WHAT IS A MAKOATL?

A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered off the coast of the greenland sea. They have the powerful tail and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon. They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat. They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they are very protective and mothering to their offspring, as well as to each other the majority of the time.

ATTENTION, ATTENTION:

Anyone can use my deep sea dude, Callimaco, in their forms!
Whether in art, writing, story, etc. HOWEVER. You must keep
him in character if you do! He's painfully shy and not very easy
to get to know, because he believes himself to be a monster,
so keep that in mind! Don't make him all happy and derpy and in
complete and utter love and confidence with this guy/gal, #33~!
But, feel free to use him to elaborate stories, trick or treating tales,
or anything else you'd like, within reason and appropriaty!

ＳＴＯＲＹ
On a cold, October night.
Two young Makoatl's dressed up for Halloween,
entered a spooky place.
Vladimir and Callimaco.
Both set off on a adventure,
of course Vladimir was ready to go somewhere new,
and spooky.
While Callimaco had his regrets and fears for it.
Shy around Vladimir, and very quite.

The couple entered the house,
cobwebs were in the drafters
and corners of the wooded ceiling.
Spiders hanging down, attacking their fly prey.
The creaks and spooks, the noises that once filled this house.
Now gone silent.
Tale told it was haunted,
but pft. Who would believe that?
The two young Makos walked alongside of each other.
"So Callimaco, what do you thinks around here?
Rotting bodies, mummies, mutants, vampires, and ghosts!?"
Vladimir laughed in a mocking tone.
Callimaco, the silent type shrugged. "I dunno,"
he said in a whispered like tone.

They walked deeper into the house,
as lightning struck outside, and a storm blew in.
Vladimir laughed.
"Oh man, not a spooky storm!" he chuckled.
Callimaco stared at him, in silence and blinked a few times.
As they continued to walk.

They explored every inch of the house.
Finding nothing but spiders, bats, and a few creaky boards.

Vladimir, disappointed and a bit agitated now.
"Wasted this whole Halloween night, for a rip off haunted house,"
He growled to himself.

When Callimaco stepped back, quite and reserved...
But his eyes, oh they told of fear and horror.
He jumped back and stood behind.
A shadow stood behind his friend.
Vladimir growled lunging at the shadow but fell through it.
Gasping, on the floor in fear.

They both took off running out of the house.
in fear.
What a terrible place.
They both were out of breathe,
and went home to trick or treat the rest of the night.

Halloween-related story;;

The water was colder than usual... and darker too. It was Halloween night and I was ready to go out and have some fun. It isn't everyday that I can go up to the surface and be with all the other Mako's without scaring them to death. I am a deep sea Mako and the others don't understand. I'm friendly, but my looks scare everyone off. Anyway! I was at the top of the abyss. I peaked my head out and looked around, I saw a few pups all dressed up in costumes and grinned. I quietly swam up behind them then yelled "BOO!" they all let out a high pitched shriek and scrambled backwards. All of them except the littlest of the pups, it walked up to me and smiled, its tail wagged happily "I like your costume miss!" she said with a sweet little voice. I smiled "why thank you" I said as I gently patted her head. The others finally got up there courage and swam up to me, crowding around. "I should get going, but have fun trick or treating!" I say as I swim off, waving at the little guys. They all waved good bye as I swam away.

I know that I’m too old for trick or treating, but it’s just so much fun. I quickly make my way back to the abyss to get my trick or treating bag and then I catch a glimpse of something moving down there. "Callimaco, that you?" i ask quietly, my voice a little shaky. His head popped up and he blinked "y-yeah.." I let out a sigh of relief then smiled as I got a great idea "you should come with me! and trick or treat!" chimed my voice as I swam down to him. He backed up a bit "n-no... I'm f-fine down here..." he said quietly. I huffed then grabbed him by his tail "cmun, itlll beeh good fur ya" I mumble as i drag him out of him hiding spot.

halloween-related story;;

Halloween, a night of spooks, scares, and sweets. Costumed figures run amok, trying to see who will pull the most terrifying pranks and tricks, or searching for candy in the homes of others. The day when evil spirits run from their hidden homes and join the living in festival. The ocean, no doubt, does the same. On this night, creatures of the deep emerge from their homes, the scariest and the exotic ones are complimented, seeing how well they fit the day.Younger creatures explore caves left by many, and head into the more dangerous parts of the ocean, only to be corralled by their parents. Of course, their parents have good reason to do so, for the deep, dark waters of the sea are definitely something to keep your children out of.
"Hurry up, Callimaco, there's absolutely no time waste. This is the only night we can come out without everyone freaking out!"
"N-No! I don't want to! D-Don't you think there's something better we can do, Jezebel?"
"Don't call me that! It's Jacky."

