an angry voice as well as a dull one. There was nothing I could do, but watch. With that thought in my mind, I burst through the door and squealed. Ambushing him and hugging his armored leg, I exclaimed:

"No! I don't want you to go! You don't have to! What about me and mommy? Don't you care? Daddy please, stay with us! You're the only Mako I know with a heart as big as mommy's! Don't, please." I sobbed loudly. My mother and father exchanged looks, and finally, my father said quietly,

"I wish I could, but I have a commitment that I need to fulfill. Don't worry, I'll come back, but even if I don't, I want you to have this." He then walked toward the back of the hall and came back with a box in his mouth, engraved with dragons rearing up a nd ferocious looking on each side. It looked almost as if he was really going to fight. Plates of hard metal gripped his legs, and an exoskeleton of armor covered his back. He opened the box, and inside was a gorgeous hair piece. A red flower with green leaves attached to it, and three thin silver chains dangling down from the piece. All was made of metal and every detail was defined. I looked at the gift, my lime green eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"When did you get this?" My mother asked.

"I made it, months before you became pregnant. I knew we were going to have a daughter, so I made it beforehand."

"Is this for me?" I inquired.

"Yes, it's for you. Go ahead, try it on," my father said. Careful not to damage the art, I placed it in my black mane and tried to look at it, though it was in my peripheral vision. Across the room, I spotted a mirror, and rushed to it. I stood on my hind legs and stared at my reflection. The flower complimented me, and brought out the color in my eyes, which were already bright. My parents walked over, and admired it. "It looks beautiful, daddy," I said, looking back thoughtfully and smiling. "Glad you like it," he replied. I could see my parents beaming faces in the mirror, and missed my father even more. "I will have to go soon," he said, turning his head towards my mother. She sadly accepted, and I watched my mother longingly stare at my father. I broke my gaze from the mirror, and whipped around.

"Wait, daddy!" I exclaimed, running towards him. I stared at him, my eyes filling up with tears again. "I don't want you to fight."

"Listen, my daughter. When we fight, we fight for others, not ourselves. We fight for Makos who cannot fight for themselves. We fight because we want peace, not more violence. Some may die for peace, others go to long distances to help others. Do you know why we named you Pīsumēkā?" He asked. I shook my head.

"We named you this because when you were little, and me and your mother used to fight, you would come rushing out of your room and stand in between us to make us stop fighting. You were, in a way, our little peace maker. It worked, and this is what we fight for, peace. Do you understand?" He asked.

"Yes, daddy, I understand." I spoke.

"Good, now I have to leave. The general is expecting me." He then rose his head, touched noses with my mother, and went out the door. Silent tears fell down my face in large drops, and I hugged my mother's leg, whinning sadly. That was the last time I saw my father, and before I grew my horns.

Years later:
Today was a very good day to spend time in my garden. The breeze was just right, the grass swaying gently in the warm wind, and the smell of Carnations filled the air. I crossed the stone bridge over a still pond, the koi fish swimming elegantly and giving off a glistening light. My garden was a short walk away, and I could already feel the earth softening as I got closer to my garden. Every thing was blooming, and the sun was beaming down soft rays of light. Before I could get any closer, a voice rang out to me. "Excuse me, miss? I have a letter for you!" The voice called breathlessly. He shoved the envelope under my nose, and waddled off before I could thank him. I opened the letter right on the spot, and read:
"Dear Pīsumēkā and Zenreao,
I want to send my love out to you both and to thank you about how supportive you've both been. I am sadly not the one writing this letter, my fellow soldier is, I am sadly on my last leg of life. If you have gotten this letter already, then I have passed on to another life. Even though I'm weak, my heart isn't. I love you both. To My dearest wife, I hope you can forgive me for all that I've done. I know that I may have hurt you, but my intent was in good spirit. To My dearest Pīsumēkā, I will never forget those great times life where I have never felt happier to be your father. You will always be my little peacemaker.
With love, Deadon.

Teardrops stained the paper as I read the last line. I rushed inside, calling for my mother. Wild eyed, she popped her head out the doorframe from her room. I handed her the letter, and watched her read it. Looking up, she said, "He lived a very good life. Even though he passed, he was still a father and a warrior." With that, she hugged me for a very long time.

I was wanting to request one too but was afraid it wouldn't be a well-received request. I ordered a lot of expensive art that hasn't been completed yet even though I told the artist the deadline. So if there was an extension maybe the art would be sent to me in time ;-;
