Sweet Dreams, Luke

Introducing..
Hello, my name is Revolution, but I can be called Revo, if you want. What did you say your name
was?
M-my name is Luke, I-I'm a Kiamara..
What a precious name of yours! I'm sure it means light, doesn't it?
Yes..
Descisions
Now, do you want to hear a bedtime story?
S-sure, what about something about birds? I love birds..
Excellent choice Luke. I have an interest in birds too!
*smiles*
Storytelling
So, Luke. Once upon a time..
There was a hummingbird, a small ugly duckling, you could say.
He would always fall behind because one wing was smaller than the other, like Nemo, for
example. His beak was misshaped, so sadly he can't get to the correct flowers his breed
of Hummingbirds need. One day, he saw a deer, but no, Luke, this wasn't any normal deer.
It was an albino deer, and had blue specks on it's back.
What grace and beauty this deer had! The little hummingbird, hmm.. let's call the
hummingbird Birdie. So, birdie
went up to the deer and asked him a very meaningful question:
"I don't like who I am! You're magical.. Change me!"
So the deer nodded, and knelt down and touched it's antlers onto Birdie's soft noggin.
Boom! A puff of smoke came up from the ground.
T-then what happened??
Well, Birdie turned into a deer too! But he had the colors red, green, and white, as
his past hummingbird form had.
My, oh, my! Birdie did not like it one bit. He stumbled and tripped, he did not like it
at ALL! The deer, which could now communicate with Birdie, said something that
changed Birdie's life:
"I used to be an ugly duckling- a hummingbird like you. But then I asked to be changed
to someone I wasn't. I couldn't change
back because it was too late!"
Birdie was astonished. Frantically, he said:
"Oh, no! Change me back! Change me back!"
So the deer did.
And after that, Birdie was grateful for who he was, even though he had a little bit of
flaws, he knows there's so many things that are flawless about him, his heart of gold,
his beauty, his kind personality. The end.
Moral
So, Luke, did you learn something about this story?
Yes!
What is it?
Be thankful for who you are. Because you're stuck with it! *giggle*
Where did that shy Luke go?
Shy Luke is gone, because now I am Brave Luke! I am proud for who I am, so now
I am happier. Yay!

The End

Light of the world,
forever reign
Luke is a boy's name, and means "light" or
"bright." I chose this name because I think
that this pup has a great personality and he
just looks like he would bring happiness, joy,
hope, and light to the world around him.

The story came from the top of
my head, if you were wondering :3

      Username; Glomp
      Name; Deonte
      (de on te)
Name Meaning; Being a form of Dante, it means lasting, enduring.
It fits what I have in mind for him, since he knows about this everlasting youth he has, and he must learn to endure it.
      Gender; Male

Short History; Deonte was abandon once his parents found out about his condition, and people who took him in where not very nice to say the least, making fun of him being PPS, making him feel worthless. His adopted parents were found out, and he was taken into foster care. May, my kiamara, has recently adopted/is trying to adopt him.
      ____
Once upon a time...

