Auntie Chai (also called "Aunt Tea Chai" by her nephews and nieces, which she swears she will tan their hides for one day) is a tough old Indian deerssert who lives up in the mountains. She's the kind of girl who wouldn't let her kids touch anything "icky" with their bare hooves, knows every amazing story this world has to offer, and cheerfully protects her family, friends, and just nice passerby with her tough, hard, head.
Auntie Chai knows all of the teas in the world, and has traveled far and learned much to grow many of them herself. Those she doesn't grow, she imports - and she's more than happy to share all of her tea with any visitor. Her teas are a dessert, a cure for any ailment, a relaxing drink, a companion to any meal - she knows all of their uses. Her favorites are, of course, green teas. Bitter or sweet, cold or hot, they all stock her teacup at some point in the day.
Kids, from her closest relatives, to those merely she babysits from the community at the base of the mountain, love and fear her in equal measure. She lives high up on the mountain where it's cold; she loves the pure air and it grows her tea bushes better. She's known as the Coolest Aunt Ever: she knows the most incredible stories, she's kick butt, and she can teach you almost
anything. But she's also the medicine woman - all of the young deer fear her to the tips of her hooves for her remedies - they whisper to never go near her house when you're sick, or else.
