What is a Jewel Mane Dragon?;;
A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.

He grew up in a small town with his family.He didn't have many friends,he seemed to the left out outcast.He was sweet and caring but everyone seemed to not care.
He was a outcast and stood out from the rest.He was always doing something different then most kids his age.He grew up and got older.He became who he was from this.
His home area a war use to rage on,by two clans of Jewel Mane Dragons. But he seemed to never knew about it though, It was very competitive to get food and water here.A lot of them were hungry a lot of thirsty.
He always was alone and such a loner.He never cared to befriended anybody.
One day he wandered into the city streets and he got taken from his family.He grew up alongside a human,stil not making friends but became very good at art and all that,he eventually ran away back home from the zoo he was stuck in.He made it home and when he did everyone seemed to be scared of Saige because of his new skills.It kind of hurt him.

If you are down, you can come right to Nalo and he'll crack a joke as soon as
he notices that frown. Nalo is just born a funny guy, but even though he is funny,
that doesn't mean that he doesn't take a lot of things seriously. I can say that he
is a serious person when he wants and a funny one at most.

C A R I N G

Got a cut or a scrape? Nalo will be there in a second to help you. He personally
thinks that getting hurt is not supposed to be right, and always lives life on the
careful and caring side. Physically or emotionally, it will always sadden Nalo
if he or someone else gets hurt.

A D V E N T U R O U S

You'll almost always see Nalo peeping around cracks and crevasses to see if he
might get lucky and there would be a pathway or a little adventure. When he is
away from the playful side of him, he'll even tightrope across a canyon than
stay at home all day.

F E A R L E S S

All great adventurers cant have fear, right? Its not very cool when you are
tip-toeing across a small ledge with thinking of fear that you could drop any
second with proper footing on a specific part. Its only fun when you are only
thinking of what lies on the other side.

O N C E U P O N A T I M E...

__It wasn't the best day, and it wasn't the worst. It was just a normal day in the life of any normal JMD. But this story has a twist. The JMD had just gave birth to 2 little ones, all a brown color, but one was a dusty brown compared to her brothers more richer chocolaty brown fur. The richer colored one was the favorite of the two, and he was almost always chosen first for anything that anyone would ask the siblings to do. He was soon then named 'Nalo Dai' which meant Lovable and Beloved, and it was true to as he was to his sibling.
__The day that a large event happened was a cloudy day, but no rain.
__Nalo and his sister were playing out in the yard, tumbling and rolling over each other in a playful fit. It has been 4 months since their mother had had them, and it was just about the time that they would soon be sent on their own journey to find their jewel power. After Nalo's mother had heard them fighting, she told them to go inside. For two reasons actually. One, it was enough time for their to have their aggressiveness and competitiveness kick in and actually start fighting, with fear of blood from their beloved mother. And the clouds were moving in, slowly, but it looked like it rain, and she didn't want wet children walking into the den, getting everything wet. It had been a while after she had told them what to do, so she peered inside her den, it turned out that the cubs had disobeyed their mothers orders and continued to rough each other up, but this time, they were no where to be seen.
__It turned out that the cubs were safe, actually. They were just playing what they thought was a hide-and-seek game with their mother. Their mother searched deeply in ever place she could find. She hadn't found the spot where the cubs were hiding, though. The dense thought struck her, 'Could they have gotten, lost in the forest?'. It turned out that this could be an accurate assumption, just from the fact that there was woods surrounding the den that the small family lived in.
__Their mother wouldn't give up in finding them though. She walked awkwardly to the dense forest as she approached a small gap in the trees, just big enough that she could fit through it. She half-mindedly started calling out their names, Nalos, then his sisters. Over and over again. By this time, the clouds have moved over the land that they lived on, and made it darker. If you would believe me, I would say that that is horrible for a mother that is searching for her cubs in an already dark forest. Nalo, was the first one to give up, believing that his mother is waiting for him inside of the den, worried sick about them. He padded forward, paw by paw until he reached the entrance. No one there.
__After a while, he had gotten lost in the forest, the exact one his mother first came to search of him by. By the seems of it, his mother has also gotten lost in the forest, growing weak from walking around, and is heavily-breathing from calling out her children's names. Her aching paw pads were tired, and she was in general. Laying down, she dozed off into her dreams. That night she dreamt of Nalo and his sister. But the dream stopped halfway. She was growing old, and was very weak at that point. She gently passed away in the forest in the depths of the night. Soon after she passed away, Nalo came to a clearing in the forest and saw his dead mothers body lay there. He didn't know what to do.
__So he cried.
__His tears and sorrow filled the empty forest, stirring what ever might have been around the clearing. But something then there strange happened, Nalo felt power surge through his body. Why? You'll find out. Above him, where the clearing was, it started to get brighter, and brighter. The louder he cried, the stronger the source of light got. Jolts of light came crashing through the clearing, and started moving like pieces of silk, swarming Nalo and his dead mothers body. He became attracted to them and got curious of where the light source was coming from. He saw a strange yellow glow emit from his forehead, and at the bridge of his tail. Something didn't look usual. He stopped his breath for the realization that from this day and now on. He will live to be a yellow jewel. His mothers fate was to let him be guided to his destiny jewel color. And with his new jewel power, soon found his way out of the forest. How did his sister get her jewel color? That is a tale to be told another time.