A shadow lingered at the door, Deonte saw it through half closed eyes. The shadow seemed unsure, swaying this way and back, finally stepping out, gently closing the door behind it.
    "Wait!"
The door opened, allowing more light to enter the room, no longer was she a shadow, but a lovely green Kia, "May." he mentally corrected himself. Walking over to his bed, she was smiling, like she was earlier..
    "What is it, dear?"
Deonte's face flushed, ducking a little closer to the clovers,
    "I'm... I need a drink of water."
His voice was clear, only quiet when starting off, though, learning in to the bed like he was, it seemed out of place. He watched as May's face dropped a bit, as if she was hoping for something else, though she continued smiling,
"Of course, I'll be right back.."
Deonte watched as she went out, not really wanting a drink, just scared. It wasn't the dark that now enclosed him, nor the sounds, no, it a question. One question. How would she react? Would she laugh, like they did when they found out? She didn't act like them, but..
    "Here, Deonte."
His breathing increase, when did she get back?
    "Are you alright?"
He shallowed, as she put down the water, he noticed something.. she was worried, about him.
"I-I didn't see you came back.."
May let out a relief breath, looking at the little mess,
    "Are you sure?"
Nodding, his breathing started to slow.. he would be alright. Though he could feel May looking at him, she wasn't convinced. Back to lingering, she swayed and started to turn, though stayed.
"Would.. would you like to hear a story?"
Deonte couldn't believe his ears, she wanted to tell him a story?
    "Would you?"
Excitement began building, though some doubt formed, was she lying?
"Of course, I would love to tell you a story. ..Any story you would really like to hear?"
Deonte didn't even have to think,
    "Tom Thumb! ..Please."
He looked over to May's face, she was still smiling, though it was somehow bigger, brighter.
"Once upon a time, there was a poor farm couple. Now this couple wanted a child so bad, but were unable to have one.
"Oh, I wish I could have a child, even if he was the size of my thumb."
the wife said, with a sigh,
"As do I, honey.. as do I.""
Deonte made a face, May paused,
    "What is it, Deonte?"
Looking sheepish and ducking slightly, he stayed quiet, would she be mad?
"....I just didn't remember him calling her honey.."
May couldn't contain a giggle, though it wasn't anything like the scornful laughter, he even found himself smiling.
"Now where was I? Oh, yeah. The couple soon found themselves with a child, no bigger then their thumb.
"Well, we can't say we didn't get what we wished for."
The wife, now mother, said, the father just nodded. Now, they bestowed many little gifts to their son, who they named Tom Thumb. But as the years went by, the father couldn't help but wish he had a bigger, stronger son who could drive the horse for him,
"Sigh, dear wife, it is tiresome being having to drive the horse cart, especially after chopping wood.."
Tom Thumb hearing this piped up, wanting to help his father, though it also because he really wanted to try new things.
"Father, let me drive it. I can do it." Laughing softly, his father looked at-"
    "He didn't laugh."
Deonte boldly stated, then flinched, did he really say that? His eyes widen, wishing he was under the bed, out of reach.
May, however, only smiled at him,
"Oh? I guess I forgot. Thank you for telling me, Deonte. His father looked at his son,
"Tom, you are too small for such things, it would be foolish on my part to allow you." Though Tom Thumb didn't accept that for an answer,
"Father, I have a gift with animals, you and mother both say so, just put me near the ear of the animal, I will tell him what to do. He'll listen."
The father was very uncertain, the horse could hurt his son. Though Tom Thumb wouldn't stop persisting him, so he allowed it. Though that day, he would stay closer to the house, should he need to get to his son."
Deonte listened intensely, he knew it was about to get good. The story played itself before his eyes,
"Tom Thumb's mother put him on the head of horse, and he whispered into his ear, securing himself in the mane of the animal. And the horse listened, just as Tom said they would. As he trotted off, a couple of men saw the horse and cart, which appeared to moving without a rider,
"How does that do that, brother?"
    His brother slapped him,
"It just does because, idiot. Don'tcha question science."
"Ow, that hurt! And 'sides, science says nothing about horses and carts without riders, remember? It was.."
"Ya can't even remember, that's why I'm smarter.""
Deonte, who couldn't for the life of him remember this part of the story couldn't hold back giggles. This was great.
""Oh, come on, let's at least follow it, I didn't ever seen one."
    "Fine."
So they followed the little cart, soon Tom decided to take a break, and had the horse stop, he climbed out of the mane, and the two brothers saw him,
