WHAT IS A MAKOATL?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Well, here is my first Makoatl as artist! X3
Hope you like!
What we have here is a poison dart frog inspired design.

☇ ɴᴀᴍᴇ;
Dane
"Hi, I'm Dane as in a Great Dane. You can call me that, if you'd like."
☇ ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ;
Male
"Haha, yes, I am a male. I certainly do not look like a female."
☇ ᴘᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ;
Dane is a funny, outgoing 13 year old boy who loves baseball. He is sweet and caring to everyone, and if you need a friend, Dane will always be there for you. Dane is always a ladies man, and he tries to impress them, even if it means twerking on a volleyball net (based off of personal experience). If you're feeling down, Dane will be there to cheer you up.
"Haha, yeah... that's me alright. I'm also generous and smart... at times."
☇ ғᴀᴠᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ʜᴏʙʙʏ;
Baseball
"Yes, yes, yes! I love baseball! I've been playing it ever since I was a little pup. My father introduced me to baseball when I was 3, and I've loved it ever since. Not to be full of myself or anything, but I'm pretty good. Best on the team."
☇ ʜɪsᴛᴏʀʏ;
Dane was born like every other Makoatl, but when his mother first saw that he was a boy, she wasn't very pleased. His father, on the other paw, was very happy. His mother and father argued for weeks on end, then it turned to months. It came to a decision to get a divorce. His mother have up Dane to his father, and he has lived with his father ever since. He father soon remarried when he was 3, and he's life has been fine since then.
"Yeah, I don't like talking about my last very much.."
☇ sʜᴏʀᴛ sᴛᴏʀʏ (ᴇxᴛʀᴀ);
"Well, I was about 3 when my father introduced me to baseball. I was playing other sports at the time, and I didn't even know what baseballs as until he showed me. He was sitting in the living room, watching the Chicago Cubs play against the Cincinnati Reds. I was in the kitchen with my mother, coloring a Sesame Street coloring book. All of a sudden, I heard a loud 'what' come from the living room and I wanted to see what the commotion was about. I waddled my way in there and came around the corner. My father was on his paws, his hands on his head. "Come on! That should've been a strike!" Cocking my head, I stared up at him. "Daddy, w-why are you mad? W-what are you doing?" My father laughed and picked me up and placed me on his lap. "Well see here son, I'm watching a baseball game and he umpire is not very good." I was confused. "Baseball? Umpire? Daddy, what's are you talking about?" My father chuckled. Placing me on floor, he got up and crawled over to the tv. "That is the umpire." he said, pointing at a Makoatl with a black and white striped shirt. "And this," he said, pointing at a round, white ball. "this is a baseball." I squinted my eyes, and saw it fly through the air. "Daddy!" I said with an excited squeal. "The ball is flying!" My father laughed. "No, not really. The player up to bat holds a wooden bat," he began, pointing at a long, wooden thing. "and the pitcher," he says, pointing at a Makoalt in a blue t-shirt. "throws the ball at the batter and the batter has to hit the ball." Listening closely, I watched the tv as the batter swung at the ball and the ball flew through the air. "Daddy, I wanna play baseball." I didn't look at my fathers face, but I could tell that he was very pleased and happy. "Alright son, we'll start tomorrow."
And that's when I was first introduced to baseball.

