Hello, and welcome to the JBD Nursery! This is a special place where you can breed your Jellybean Dragons, as long as they are full grown adults, of course.

About JBD Breedings

★ Jellybean Dragons mate for life, so choose your JBD's mate carefully! You won't be able to change it later.
★ Each couple may breed once a month.
★ Each litter usually consists of a single offspring. In rare cases, of two.
★ Identical twins are never born.
★ Make sure the owner of your JBD's mate agrees in breeding the couple.
★ You may breed your own JBDs, as long as they are not related (cousins, siblings, etc.)
★ Must be mates for 6 weeks prior to breeding
★ A JBD must be owned by its owner for at least 2 months before breeding
★ Beans can mate 4 times
★ No third breedings yet

A JBD Cannot Breed If...

★ It has YFS type b or c
★ It is not an adult yet.
★ You do not have permission to breed it with another user's JBD.
★ One of the parents is a nursery bean. They shouldn't be growing that fast. This will likely be removed in the future as it's fine to grow your beans and 3rd generation babies would be really cute, but for now the babies that have been born should be, at most, young teens.

★ Please respect the artists, mini-mods and other users.
★ No bribing, complaining or spamming allowed.
★ Don't steal the species!
★ Take good care of your Jellybean Dragon! If you no longer want it, PM me or the artist who designed it, so someone else can adopt it.
★ Don't eat steal someone else's Jellybean Dragon!
★ You aren't allowed to own more than four.
★ If you are not familiar with JBDs, please head to the JBD Center or JBD Adopts for more information about the species.

The Baby

Once your JBDs' baby hatches, you can:

a) Keep it. If you and another person bred your JBDs, it is up to you to decide who will keep it. Remember, the baby counts in the 4-JBD-limit.
b) Give it for adoption. Hold a contest to find a new owner for the baby.
c) Gift it to someone. You may gift the baby to another user.

Genetics

Your baby bean will look like its parents in one way or another. When you have it grown, it should not be a short furred JBD from two long furred parents. Please keep their genetics semi-realistic.

Tickets

In order to breed your JBDs, fill out your ticket and wait for an artist to open their slots. You may only post a ticket if an artist is open. Check the below posts to make sure they are. This ensures the nursery doesn't get backed up.

I'll be opening my slots periodically, when I have time most likely.
During the summer time (June/July) I'll have them open more often with more free time.
