Vivian loves 'ordinary' peanut butter dog cookies. However, there is a catch to the way she likes them. The only way she will eat them is if the names of 'fallen' military dogs are carved into them. This is a very peculiar activity that she does, but there is a reason behind it. As a pup she knew a dog names Marks; he was a golden retriever and work for a local police officer. When the officer died, they didn't want to put Marks out of service because he was so young. The tradition was to put the dog out of service, but because he was so young and one of the top 12 dog they had; they put him to use again. However it was not with an officer, it was for the military as a bomb sniffing dog. He didn't die in the line of fire on a bomb field. However, he did die. The camp in which he'd ben in had been raided and blown up. From the point Vivian found out about her best friends death she'd been devastated. She wouldn't eat; bark; and hardly slept. Finally she got a treat as a gift from the police station with Marks 'full name', his military unit, and his birth - death date. She still has the cookie saved under her dog bed, but the idea stuck. The only way she eats treats is if they have that same info, carved into it.