ᴀᴢᴜʀᴇᴜs
I have chosen to give him the name Azureus because of the inspiration for his design, the "blue poison dart frog" or Dendrobates Azureus. Not very original to use the Latin name, I know, however I quite like it. It sounds fairly exotic, and interesting (or at least to me), so I thought it might be fun. With azure meaning a shade of blue as well, I saw it as being quite fitting for such a lovely boy.I can't see him anything other than male x3
I do have a tendency to see characters as male, rather than female, which is the same in this case as in many before. The colours are quite masculine in my opinion, as well as the personality that I could see for him as soon as I started working on a form. The sly look added into the mixture, it was just meant to be.ρєяѕσηαℓιту ::
confident . charming . gentleman
Upon first your meeting, Azureus seems like every other guy trying to impress you. He'll lure you in with his smile and his charm, then hold you there, captivated, as he shows himself as the confident gentleman that you were looking for. Just that handsome stranger in a crowd of so many that you took a slight interest in, because of his unique appearance and way of carrying himself. As we're all biased if we really think about it. Confidence attracts us, no matter how risky such an act may be. It could threaten our lives, and yet we are still drawn to that which we do not possess ourselves. He plays on this fact, and creates this persona for you to follow. This is the opinion you make of him. A first impression is easy to fake, particularly for one experienced in such things, so for him it is child's play... For this impression of him is exactly what he wants you to believe, as what lays beneath the layers of charm and charisma, is that this handsome young Mako, is a con artist.
He survives on the misfortune of others, and deals out bad luck as if life were simply a game of cards. In a way, for him, it is. He sets up the game with great precision, making sure everything is fool-proof so he would not get caught in his lies, and then goes about choosing the players to get it started. They're weak individuals, while he is the strong force that he wants them to grip onto and hold tightly. For it's all a game of trust, and there is little point in trusting someone that appears vulnerable, is there? That doesn't seem like a secure investment of time and energy. But he plays his cards right and gets them to trust him, then he'll play them like a pack of cards, each just a stepping stone to get him higher and higher, while they (unaware) sink down lower, and lower, until they have nothing left. For he is the King in the pack, and while they may feel like an Ace when he lifts them up, they'll fall like a Deuce when he has finished his work - the very bottom of the pile. Not much use to anyone any more. This is precisely how he views others. They are much lower lifeforms than he believes he is, so in a way, he can be viewed as being quite narcissistic, despite the fact that he wouldn't really show it to anyone but himself. So it is not very well known.
In fact, he shares very little of himself with anyone, as he will play with the trust of others, but not deal out any of his own. But who could blame him? He knows how one can manipulate it... It is really a simple thing, so why should he put himself out there to have the same thing done to him? Or perhaps this is all just an excuse, and he simply does not wish to be the lion that lay with the lamb, exposing himself to be truly just like everyone else after all. Despite his obvious flaws, it can not be said that he is lazy, nor unintelligent. He may not live a life like most, but the way he makes his living is not in the least bit lazy. Illegal, yes, but lazy? It takes him a lot of work to set up each scheme, and create the perfect persona for it, as well as getting into the role and making it all believable. So he is highly intelligent, an excellent liar, and an award-winning actor. Though he would never be interested in the fame and glory like this, although in a way he does get a kick out of the infamy that his exploits have caused, it is the materialistic goods that he is after. For all his flaws, greed is the biggest. One of the deadly sins, he lives his life by it. Nothing is ever enough for him, he has to have more. This may one day be his downfall, but he will cross that bridge when he gets to it. There's little he can do to change the way he is, but maybe with the precision with which he works, he can pull it off until he can bite back his addiction and stop.
The change into what he has made himself into doesn't simply happen overnight. There are small signs, right from the beginning of life, just as there are with most personality traits, and many different events and their specific circumstances that creates it. In a way, it's really a masterpiece when it all comes together, no matter how different it may be to the norm. But despite the signs, his parents had no idea what he was going to turn out like, hence his name being to do with the colouration of his pelt, not his character, as really who knows what their kid is going to turn out like? Had they known... Well. They might have paid him more attention... No matter how poor a parent you are, you don't want the reputation that you raised a criminal, so I think they would have done it better had they been aware of the future. Though who is, so that's not the issue here.