"That don't look like science to me.. he looks like a fairy."
The other looked at Tom Thumb in disbelief, before composing himself.
"Nah, no such thing, he's a person. A very small one... hey, you know something? I have never seen a person that small, I bet we could get rich if we had him."
    "..You mean adopt him?"
"What? No! He's too small to really be a human, we'll just buy him.""
A hurt look crossed Deonte face, was this what she thought of him?
    "..Deonte, what's wrong?"
    He quickly looked down,
"...Just.. about how small Tom is.."
May quickly put her tail near him.
"Honey, those are the bad guys, they don't know what they are talking about."
    Deonte slowly looked back up,
"So.. you don't think that about me?"
"Deonte, look at my eyes, I would never think that about you."
    "Really?"
Deonte could hardly breath when May nodded,
"Yes, Deonte, of course. How could I?"
Deonte didn't hide the tears forming, he learned into her fur.
    "..Please keep going."
"Well, Tom Thumb heard what they said and-"
    "Wait, he did?"
Deonte really couldn't remember this part.
"Yes, he did. And thought, well, wanna buy me, eh? So after he and his father got home, he told his mother and father about it, who hear both horrified about it.
"Son, we will never sell you, not for all the gold in the world."
    Though Tom shook his head,
"Father, I want you to sell me. I know the harvest isn't going to good, and you need this money."
His mother firmly shook her head,
"No, Tom. We do not need the money, we need you."
Though Tom shook his head again,
"I will not be gone long, they are simpletons. I will be able to lose them easily. Besides, they must learn they can't just go along buying whatever they desire."
His mother looked towards her husband, hoping he would talk some sense into the lad, though as he opened his mouth, a knock came at the door. Tom Thumb jumped on his sleeve, grabbing on to his button. Upon opening the door, the two were outside, his father glared icily at them,
    "What do you want?"
"Well, see, we saw your little guy and thought to ourselves, oh how we would love to care for him, since we can do it better."
The other looked at him, a expression which said, wait, I thought we was going to buy him and make money off him..?
"We can take better care of him cause we got money, see? So we'll give you this bag o' money and.. we'll adopt him."
The other was now very confused,
    "Wait you said we-"
    "SHHH"
Before his father could answer, the boy spoke in imitation of his father's voice,
"Of course, you sound like grand fellows."
And before they could do anything, the lad was gone, with a bag of money in his place."
    Deonte looked a little confused,
"Wait, didn't they sell him? Because they knew he was going to come home?"
    May shook her head,
"Different people do say that, though his parents would never dream of selling him."
Smiling, he settled back into his bed, eyes drooping slightly.
"So, the two thought they fooled them all, with Tom sitting on one of their hats, though, as they gone a ways from the house, they needed a rest, so the one with Tom Thumb on his hat took it off, and Tom ran into a hole, a mouse hole.
"Where did he go? I just took my hat off and..OW!"
    His brother's face was furious,
"You took off your hat? With him on it? That's just plain dumb!"
And they looked for him, though after an hour search, they walked away, angry.
    "He's sure is smart, uh?"
    "Oh shutap!"
Tom laughed, this sure was fun! Though he looked out the hole.. and realized he had no idea where he was."
Finding himself falling asleep, Deonte woke himself up when he heard this part, he had to stay up, it was getting to his favorite part!
"There was a road, though he had no idea on which way he should head.. maybe he should have listened to his parents. Nightfall came and he was still lost, so he decided to find somewhere to sleep for the night.
"This old snail shell should do.."
He said, curling up inside. It wasn't long before he heard two voices,
"Boy, I sure wish I could rob that old place.."
"Yeah, bet it has a lot of goods in it. Too bad they actually have people watching over it."
Tom Thumb knew these would be some of the only people that he would see in awhile, though how could he get these to actually take him along? A smile crossed his little face.
"I know how to rob the place."
    Both jumped,
    "Who said that?"
Tom Thumb slid out of the shell,
    "I did!"
    They looked around, "Who?"
"I think it's a ghost... let's get out of here!"
"I'm not a ghost! Look down!"
They did, and seeing him, they allowed a small laugh of relief,
    "Really? How?"
"Take me to the house, and I'll show you."
They both though it was good idea so..."
Looking over, May saw the little guy had, despite trying so hard to stay awake, fallen asleep. Smiling anew, she cuddled his head,
    "Goodnight, sweetheart."