Horace is a man of few words. He generally speaks only the most important words, partially because of his quiet and sheltered life, and always chooses what he says carefully before it's said. However, since he can sometimes be a little rough with his wording, he may come across as a little gruff.

His protectiveness can sometimes cause him to appear as very fatherly towards other jewels, especially younger ones. His sturdy build reflects his down-to-earth and stubborn personality; once decided on something, it's difficult to shift his decision unless some hard evidence or incredibly good reasoning is provided. Horace is highly intelligent, and usually makes well-thought-out choices when they need to be made.

We'll start from the beginning.

On a bleak Wednesday afternoon, in the icy grips of midwinter, three brothers were born.

Those three children struggled; the biggest, a dark and dusky brown child, was nearly always best off; the middle-sized ball of fluff, milky cream-coloured with darker accents, whose piteous wail sounded through the nights with hunger; and finally, the smallest. As dusty brown as his older brother, he was unnaturally silent as the cold winds howled around them. Whilst the other two competed, he waited. And listened.

He was Horace.

The cold could not last long. Curled up against the endlessly vast ocean of their mother's warmth, the tiny family thrived through the winter. When spring finally arrived, all four, mother and children, were spindly and delicate, but very much alive. Through their younger years, the family rarely argued or fought, and instead often had a quiet sense of community and balance around them.

As years stretched on, the three brothers each began their own pursuits in life. The eldest, now strong in both mind and body, worked hard for his keep with the farmers. The middle brother, smaller and scrawnier than both his brothers, studied hard to hone his intelligence. And the third...

Well, he stayed with his mother.

Horace had always been aware of those in need, and here it showed. While his two elder brothers selfishly pursued their own well being, he helped his weak and sickly mother with repairs and sales of the apples she grew in her backyard on a single tree. The two had a happy life, often wondering where the other two brothers were, but never chasing them down; instead, they let it be. And their days were merry and sunny, although his mother's body was growing weaker and weaker by the day.

One fall evening just days after his twentieth birthday, when the frosts were just setting in and the leaves were as red as an undying flame, his mother's eyes closed for the last time.

Even without the existence he loved most, the world kept spinning. The seasons kept turning. Each day had the same taste, and time seemed to pass him by indiscriminately, like a thief in the night. Nights had no meaning, but the same could be said for his days. The only thing Horace had left to look forward to was the spring, when the apple-blossoms grew and his memories of his mother overflowed, like the petals spiralling gently to the floor.

His story didn't end there. After five years of caring for the home they'd first shared, a letter was delivered to the cottage, and its contents were grave. One of his brothers had mysteriously died whilst working the fields. Sadness pervaded his mood once again, yet Horace followed his instincts and left to visit late on the very same night.

The details of those two fateful nights are found in the extra.

After that, Horace had finally found his calling in life. The truth, however painful, is what he truly desired to uncover most in the world. So now, a lone brother once of three, he lives his life on the fourth floor of an average city apartment; always ready to leap into action and begin investigations.