His mother died quite early on in his life. The circumstances of this we are not currently certain of, however what we do know is that it caused a lot of emotional trauma for her mate, and the young Azureus, only a few months old at the time of her passing. It is unlikely that she died under natural circumstances, unfortunately to say. Her mate was stricken with grief, and spiralled down into a form of depression, where he just didn't want to see anyone. Including his own flesh and blood. So young Azureus was completely ignored for the majority of his young life. He would try anything to get his father's attention, to make him feel as if he were actually wanted, but his attempts were fruitless. So he tried other methods, acting out being one of them. That certainly did get some attention. Not from his father, mind you, but from others. So he continued, and just as his father had spiralled down, this was the beginning of his own spiral. However under very different circumstances. At first he had a downwards spiral of his own. He stole, vandalised, behaved in a generally anti-social manner... However he quickly realised his true potential as he was introduced to the game of fraud. So his spiral changed. He was spiralling up by forcing others to spiral down just as he had done, though they had little choice in the matter. Starting at such a young age meant that he picked up the tricks of the trade easier than most, and worked hard at them until he was near perfect. His youth was the edge that he held over others, as he had a face that was pretty easy to trust. Older Makos thought him cute, after all, what harm could a little fellow like him do to someone like them? They felt so secure over what they held dear, that they didn't see the deception through that childish innocence. It was getting his way in this manner that really inspired him to continue it further into his life. Why should he work long and hard like everyone else in something he hated, when he could just take what others have for himself as they are truly too ignorant to realise his ploys?
As one would assume, as he became older, his talents increased. He expanded his tricks, always learning new things, and testing out different ideas. Before it had been simpler things to trick the weak minded, though he started working his way up into bigger things. Fraud was one of his real favourites, though as he had done in his early days, he did occasionally devolve into theft, but fraud was the better of the two. Get them to invest in him, and then disappear. Another thing he had to be very good at in order to do his job properly, and trust me, he was. The ocean is a rather big place, so however memorable he may be, it's very unlikely he will be caught. Not for a long time at least. He's far too clever for that. However his journey into adulthood has mellowed him out a little. It's almost as though he's considering trusting someone, just so he doesn't have to bear the burden of his multiple lives on his own. As it really is harder to balance multiple lives than he is given credit for. He has to learn an awful lot, and remember a lot more. Though whether he would actually confide in someone else, it's hard to say. The concept is foreign to him. He has never trusted anyone but himself, as he has had absolutely no reason to trust others before. His mother abandoned him, or at least that's how he saw her death. His father ignored him when he needed him most. Society rejected him when he wanted to get back on his feet. So why should he put himself into their paws? Not to mention the justice system, which would love to get their paws on him...
I was very young when my mother left me behind to go to the other side... Far too young to even remember what she looked like. But every now and again, I'll hear her voice. Just a whisper in my ear. Always sad. Always telling me how disappointed she is in me. How I turned out...
For a long time I listened. I questioned my way of life, and the things I had done to those around me, but after a while I learned to tune it out. She left me, she did this to me. So why should I listen to her? What has she ever done for me, but make me miserable, and hate who I have become. I'm older now. I know what I'm doing. I am who I am, there's no changing that. And if you think I regret a single minute of it, then you're wrong. I love what I do. I enjoy the feeling of power I get over everyone else... Being the most intelligent guy in the room. Oh, it's a power trip alright. Once you start, it's impossible to stop. But I don't want to. This addiction has consumed me...
--
It was a dark night down by the docks. The water was calm, gently lapping at the old wooden supports as if it were a caress, made to comfort, despite neither having emotion of its own. The light of the moon glittered across the surface of the water, silver crystals dancing across each ripple as the current slowly dragged it along its course. The scene was almost too perfect. Too serene. Was this reality? Or just a delusion of a simplistic paradise so full of life, yet with no one present... Sometimes it was really hard to tell. It's when no one is around that you show your true colours... For even the most dangerous of criminals has a weak spot, perhaps buried deep within, so deep that no one knows. Not even them, sometimes, but it's always there. I know I shouldn't tell you this, but why not... This is my weak spot. Just a small, run down dock overlooking the ocean. No matter how far I run; for business or pleasure, I always end up here at the end of it all. This is where I grew up... Well, where I allowed myself to grow up, because no one else would take any notice of me. After a while I grew to like the solitude you see... It was calming, peaceful, quiet. No one around to judge you, just the water in all its majestic beauty.