Two makos, both from the deep-sea, lit up their path to the shallower waters. The waters were dark, it having been night-time. The only light in the area was the light from their own lanterns, illuminating the space in front of them. One was dressed in a witch doctor costume, well, the closest thing you could get to it underwater. A large skull adorned with with seaglass and shells. Seaweed floated from the headdress, and blue eyes sparkled from underneath it. Two antennae, reminiscent to two jack-o-lanterns, stuck out from the headdress. Other shells and underwater plants dangled from her, along with various accessories. Jezebel, or Jacky, as she called herself, loved this day, and wouldn't miss it for the world. On the other hand, Callimaco, a friend, had flinched away a her sudden shout. He had opted out from the costume idea, as well as the whole halloween idea. He didn't want to leave, but Jezebel had dragged him out anyways. Yes, their relationship was interesting. Jezebel poked fun and messed with Callimaco, but really, she made she was there was no way anyone else was allowed to do so. She never meant her insults, and if she had really hurt him, Jezebel would apologize.

Regardless, they swam on. The water barely turned lighter, and the presence of others was becoming more evident. Swimming shapes, each with their own source of light, wandered the reef. It was a fantastical sight, makos decorated in costumes, dressed to impress, playing games, and searching for treats. Jezebel was fascinated, looking at everyone's costumes in delight. It was amazing to her, how creative the makos could be with their limited resources. She turned to Callimaco, about to share something, but found him to be hiding away behind the reef, shaking his head. His asterisk eyes looked afraid, and Jezebel sighed, swimming over. "Are you alright, Calli?" She had a somewhat annoyed look, but she wasn't upset with him. She knew he hated to be around others, but every once in a while, she tried to pull him out into the open waters. He looked nervous, almost terrified. She sighed, expecting this to be the issue. "Fine, fine. We'll go back down." She started to swim away, looking back only once to see Callimaco, head turned away in shame, for hindering his friends wish to haunt and spook the residents of the ocean. Jezebel stopped, turning in a circle to face Callimaco. "Quit hiding behind that rock. I've got a better plan." Her face said "are you serious" but her eyes said "I understand". Jacky motioned with her head to Calli, and waited for him to slowly meet up with her.

"W-What are we going to do, then?"
"'I've got the perfect place for spooks. If you don't wanna hang around here, we can just keep to the deep."
With a wink, she dove off into the dark water once more, leaving a somewhat confused Callimaco to gather his bearings and speed after her. The water went from blue, to cobalt, to an almost pitch black space in no time. Here, the only lights that filled the water were the muted shines of their antennae, like underwater fireflies. Jezebel had a smile as she kept swimming, but Callimaco only got more and more nervous, not sure where they were going. He didn't know this part of the ocean, so how did Jezebel know? Soon, a shape appeared in the water, seeming as sturdy as rock, but with fluttering slices of something there. It was almost impossible to make out in the dark, but as they neared it, the shape grew bigger and more apparent. Jacky grinned, looking back at Callimaco, "We're here. The pirate ship."

The ship was magnificent, although worn through. Holes mottled the wooden sides, and old, tattered flags fluttered in the water like it was still sailing. Callimaco's gut dropped, this was strange, eerie, almost dangerous, but there was something about coming here on such a night that screamed "This is Halloween." Jezebel propelled herself one final time, and finally reached the ship, an aura of pride around her. "C'mon, Calamari. I'm dying of boredom here." Callimaco took this as a hint to hurry up, and soon, he reached the ship as well, but hovered at the entrance of the ship. Jezebel sighed, rolling her eyes. Swimming around behind him, she gave him a hard shove into the ship, sending him tumbling through. With a single crash, Callimaco let out a long groan, and sat up, only to see Jezebel swim in, still smiling. Callimaco felt something on his head, and Jacky nudged it lightly. Somehow, in his tumble, a pirate hat had found its way onto his head. Jezebel patted it, and Callimaco flinched.
"Hah, a pirate hat. Fits you, Captain Calamari."