"Introduce yourself, storyteller," You tell politely.
Hello, my name is Arcanis. You can call me Arcan, or Maddi. Whichever rolls off your tongue the easiest.

Image
"And you, little wonder. What is your name?" You ask the small buttercup-coloured kia.
My name? Oh, I sure do love my name. My name is Len. It comes from the full word, Leonard. Leonard means Lion-strength, or Lion-hearted. Now my name is only Len, not Leonard. I really shouldn't need a nickname.

Image
"It's safe to say sir, correct?" You ask cautiously.
Of course! Len is not a lady's name, you silly! I am indeed a male.

Image
"Now, do you know what song Arcan will be telling today?" You ask, eyes flicking from Arcanis and Len.
Yes. It is one of my favourites. She said it is called 'The warrior who-". There is no ending, you get to fill in and make your own decisions. Like life! That's what Arcan's story taught me. After she told me the story for the first time, I felt stronger. I felt that I could sleep knowing I don't have to have muscles or powers to win. I already am a winner. A true warrior at heart.
Arcan's story wrote:Settle down with me,
Cuddle up, cuddle in.
This is the story of the warrior who was.
The warrior did not fight with his fists or weapons.
He protested, and fought with his words.
All of the other warriors' hearts had turned sickening.
They wanted blood, justice, and revenge.
But the lone warrior's sickly mother reminded him with a sweet lullaby.
"Hush little darling,
Don't say anymore,
Everywhere there is war,
Your heart is the only that remains pure."
'Die a true warrior, not a beast'
The warrior always told himself.
Then one day, he did.
He died gratefully,
and powerfully.
That warrior.
He is the warrior who.

Username: Glacier-Lily, but just call me Lily or Phantom ^^

Kia name: Keriaan, also Keri or Ann. Keriaan means sunshine, joy, cheer ,etc in Indonisian. I think the name suits her because of her yellow splotches on her back and she sky blue eyes that remind me of a sunny day

Gender: She is female

Personality: Keri is a rather quiet kia, not very outgoing or brave. She is neither stupid nor that immature. She puzzles every adult kia she meets, why? Because of her large imagination, she often stares off into space creating universes of her own. Occasionally someone from one of these universes will visit, Keri says. Of course no adult has ever seen one of these 'visitors' but swore they saw a shadow without a body or leaves scuffled up behind invisible running paws. Keri is an eccentric little kia who prefers imaginary friends to real ones.

Bedtime story: When Keri was really young, her mother told her bedtime stories, Keri's favourite was about a dragon named Galaxy, who was very scared of the dark was she was a baby...
Galaxy used to be a grey dragon who was terrified of the dark. She would always make sure she was in her cave and deep beneath a pile of leaves that her mom had once collected for her. One night, Galaxy heard growling near her head. Not knowing if this was a threat or not she raced out of her cave in a blind panic. Once she was outside she had her eyes shut tightly. Suddenly she heard a friends voice in her ear, a blue dragon name to her as Girasol said "Open you're eyes, it's okay" The blue dragon whispered in Galaxy's ears. When Galaxy opened her eyes, she expected everything o be as dark as her cave. But she was greatly surprised to see that the night wasn't just black, but blue, silver and grey, when she saw this, Galaxy realized there was nothing truly dark in the night. That thought filled her with joy and as the stars twinkled and moon shone, Galaxy began to glow as well, and she never had to scared of the dark again
this story told her that not evrything was as dark as it may seem and not to judge someone(or something) before getting to know them (or it)

Hi! My name is Korra! But please call me K-Girl! Well it's time I get to bed before mother gets on to me! Hey can you tell me a bedtime story! I would love it if you would! You will? Thank you so much!! Now let me get comfy!

Ok this story starts in a far away forest past the human community. The story starts with a young wolf name Ruya...

Doesn't that mean dream?

