What is a Jewel Mane Dragon?;;
A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.

My first jewlie as a GA! Now, it can be either gender, and has a green jewel - manipulation of earth and creation of flowers.

To win him/her, really just impress me. Impressing me would mean, high quality art, interesting information, and just a ton of hard work into your form. I really like this one I created so I will be rather picky about the winner. There is something specific I based it on, so if you answer it right in part of the form, that is bonus points. I would name this dragon Tropic, because the fruit that she reminds me of came from somewhere that Is tropic and her design overall fits the name. She also goes by Trop, though so you can call her either one. She doesn't care.

I would have to say that this dragon is a female, I just cant see her as a male with her pink eyes and bright colors.

Well, at first she kinda reminded me of some kind of citrus... But when I looked at the green hints and the color of the jewl I would have to say that she reminds me of a Horned melon.

for the most part, tropic is a laid back JMD. she doesn't really care about whats going on around her and tends not to worry about things that she probably should. She is always off in her own world, she never does what she is supposed to do especially if it involves math or anything like that. Yep... she's not the smartest dragon, but she isn't stupid either. She handles everyday things just fine but hates school. She has the tendency to be rude when she gets upset about something, or something is in a way that she dislikes. Tropic gets annoyed easily by immature dragons. Tropic is social and she likes to interact with others. She is kind... But not always so helpful. She would NEVER tell anyone this, but she is actually obsessed with pokemon. Her favorite pokemon is the new one, sylveon.

I would name this helluva beauty Leda Veje {LAY-DUH VEEJ}. It is Bosnian and also Belarusian in nature, and it means 'Soda Pop'.

A female, of course! Her dainty pastel markings and sweet pink eyes add to the feminine side of her.

I think she's either based off of fruits {specifically cherries}, flowers {tulips maybe?} or maybe even cherry soda. The marking on her upper left hind leg definitely looks like a cherry, and the green jewel alludes to a flowery {or plant-y?} side of her.

Veje {pronounced VAYJ, like 'beige' when used as a nickname} is a very cutesy little girl. She enjoys doing up her fur, adding in doodads and such- just random little accessories that she finds occasionally. She is girly to the point of prissy, and absolutely refuses to get her paws dirty. She keeps her coat very clean and prides herself on it. In this aspect, she can almost appear lazy, because she will usually not step foot outside of her own yard. Not that she's scared of the world, just that she doesn't want to get dirty. She has never gone on a hike, and, except for during the summer in her own impeccable and perfect pool, she has never swum either. Being a girly-girl almost seems to stop her from doing things deemed 'fun' by many others.
Gentle as a dove and light as a feather, Veje has a sweet side to her that brings out the good in everyone. She is compassionate and adorabu, and helps everyone in need. She makes friends easily and enjoys being social!
Veje has, deep down inside of her, a truly big heart. She cares for everyone and doesn't mind being 'stuck with' someone. Although she does have her grudges and a flippy side, she is usually a good and caring jewel. Everyone likes her {except a select few}, and they know if they are her friend she will always be there for them.
A kind and caring soul, Veje shares a love for all who have done something to deserve it. She will never let anyone down- she could never bear to leave in a time of crises. She is there to cry on your shoulder or as a friend to laugh with. She shows up all the time around rehab centers and speaks to many of the patients- just sitting there comforting them, talking with them, watching TV with them. Veje has a heart of compassion for all.
She is also a busybody and very helpful- she loves to do extra little things like donate to charities or buy necessities for the homeless. It makes her feel important and special, as though she is saving lives. {Which she is!}
Now, as beautiful as she is {and she knows it!}, Veje has a certain attractiveness to many males that none can resist. She is sweet and flirty- batting an eye at a certain someone, making good jokes, picking out prime dates. She has eagerly launched herself into the love world, and dang, is she good at it!
Veje also knows she is a good person. She does lots of fine things. Plus she's gorgeous. So what's not to show off about? She loves flaunting all her good traits in front of her friends {this isn't really one of them}. And of course she just throws herself all over the place when interviewed! She's quite the camera-hogger, an attention-lover.
And oh, hot damn, does this girl have an attitude! Sassy, spunky and sparky. She's quick to anger if you rile her up, and she thinks she can boss everyone around. {She tries it, too.} She dislikes being told what to do, however! Plus she's got that flirty aspect, so that fiery spirit bubbles up with sass when she's around hot guys!
And finally, she is a very charming JMD. She can wrap anyone around her little finger without batting an eyelash! She will do anything for anybody, and this highlights this fine trait of hers well.

WIP- The first one is her biggest secret, and why it must be kept secret. The other one will be 3 odd little quirks that she has.

Veje's secret is that, despite the fact that she has a green jewel, she dislikes to train plants. She believes that it is wrong- forcing plants to grow, she reasons, is like neglecting a companion. And you don't neglect a companion. Instead, Veje grows them until they are full-grown and healthy, then she harvests them, leaving plenty enough for the plant to continue growing still and maybe even scatter more seeds. She also only grows herbs- things like basil, and thyme, as well as actual remedial herbs such as dandelions, mallow, poppies, juniper and catnip. See, the thing is that Veje has always had more of an interest in being a brown jewel than a green one. However, she is still grateful that she has a green jewel instead of any other color- luckily, she can still be tied into the healing arts she loves. She uses her plants to aid her little hobby that also doubles as an occupation- using natural, herbal remedies to resolve common health issues in local jewelies.









[size=120][color=#E01B5D]1.) She loves to gnaw on things...don't ask why o//o Usually it's just cords, grass and such, but sometimes she starts chewing weirder things when she's nervous or anxious, like...her own tail.
2.) There is always some song in her head. It doesn't necessarily have to be stuck in her head, nor does it have to be any particular type of music. Sometimes it's just a few notes that come back to her. She ties in a lot of her memories to music- song in her life is very important. The need for song came from when she was little, and she would only be quiet {and/or go to sleep} if sung to. From then on she simply loved music and has always had an interest! She likes writing her own songs and doodling images to match the lyrics as well- often you'll find her up late at night, staring at the soft night sky and cold stars for inspiration.
3.) She is a very, very social JMD, and feels the need to feel everything to know she isn't being lied to, that it's really real and actually there. However, Veje is not actually touchy-feely or needy in the least. She is just very social and needs to have a firm hold on things in her life. {This is why she does not make friends over the Internet easily.}