He was born in Saint Petersburg Russia, in the woods without his dad, Alex. His mom raised him until he was two years old, and then just left him in the woods. His mom didn't give him a name, so when he grew up, and learned to talk, he named himself after the woods, because that was the place he grew up in. He moved to Moscow, in search of a mate. When he saw that there were no JMDs around, he sadly moved back to the forest he was born in.

Laermeluion can be very harsh, often speaking before he thinks. His words seem more rude then he means for them to be.

Need I say more? He is incredibly stubborn. Once he's made up his mind, there's no changing it. Whether it's about doing something good, or something crazy, he'll have his heart set on it and do anything to make it happen. He'd rather work to prove his point than admit he's wrong.

.:Sly:.
He's a smooth talker. He knows the right words to say to lure the most inner secrets out into the open. His eyes are so alluring, it's hard to look away from them. Plus, he is very quiet, and often sneaks around to places he probably shouldn't be.

.:Soft:.
The one side Laermeluion refuses for anyone to see. He actually cares what others think of him, and is desperate to keep his friends happy. He loves to wander off into the woods, watch the birds fly from tree to tree while singing their sweet songs. He loves to sing with them, and what a beautiful voice he has. He adores singing, but is scared that someone will hear him. This is one side he keeps very close to himself.

History:
Born far from the woods, in the hustle and bustle of the city, Laermeluion was given the name Bevin, his English name. He was aware of his elven name, but in an urge to fit in, he kept his regular name. Day by day, the loud cars and even louder dragons. slowly wore Bevin down. He longed for the forest his parents told him of, for the quiet breeze through the trees instead of honking horns.
One day, he was fed up with it. He told his parents he had to leave, to find the real life he needed. They did not stop him, but let him discover his own path. And with that, he was off.
He traveled many days till he couldn't hear even the slightest of city noise. He found a small brook and followed it to a town of gentler Jewel Mane Dragons. The town wasn't too small, but wasn't too big, plenty of dragon friends there. They were very kind and welcoming, and he had never felt more at home. They helped him build his own home close to the edge of the woods, and he made friends. He was indeed stand-offish, but the others knew he wouldn't change. They didn't mind talking to him though.
Here in this beautiful town, he changed his name to his elven name, Laermeluion. He was proud of it. He knew the meaning of it was "man with a sweet song", and he felt that was rather true. He would sneak off to the woods and wander far into it's tall trees. Finding a sunny patch, Laermeluion would lie in it and sing. The forest seemed to hush at the sound of his voice; it was so beautiful. The sun would shine on him, giving him his own spotlight. Sometimes, the birds would whistle to him and he'd whistle back.
He had found his home.

After many months at the town, many months of wandering the woods, Laermeluion knew everything there was about the area. All the whistle of the birds, the cries of the woodland animals, even the voices of the other dragons. While he was singing one day, a soft lilting voice echoed back to him. Dainty, and sweet like honeysuckle. He knew this was no bird, so being curious as always, he followed it. He would sing a few notes, and the voice would return them.
The soft sound got louder and louder till he found the source: a beautiful snow-white Jewel Mane Dragon lay in the sunlight. She had pink ivy-like marking on her legs, beautiful flowers on her tail, and a small swirl around her right eye. Her jewel was the same stunning pink, and everything around her seemed beautiful. The birds rested around her, listening to her song. A fawn had wandered close to her, unafraid.
Laermeluion whistled once more, and the female dragon realized the sound was close. She turned her head and looked in his direction. Their eyes locked. Those beautiful, pale grey eyes looking into his yellow ones. She smiled and said gently, "Hello there."
"H-hello to you too." he replied. "What are you doing here? I've never seen you before."
"Oh, I'm here almost every day, singing to the woods. The trees here are the best audience, always listening to me. What are you doing here?"
"The same.." He lost himself in her eyes. "What is your name?"
She blushed and said, "Almond Blossom, but I go by Abbi. It symbolizes delicacy, hope, and sweetness. How about yours?"
"Your name suites you, Almond Blossom. My name is Bevin, but my real name is Laermeluion. It means 'man with a sweet song'".
"Your name fits you rather well." Abbi smiled at him. "Would you care to sing with me?"
At that moment, Laermeluion knew he had found something special. And he didn't plan on letting it go.
