What is a Jewel Mane Dragon?;;
A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.

Suteki Kawaii Akiyama-Oniyuri. She is Japanese so yes, her names are all of Japanese origin as well as herself. Her first name, Suteki, means beautiful. It was the first thing that popped into my head. Seriously. I just went with it. Kawaii means pretty... because I dunno it popped into my head too... Akiyama is a Japanese surname meaning autumn mountain. It kind of matched her colors and I really like it. The purple swirls on her could be the autumn breeze, making her white flowers dance. And then her colors seem sort of autumn themed. Her darker orange would be the steeper part of the mountain, hard to climb up, and the lighter would be lower down, not easy, but not hard. Now I'm getting symbolic. Well, you get what I mean, right? Oniyura means tiger lily. I noticed that she looked like that too so I just added it. It is the last name she added because she wanted to forget her parents and still be linked to them. So she got a last name added.

Masaki is the only male JMD that has really intrigued her. And she's demisexual, meaning she isn't very affectionate. She doesn't allow herself to get close to males, so the fact that one has even intrigued her is a big deal. To her, boy's are just another obstacle. They go away if you ignore them. They get irritated if you insult them. She does both. Now being intrigued by one? It's not like some girly crush for her. She just doesn't make as many digs at him. She'll possibly acknowledge him, but not speak to him... Probably just a little sideways glance. Affection isn't something she's good with. So she just doesn't do it. The sad thing is the only way you know she's 'intrigued' not to use the word like, is that she acts like she forgot who they are completely. Every time she sees Masaki, she gives him a confused look and says, Who are you? It may seem rude, but that's how she shows affection. By not showing affection. She is a very complicated girl.

When Suki, which is her nickname when Suteki gets tedious to remember, speaks, her voice is quiet and soft, almost caring. But it is full of coldness, remorse and hate. She doesn't speak very much, and when she does, the quietness of her voice, mixed with how cold and hateful it is warns off anyone that may dare to come close. She isn't social at all and doesn't want to be. She feels she will be fine with she, herself, and her. I'm not saying she's shy, far from it even! She isn't afraid to stand up for herself and she's very bold... She just thinks talking is a waste of breath, not to mention she was blessed... or cursed, however you see it, with a naturally soft and quiet voice. It makes people think she's delicate. She doesn't want to be thought of as delicate... even though she knows she is.
Suki can warn of anyone with the chill of her voice. She isn't afraid to show you just how much she despises you. Insult her all you want, she'll reply with something that will wake you want to cry... or she'll just walk away yawning like you're not worth her time. She doesn't care and probably won't care. She surrounds herself with a force-field of hate, anger, and hurt from her past and uses it to block out everyone. She doesn't let anyone so much as get close to her force field, much less touch it, so breaking through it, getting her to love you, even like you... It's basically a lost cause. The first thing she ever says to any male is a symbolic warning off then she goes back to Queen Ice. Her white jewel compliments this as she usually has a snowy glow around her, making her cold to touch as well as cold when speaking.
Due to all this she has a mysterious aura around her. No one can quite understand her and she's fine with that. Anyone that tries to understand her gets lost in a snowy blizzard. Literally. She has trained herself to the point that any purple jewel that tries to read her mind get's mentally lost in a blizzard. They see nothing but blizzard and snow. This makes all believe that she truly does have a heart of ice. But ice can always be melted. She doesn't take well to being called pretty because it just brings back memories. She can't be complimented. She prefers being insulted. She's very mysterious and complicated, I'll tell you that much. She just has this barrier that isn't made to be broken.
Surely you can't expect someone of her beauty not to be vain? She's beautiful and she knows it. She prides herself in her looks, but she doesn't like others noticing it. She expects them to walk away, she hopes they walk away. She doesn't want to deal with being complimented, being liked, having to please, or having to make others happy. She believes that in this world, anyone can back-stab you, so don't let anyone get close enough to. If they can't even touch her, how do you expect them to back-stab her? Beauty is her main priority, but she still expects others not to notice. She is very complicated. She has a beautiful face and she isn't going to hide it. She could wipe off someone else's beauty with a wet Kleenex, but don't even try it with her. She's naturally beautiful, don't be jelly!
Her whole personality has been set on hate hasn't it? Do you want an explanation? I would think so. Someone so beautiful yet so ugly... In her past she has been hurt physically and emotionally. She has been abused, insulted, used, despised, then left for dead. She has reason to hate. Her father kicked out her mother. He abused Suki herself, he offered her for money, then when she became hateful, he beat her up and left her for dead. Her past is very tragic. But she doesn't want your pity so stay out of it if you know what's good for you.

Though she doesn't show it, she longs for approval. She isn't puddy in anyone's hands, but she wants to be approved of, liked, popular. But she also doesn't want to... It's complicated. She's insecure. She just isn't sure what others think of her.. and to be frank, she doesn't care.. but she does deep inside her. She wants to be loved but she wants to be hated... Do you get what I'm saying? She's secure.. but yet so insecure...
With her past, how could you expect her not to be hurt? Deep inside her she is fragile and broken. Her pieces are scattered all over the floor and they're virtually impossible to put back together but if one person can... They will have her loyalty for life. She doesn't even want to be touched because she's afraid. She's afraid to be hurt. She's afraid that someone will put her back together and break her into smaller pieces. She's afraid and hurt.
After her mother was kicked out, Suki heard word that she had started a new life, now having four children and a new richer husband. She was heart-broken that her mother, her last hope, had forgotten her so quickly. She has no doubt in her mind that her father replaced her as well. She now has no parents because they have all forgotten her and she cares about them even less than they care about her... which is barely to not at all.
She has anger issues, admittedly. She has become very angry over the years and despises all males. She doesn't particularly like parents. I mean, she knows it's ridiculous and stupid, but she just can't trust anyone after what happened to her. When someone asks her about her family she could just about throw them into a wall. She also wants to hug them for reminding her.. then slam them into a wall. She just doesn't want to remember them.
She is incredibly complicated as you must have noticed. She is insecure yet secure, angry yet calm, forgotten but remembered, hurt but unharmed. Overall, her entire personality isn't two sided at all. It's sort of the same thing... but more in depth. Suki seems like a person that just can't make up her mind, but believe me, her mind is fully made up and not swaying. It's just different when you first meet her. After you know her for a while, the barrier, though still there, you can sort of see through it... just enough to slowly get her to trust you, which is surely a treat.

Tiger Lily. Her beautiful markings sort of remind me of a tiger's markings, so I was thinking of naming her Tiger. But then I saw the flowers, and decided to name her....Tiger Lily! Tiger Lilies are actual flowers too. I realize that this JMD's markings don't exactly look like the actual flower, but I tried to make it so you an imagine a tiger printed flower not the actual red lilies. Though, I still made her name meaning "red lillies". Also, tiger Lillie's are beautiful, fluorescent, and BRIGHT which in a way fits her yellow jewel. I think the name Tiger Lily is the perfect name for a tiger and flower printed JMD, such as this beauty. Her nickname is Lily.
