A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored, neat, and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are mostly gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

This little one comes from an orphanage. They've been there quite some time for a child and while they're a cutie; They're a bigger than a newborn which parents coo and cuddle with. Thus so, he's not the first one they would always pick. Upon meeting this little one you'll realize their vivid imagination. Believing their parents were taken away from them in a sand storm. Having a knack for blown glass. You'd realize several sets of vases that are hand crafted with a faint glowing light. These are apparently his friends and family from the sandstorm, or so he believes but there is no other explanation for the light source. Some beans can see these lights while many can not.

They also speak about a person that would always bring this yearly sandstorm, having to defend the vases each year when the wind blows its worst.

Okay well I'll put it short for you here. His family was lost; assuming they killed by the sandstorm. He's always had the hobby of blowing glass so he made vases and he believes the spirits of his family/friends are in those bottles. Every year there is a harsh sandstorm; which always threatens to take away more friends/break those vases. And basically has been in the orphanage since.

-Must have an adult JBD Unless YFS is the cause, but must still be 17+ in age.
-Doesn't have to be adopted by two parents; Single beans can apply.
-If Adopted by Mates: both should agree. Only one needs to Apply.
-Must Include the Sandstorm past/Blown Glass Vases
-Preferred to be male.
-Open for everyone with the before mentioned restrictions.
-You may pretty up your form
-Extras are allowed

This bean doesn't count towards your breeding limit [6] nor does it affect any breedings in progress.

Altiplano

Username:
    Pocketmouse

Name:
    Altiplano
    This is a high desert-ish plateau. He likes to be called Plano, though.
    here
Gender:
    Male

Age:
    Plano is about eleven, although we don't know his exact birthday.

Parent Applying:
    Starfish
    Starfish is a 25-year-old gal who lives alone. Here

Mate?:(Of applying JBD)
    Nope x,D

His Favorite Game:
    He loves to roleplay. Pretending to be an alpha wolf, a fearless knight, a wizard, or even something like a Pokémon, he goes on great imaginary adventures with himself and his loyal sidekicks/damsels in despair/lab experiment subjects, aka his glass bottle spirits. Sometimes he gets more involved making the props than actually playing the game, though. XD

Why do you think you'll be a good parent?:
    Starfish, a parent? Wow. Weird idea. ono;; But to tell the truth, I do think Starfish would make a good parent... why? Well, she's good with kids, although she doesn't know it, and is a good baker, housekeeper, etc. Even though her agoraphobia prevents her from leaving the house, she's still responsible and would take great care of this little babe. She is rather shy, but really enjoys being with other beans nonetheless and is always quite lonely because of not having many visitors. She is also not the type to disbelieve or put down; she would genuinely believe in Plano's glass bottle spirits and stories.
    However...to tell you the truth.... yes, Starfish would make a good single mom. But I think Plano would also be the perfect child for Starfish. As you've already mentioned, he is especially creative and imaginative, and seems to have been to some interesting places. Star is a girl who longs to see the world, who even before agoraphobia had never seen anywhere beyond her beach, and I think Plano fits the bill perfectly for showing her a bit more of the outside in an innocent way. He could tell her about traveling through the desert, being outside, having friends. He could tell her stories about the desert, about danger, and introduce her to his glass bottle family. If Starfish could bring hope and love into Plano's life, Plano could bring a touch of beauty, maybe, into hers.

Personality:
    This boy is rather withdrawn to most beans, although he really opens up to some. He has a short temper. When he gets angry, he sulks instead of blowing up. He is surprisingly patient for a little bean and can sulk for several days. He is very possessive of his blown-glass vases and anything else he makes, but shows a stunning disregard for most other items, including other beans' valuables. He usually isn't that polite, but isn't rowdy either. He's really awkward around most other beans his own age, and would really prefer to be alone with his glass vases. He likes to think that objects have personalities, and is rather obsessive about "saving" every bit of trash or pebble that appeals to him. He's quite a worrywart as well, although he doesn't like to show it or tell anyone his worries. He's really imaginative and creative, and also --privately-- likes to see others smile.

Art:
Image
    I can't draw with a touchpad, like, at all. Please forgive the crappiness ;n;

I would love to see the way it turns out if Starfish could take this boy home. :> I think there are some really interesting possibilities, and I find it really intriguing how this bean already comes with the two things she needs most, as well as needing a parent/parents. Anyways, this form was so much fun to make ;a; Thanks~

None. :3 She's single.

His Favorite Game:
He absolutely adores a game of riddles. He collects riddles in his book for if he ever meets another bean with the same fascination and wide variety of riddles, that they might have a long game.

Why Do you think You'll be a good parent?:
Blu wrote:Well, for a start, I've always absolutely adored kids! They're so tiny and innocent, and I could just eat them up! Not literally, you know? Like... Metaphorically! Anyway. I'm digressing from the point. I've seen so many happy families, with little beans of their own running about, and I'd love to have at least part of that. To look after a little bean, and to be able to say that he's mine. My little one.

I sometimes take care of Arya, Nixie (my niece), and a few other little ones.
This little one's past makes me so sad, so sorry. I want to give him a loving home, to give him a happy life, to give him the love he needs.

Name:
Sinai

Gender:
Male

Age:
11

Parent Applying:
Bruno

Mate?:(Of applying JBD)
He has none currently.

His Favourite Game:
Although this little bean is very intrigued by Bruno's magic contraptions (electronic games), Sinai much prefers to play something more energetic like freeze tag! Actually, in the desert, when he and his real family got a spare moment, they would all play a desert version of freeze tag and have all kinds of fun.

""Where have you disappeared to?"
Surely to somewhere in this sky..."

Why do you think you'll be a good parent?:

To begin with, Bruno is a big, loving fluff-ball. He's bright and cheerful, but knows how to keep little beans in line without being harsh. Bruno is a sociable and caring bean, and looks out for friends and strangers alike. His love for simple video games makes him very relatable to children, even if he is an adult of 25 years.

Also, Bruno is already a "parent" to his adopted daughter, Momoka. Bruno and Momoka have a special and deep bond, and he will be there for her no matter what happens. He is and will be a supportive father figure. This shows his dedication to the child he adopts - a kid is not just for fun to him. Any younger bean in his care will be well-looked after as if it were his own child, and that includes this one.

Bruno has two other beans to look after as well, Munchie and Kraken, so the new adopted bean would have playmates almost straight away. Although he would be very busy, Bruno can easily take this in his stride and is very used to looking after younger beans. Bruno makes time to look after those three every single day, and cherishes his days with them.

"I'll still watch the sky
I'll watch the sky that you're in."

Extras:

Personality:

Sinai's exterior fools many. It often-times seems as though he is nothing more than a shy, scared little bean that doesn't like to talk about his past. But once you look beyond all of that, all of what he's been through, Sinai is, in reality, a much more animate bean than that.

He really has a passion to help others, and strives to help out with those he cares about. Another common misconception is that he doesn't like sharing his past. Sinai is always happy and willing to explain to others the significance of his blown glass as well as (sometimes) what happened to his family.

Did it hurt him to lose his family/friends? Of course. But Sinai figures that the only way he'll be able to heal is by getting comfortable with what happened and being able to talk about it.
As he always says...

-Story-
The desert was hot, hotter than usual. In the heat-haze, a small family struggled through the blustery sand. The wind picked up, and the two older beans were beginning to show fear.

"Mama," gasped a young bean, of about ten years. "Mama, why's the sand so rough? Why's it whirling around like this?"

She stopped and exchanged a worried look with the father, biting her lip. "The sand sometimes needs to pull its friends from underneath what we walk on, darling."

"Then, Mama, why are we running? The sand is our friend too, right?" The little bean walked on tired paws. She could see that her baby couldn't walk much longer.

"The sand is our friend too, but we might get hurt." She paused to nuzzle her tearful son, then looked up with a gasp. "Ah- " Her eyes searched the whirling sand, but she could not make out the shape she had looked for.

"Mama?" enquired the young bean, fearfully. "Papa was-" He was hushed, and he looked to his mother with tears flowing freely as she stayed silent for a moment.

"He'll appear again if we keep walking. Come on, Sinai," She nudged the younger bean gently. "Let's keep going, darling."

Scared, the little bean followed the shadow of his mother onwards through the desert. Her determined expression kept him trying to keep up as much as he could, but little legs aren't as strong as big ones. In the swirling and moving sand particles of a sandstorm, it's hard to keep an eye on your yellowy-brown son.

Somewhere along the line, he vanished from her side.

She looked for him in the sand. She really did.

But now they were all stranded in the desert, and one little bean couldn't find his mother when the storm passed.

His father wasn't anywhere, either.

And for the first time in his life, Sinai was alone.

....,

Sinai wandered. That was his nature, as a travelling bean, to roam and explore in the lands that were laid out before him - like tracing the lines on a map, except the yellow of the sand was real, the blue of the sea was real, and the green of the grass he'd only heard of in stories was real too. The towns were made of bricks and not lines; as he learned when he stumbled upon the first town of many.

Seeing other beans was like coming into heaven for the younger bean. "Have you seen my parents?" he'd ask, with a scratchy and dry throat. The other beans gave him food, and gave him water, but they couldn't give back his parents. He waited. And waited.

Even though he had no idea if they were coming back, Sinai did wait, and he waited whilst keeping himself useful. He'd help out the market-sellers, by arranging their fruit... until he was falsely chased off for "stealing". He helped out the rug-weavers, until they chased him away for "making a mess." But the job he loved to watch most was the glass-blowers. He'd seen them seem to spin the very essence of life into a round glass ball.

Over time, he was attached to the strange glass shapes. The glass workers always told him it was dangerous, but he knew those vases were special, so special. They seemed to glitter in every light, and they entranced him, like his parents had. Soon, those little trinkets became a large part of his life - as if they contained the very souls of his mother and father. Even the cold glass he curled around at night was a suitable substitute for their missing warmth.

Even though the nights were cold, and the days were harshly hot, the little bean never wanted to give up on his parents. He continued waiting, and asking, and waiting some more. Even he was beginning to give up.

.....

He could never have predicted that day.

He asked a bean that he'd never seen before, a large reddish-white adult who seemed somehow approachable. "Excuse me, sir," he began. The unfamiliar bean looked at Sinai, eyes confused.

"Hi there," responded the bean, to his surprise. Usually, new beans were tourists and wouldn't talk to him.

"H-have you seen..." He faltered, yellow eyes looking into the pale blue of the new bean. "Have you seen my Mama or Papa?"

"What do they look like?" inquired the tourist instantly. Sinai was taken aback. "Where did you last see them? I'll help you look, lil' guy!"

"T-They're big, like you are..." Beginning to feel reassured, the little bean stepped closer into the tourist's shadow. "They know me, I'm Sinai, they're lost."

The unfamiliar bean was already scanning the area, eyes flicking this way and that. "I'm Bruno, nice to meet you! What's your name?"

-Poetry-
Where are you?
Where have you been?
Are you hiding?
Or just blending in?
With the crowd
For I have lost you
And it fills me with doubt
And dread
To not know where you are
Or if I will see you again
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My glass, you see, is the key
The key to them, my family
And friends
but not all can see
The light
Of which I hold tight
That comes from the colorful glass
That I craft
It has such a powerful impact
And I will surely never let them take
my friends, or my family
Away from me
Again
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I may not be small
I may not be "young"
But please keep in mind
I'm a powerful one
And though you can't "play"
Or make coo sounds with me
I'm still a child, a baby bean
I like to have fun
And do many things
So, if you believe
I may be right for you
Then you are right for me

By ~Peacelover

Sand and sand and sand.
In the desert I wander,
now lost and alone

Mother and Father,
where did you go? I need you-
It's lonely out here.

The town is quiet
I make a silent descent
down old staircases.

Mother and Father,
when did you go? In the storm,
my eyes can't see you.

Everyone's asleep
They don't know it yet, but I
am here in the night.

Mother and Father,
why did you go? All I have
left is memories.

Haiku by me

-Why I want him-

Well, when I first saw him, I thought he was an adorable little thing. If I win, I intend to gift him to a close non-owner friend, ~Peacelover, who helped me with certain aspects of this form. (The personality, game, poetry and name.) I think this user would be a wonderful owner for him, as I know they are active and interested in beans. They've worked so hard to win their own bean, they really really deserve to finally own one. I hope that I can help them with that. I know he would be well cared for and loved by them.

His Favorite Game:
    Fax's imagination has no end, he loves creating stories with his friends about everything from amazing creatures to future technology, not just the stereotypical knights and aliens. He just loves to tell them to people and sometimes act them out with his toys. He's very sentimental and will only play this with the people closest to him.
Why Do you think You'll be a good parent?:
    May wrote:Being a parent and having my own family has always been my dream. I know ya'll probably think that's a bit boring and not very adventurous but y'all don't understand. Being a parent is an adventure! What can bring more happiness than having your own little darling to love and cherish, see him get smarter day by day and more adventurous, making friends, having their first crush, growing up right before your very eyes. Everyone says the hardest part of parenthood is letting go but you don't have too, sure I'd obviously let him live his own life but I'd always be there for him no matter what! I know I don't use big fancy words or have myself a fella like some others but he'd be the world to me all the same.

    I'd help him recover from his past but never make him forget. His past helps define who he is, it's where he's come from and what he knows. I wouldn't judge him for a single second because of his past and history and actually (even though he's still a child) I respect the fact that he keeps those vases with him. He talks of the light inside them which I can't see and that they're his loved ones, maybe when he loves me and I love him, I'll be able to see them. Just because he isn't my flesh and blood, I won't love him any less than if he was.

    I'll always have time for him, any place at any time no matter how insignificant whatever he wants my attention for is. I understand what he needs from me, I'll always make him feel important and wanted, even if it just means giving him a special cuddle when he feels down. He'll always be safe and secure. I'll promote him standing up for himself and gaining self-confidence. I would sacrifice anything for him. Now you're probably thinking I seem too confident and don't understand that being a parent isn't all fun and games but trust me, I ensure you I'd look after him through everything.

Fax's Brief Personality:

Shy ♒ Social ♒ Clumsy ♒ Adventurous ♒ Polite ♒ Sweet ♒ Soft ♒ Careless ♒

Adventurous yet shy with sometimes strange ideas, Fax is a sweet little thing. Please and thank yous will never go amiss especially to people he doesn't know very well. He's not loud and obnoxious but still social (mainly with beans his own age) as he loves discovering new things and excitement but doesn't enjoy being unsafe. Responsibility can sometimes lack as he can do some clumsy things when influenced by other beans. A bit of a soft touch, he can sometimes be taken advantage of but is still exceedingly sweet especially around adults and girl beans even though he has very little interest in crushing and things of that nature. Preferring to have a few very close friends he can trust, Fax can be quiet at times but raring to go the next depending on who he's with.

Why I want him:
First off, he is just sensational! The colour scheme is great, it's nice, warm and colourful but doesn't burn your eyes out or distract you. his design/patterns are lovely, they are very unique and catch your eye but they're not unbelievably complex, they're just perfect. I have tried to show the depth of his personality and basically, making everything about him come to life. He would be great with the JBDs that i already own (Azura (Chubacabra and Daniel's bean from NB#10)), Keeper (#362) and May (A RU) as they're so different in personality and looks, i know some great art, stories and other stuff could come out of them together. Speaking of art and stories, I love to do art, I'm great at traditional and I'm ok at digital, hopefully if i win him then my digital skills will progress by me drawing him as she will help me learn about anatomy, shading and all kinds of stuff. I also love to write stories and rp which i do frequently with Azura, Keeper and May. I absolutely adore the personality that i have given him, I think that it suits him very well and I think that they're lots of art and story possibilities. Overall, I just love her to bits and will do anything to win her.

I'm not so active here anymore but I do still return daily even if it doesn't seem like it ^^'' I've made some brilliant friends on the website that I'll never forget even if I've never met you face to face, especially through JBDs. However things have changed over my two years here and I miss what it was like.

Update: How was it been 4 years since I joined?!?