Yes Young one. It does! Anyways, Ruya lived a lonely life. His parents abandoned him and he was raised by foxes. This is very unusual because wolves don't commonly communicate with foxes. But since he had red fur, they took him in as their own. But he couldn't seem to fit in with the others so he left.

I don't ever fit in either... I wish I could run away and never come back.

He went everywhere to find the rightful home but just couldn't find one.

A day without laughter is a day wasted.
~Charlie Chaplin

Image
How nice of you to ask! I'm SenselessHorse, but feel free to call me SH.
SenselessHorse? *giggles* So funny!
Err...yes, I know.

Image
What is your name, now that you know mine?
Risus! Ha, I bet you don't know what that means!
Unfortunately for you I learn Latin. It means laughter, right?
Ughh. I thought you won't know.
So...does your name have any other meaning to it?
Yes! When I was born, my mom loved my bright-colored pelt. When she tried to smooth down my fur, I'd laughed. That's how my name came about!
Sweet!

Image
*coughs* Pardon me if I am wrong. You are a lady, correct?
I'm a girl!! And I thought that was obvious enough! You didn't have to ask! *laughs* And yeah, I know my name is kinda boyish...
I'm a muddlehead. I've got awful eyesight. Awful brains too. And no self-confidence. Sorry!
Hehe. Forgiven.

Image
So, Risus, can you tell me more about yourself?
Of course! Um...*scratches head* What do you want to know?
Your personality?
Sure thing! *laughs* Well, I'm generally very cheerful. And happy! I love laughing and smiling. Don't you think smiling and laughing is great?
Yeah, except when you laugh until your stomach hurts.
Bleh, that means you're really happy then! It doesn't hurt that much anyway. Back to myself! I get overexcited easily. Getting overexcited ties my stomach into knots! Butter starts flying too!
Do you mean butterflies? *stifles giggle*
Yes, I do. Stop laughing! Don't be mean, I'm not that good at words yet. I get upset easily when people irritate or annoy me. I don't think it's nice to be mean. It makes people cry and ruins their day.
I'm so sorry, Risus! Oh, I should be more sensitive next time. I feel terribly guilty now.
Naw, it's okay, really! I don't hold grudges for long. *grins* I think it's a good thing that I'm not really shy. I'm upbeat and outgoing. I will speak out if I want to, but the way other Kiamaras stare at me when I'm speaking...it makes me feel inferior.
Don't worry, honey. You're special. They're just pleased to have such a treasure of a Kiamara among their species!
I...I don't think so. I know I'm weird. I don't grow old. And I know I can be pessimistic sometimes...
What rubbish! You ARE special. Don't ever, ever down yourself.
R-really? Oh, thank you! But I don't quite believe - oh, never mind. Another thing: I'm dreadfully stubborn sometimes, but only when I think my way benefits others. Oh, and I know magic exists!
Yes, it does. That's why we're here. What about your likes and dislikes, Risus?
Well, I have LOTS of likes! Um, your ears would drop off by the time I'm done talking.
It's okay, go on, please!
Okay! For starters, I absolutely love cupcakes. Plain ones, with just a dollop of cream on top. My mom says those caramel-swirl ones match my coat colors. I'd tried them, but ugh, they taste weird! Too overly sweet. I really like it when someone tickles me. It cheers me up and I'll surely laugh!
*tickles* Oh, I love cupcakes too! They're really tasty, right?
*laughs* Stop! STOP! DON'T...! Jeez, that was torture. I love jumping into muddy puddles on rainy days. It cools me down. Hey, have you ever played Mudsykins before? No? How unlucky! I'll teach ya how to play that game when it's raining.
Mudsykins?! Erm, no thanks, I hate mud. So disgusting!
Mud's not icky, it's nice and squishy! I hate hornets, anyway. They do nothing but to sting and kill, kill and sting. That's about the only thing I loathe. I like birds, too, especially parrots. They're so pretty and smart! I love anything that has to do with magic. Bada-bing!!! *brandishes random stick* And you're gone!
Nice. Hi. I'm still here.

Image
Risus, where're your parents?
They abandoned me. I-I don't know. *looks down*
If you don't want to talk about it, it's alright.
No, no, I can talk 'bout it. You see, I was born in a forest. Mom and Dad were happy, really happy to see me at first. You see, Mom had a difficult time giving birth to m-m-me...
Sweetie, don't talk about it if it's too difficult for you.
I'll l-l-live. *deep breath* Anyway, Mom and Dad regarded me as a precious gem. They gave me the best food, the best handmade toys, the best parental love. I thought I was the luckiest Kia in the world.
I see. Go on, please.
Okay. When Mom discovered that I wasn't growing an inch at all, she knew I had the Permenant Puppy Syndrome. She told Dad, and they decided to a-a-abandon me. With me stuck as a puppy forever, I couldn't fulfill their high expectations. I think they left when I was still sleeping. I remember waking up to seeing cold, empty air. I'd lived alone in the forest then, with nothing but a name. Occasionally a few Kiamaras who pitied me brought me scraps of food.
You poor thing! *hugs tightly* And you must've went out exploring. That must be how you ended up in my garden.
Yeah! I'm so lucky to have found you.

It's nighttime, sweetie. You tired?
I am! I am! *yawns* I just can't sleep...I can't!
Shh, Risus, shh. Don't fret. I'll tell you a bedtime story.
Yay! Will it include magic?
You'll know soon. *clears throat* There is a land, shrouded in mist and hidden behind a veil of fog, far beyond the human world. We call it the Hidden Land.

In the Hidden Land, many, many strange hybrids of creatures reside there. Not one animal was pureblooded. Including their ruler, the Domina de Risus.

Lady of Laughter? Is that meeee?
Hush, little one. It's not you. Now, the Domina was extraordinarily beautiful. She had long, brown hair which rippled to her waist, full red lips and delicate features. But the most striking of her features were her eyes, which flickered from gold to blue and blue to silver every minute.
She sounds so pretty! Like a princess...why give her the title of Domina? And not Regina?
You'll find out why she's not fit to be Queen soon. Though the Domina was stunning on the outside, inside she was old and haggard. You see, she was more than a century old! It was the magic of the land that hid her weakness from others, and she deemed herself unfit to be queen.
What! Now she doesn't sound so pretty.
Beauty is only skin deep, Risus. In spite of her terrible secret, she held herself with dignity and honor. She ruled with a heart of pure gold.

But one day, the magic fell off from the land due to an overuse of it. The Domina's true form was revealed to the shocked citizens, and the Domina hid herself with terror, afraid that her exposed secret would start a rebellion.

Gosh! Nooo! Please say there's no rebellion!
*smiles* The citizens of the Hidden Land loved their ruler too much. It was the Domina who led her army against the War de Silentium, and it was her who led them out, victorious. It was her who allowed herself to go hungry during the Great Drought, and gave all her food and water to everyone else. She was like a goddess of life to them.
*eyes pop* The War of Silence sounds so scary!
It's sure scary. During the battle, the enemy soldiers sucked all sound and noise away, to confuse the Domina's army. The Domina had roared in rage, and...you could say her cry of pure fury brought the ferocity of battles back.

The citizens requested with much pleading for their Domina to see them at the castle's balcony, and she agreed, because her love for them was great. Everybody bowed down when she came, smiling bravely. And then, she knew that what she looked like did not matter to her faithful people.

Yaaay! Long live the Domina! *squeals*
And so what did you learn from the story, Risus?
That the Domina de Risus is very good. And kind. And magical!
No, no! That wasn't what I meant. What moral did you learn?
Ummm...you must always be yourself, and that beauty is only skin deep?
Yes! You're so smart. Now, I can only hope you are rewarded with a good night's sleep and new knowledge. 'Night, Risus.
Good night. Thanks for the story! Is the Domina de...*snores softy*
You fell asleep, after all. Questions can wait. Always be yourself, and remember that. *switches off light*