But like everything, even the sea has two sides to it. There's this beauty, the serenity that looks into your soul and calms it as though it were mere child's play. Then the sheer crushing power of the waves as they smash against the breakwater. The old wood even splintering under the force on occasions, it wasn't very well cared for. In a way, as silly as it sounds, this place reminds me of myself. Further than just being where I grew up. It has been long forgotten by most, left to its own devices, and yet it remains constant. Not changing to suit the needs of others... Quite admirable I'd say... But for all the calm it can possess, the sea has brought down ships, dragged humans and animals away never to be seen again... But I see it for what it really is. Beautiful, even in the times it brings about death. There's a poetic beauty to it, as well as a physical one, you just have to look at it through someone else's eyes, then you'll understand. I'd offer you mine, but... I don't really want you poking around in my head. There's an awful lot in there that I could get into trouble over... If it fell into the wrong hands. And we wouldn't want that, would we?
wip
That's the thing about a con-artist, you never know who you're dealing with. As well as his tricks, he has multiple identities, all of which he knows inside out and back to front. However he needs to be careful to manage the number of identities, else he could get them confused, and suffer from some kind of breakdown. Not very good for business. Names have been withheld, however here are just a few of the different aliases he has used in the past.The typical con you would expect from someone like him. Although a good player anyway, he isn't afraid to get down and dirty. Cheating is just another part of the game. It ensures that he is the winner over all, and that he walks away with all of the money. He is one of the best at what he does, and will remain to be until someone else comes along and knocks him from his pedestal. Though there's no replacing the King, unless he feels it is time for him to retire from his throne, so he'll be right back onto the horse, if it wasn't just a clever play on the confidence of the other in the first place. One thing you come to learn about him is that you can never underestimate him. There is always a plan, and a back up plan to that. He is never vulnerable.It's incredibly easy to charm money out of others, believe it or not. They don't like to admit it, of course, but flash them a charming smile and they're hooked. It doesn't matter what they think you're selling, as long as you play them right. He is a little bit of a ladies man. Not because they mean anything to him, but because it attracts them to his game. They will say that it's the business that they're investing in, but it's really him. He is everything their husbands and boyfriends are not. He makes sure of this. It's so much easier to play them if that's what they believe. So he'll chat them up, he'll get their money, and then disappear. There is never any connection between them, how could there be? It's a relationship built on lies. They don't even know who he is, not really, they simply know what he wants them to know. Fake name, fake business, fake guy.Who is more desperate than those seeking fame? If everything looks legitimate then they will fall right into his trap, and at the same time he gets the joy of crushing their hopes and dreams by the end of it. With this he can pull a number of different people at once, then make off with everything he has collected in the time frame. They will pay for his services, and he'll act just as any talent scout, or manager, would... But he won't put them up for jobs, he won't take them on further... Some have the potential, some don't, but the one thing they have in common is that they have money, and are stupid enough to fall for his plans. So some would say that they deserved what they got. A little harsh, considering that all they really wanted was to accomplish their dreams. Who doesn't want that?Click the images below to expand the pieces of art.

I will be here
when you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you
You’ll never know what hit you
Won’t see me closing in
I’m gonna make you suffer
This hell you put me in
I’m underneath your skin
The devil within
You’ll never know what hit you
I tried to be the lover to your nightmare
Look what you made of me
Now I’m a heavy burden that you can’t bear
Look what you made of me
Look what you made of me
I’ll make you see

I take it that art doesn't count as an extra, as it's in the form.
However what kind of word count are we looking at for those two extras? x3
A couple paragraphs would be fine; around 800 perhaps? c:
Also, I think maybe I will remove the art part and let that be an extra as well; I don't want anyone to lose out because they couldn't make/order anything c:
