Her companion would be a tiny parrot, a blue and gold Macaw, that is no bigger than one of her paws. It is a boy, and his name is Puppy.

Why did you choose that companion for him/her?
Well, Sequoia looks like she belongs in a rainforest, and that's where Macaws like Puppy live.

Name: Cherry Blossom
Gender: Female
Companion: Cherry's companion is a humming bird called Bobo
Why did you choose that companion for him/her? It seems to fit her best since Cherry is always got songs in her head, so she starts to hum and so does the bird. Also, Cherry looks very Spring-like and humming birds love Spring because of all the flowers and nectar. c:
How they met their companion:
Cherry Blossom was wandering around the trees, trying to find the tree which she was named after. All of a sudden she heardba cry of help that was faint yet seemed to echo through the meadows. It sounded like it came from a small animal. Most likely a rabbit - or a bird, Cherry thought. When she went looking for the animal, she could not see it. "Hello? Where are you?" She called. Then she heard it again, but much closer. She raced around a corner of tall daffodils. And there it was. Stuck in one of those annoying fly catcher plants! "Help me!" Said the bird, squirming and wriggleing to get out. It was only a matter of time until the fly catcher would finish it's job. Cherry Blossom pryed the powerful jaws of the plant open, the bird managed to wiggle free. It fell and hit the grassy ground in a quiet thump. Cherry observed the bird. "Are you okay?" She asked it. The bird nodded. "I-I think so." It said, shaken up. Cherry took a look at the bird's wounds. "I know a lot about medicine. My grandma used to make them for me if I ever got wounded." Chery said. "You aren't hurt majorly but you do have a few scratches and a bruise." She reported. The bird coughed and sputtered a little. "What's your name?" It asked. Cherry smiled. "My name is Cherry Blossom, but you can call me Cherry." She said. Flapped it's wings to get the dirt off and then sat up. "I'm Bobo." It said. Cherry blinked and smiled - and Bobo smiled right back.

After that, Cherry Blossom fixed up Bobo's wounds with medicine and poulituce. And since then, the two have been the best of friends.

Name: Her full name is Sakura Rio. It means 'Cherry blossom jasmine' I thought it was a beautiful with the two words put together. She doesn't like to be called by her full name, unless needed. Most call her only 'Ri'.

Gender: Female

Companion: A harmless gardener snake, named Isis. She is a safe snake, and you can usually see her roaming around in the garden set up by Ri.

Why did you choose that companion for him/her? I chose Isis to be her companion because of her color scheme and how well they would fit together. Isis is somewhat of a neon green, but a bit darker in color. A snake would be fun to play with - it can wrap around your tail, leg, etc. Isis is gentle due to the quiet and calm nature of gardener snakes, rather than an aggressive rattle snake. The design of Ri is so unique and Isis would work perfectly with her because of how well they blend in to together as a team.

How they met their companion: Ri met her loyal snake when she was in the forest in a blanket of flowers. Ri's mother had always told her to be aware of her surroundings and to be careful around any animal that seemed dangerous. She was laying in the blankets of flowers looking up at the sky feeling the wind lighly twirl her hair and the leaves fall down. She was happy here, it was so beautiful. Suddenly she jerked when she heard a hiss. She had a bad feeling so she got up quickly looking around. A small baby snake slithered out of the flowers next to her. Ri was surprised she wasn't scared of it. She quickly picked it up cradling it in her arms. "A-a snake?" She thought aloud. Her eyes widended feeling a deep sorrow for her. Her mother, where was it? "I'll be your "mother"." She giggled softly petting the scaly skin.
That is how she met Isis. Her mother wasn't too keen on keeping her, but eventually she gave in not minding to much about it. Ri would hate to loose Isis, she is so close to her.

Name:
Lacey -- this kiamara is very delicate looking, and i wanted her name to match. Lacey is a Greek name, derived form Larissa, meaning cheerful
Gender:
a lady, of course!
Companion:
A black and white gypsy vanner horse named Divinity
Image

Why did you choose that companion for him/her?
I wanted something majestic and larger then Lacey to be her companion that would contrast with Lacey's delicate features. At first it was going to be an Arabian horse name Ianthe, but then I decided Divinity would fill the role better; her black and white colors bring out Lacey's green, brown, and pink ones beautifully.
How they met their companion: (optional but gives big bonus)
Rain fell down in cold sheets, obscuring my path of vision. Dark gray clouds covered the sky, so my sense of time was also blurred. Living on a moor was not the funnest thing during a rainstorm, but the bordering woods was territory for a fierce pack of wolves. Besides, my hilly home was quite pleasant when the sun shone, and delicious berries, fruits, and rabbits were abundant.
Unfortunately for me, I have no sense of direction, and finding my way home in a rainstorm? Forget it. It was just as likely for me to grow wings and fly away. Usually when it was about to rain I'd hole up in my den until it passed. Stupid me decided that instead of being safe and dry, I should go and look for food. My belly growled, remanding me of my failure to do so.
I trudged on, my soaking fur plastered to my body, shivers doing nothing to warm my freezing form. My paw caught on a hard object sticking out of the ground and I tumbled forward, falling into some mud and skidding forward. I tried to stand up, my paws slipped in the mud and and fell back down again.
Muddy, wet, and exhausted, I flopped down in the mud and curled up, my small frame trembling. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to sleep, not caring that I would probably get sick from being out in the cold and wet. Besides, there was no possible way to find my home in this nasty weather.
I began drifting out of consciousness, glad to be able to block out the storm with sleep.

---

"Hello? Darling, are you alright? You look dreadful." A soft, lady-like voice brought me to, and I fluttered my eyes open to see a graceful looking mare towering over me. The storm had cleared up, and the sun shone over the horizon. The large mare snorted in relief to see I wasn't dead "You're alive! How wonderful! You see, I came out of my den when the storm stopped, and upon finding you, well, I was very frightened!"
I smiled a little and shakily brought myself to my paws, inspecting where I was. The recognition came as a shock to me- I wasn't even in my moorland anymore, instead found myself in a flat prairie that I thought had been deserted, far from my peaceful home. "Um, I didn't know anyone lived here."

i think i've found my dream kia

Why did you choose that companion for him/her? I chose that animal because, well, can't you just imagine that cuteness? Think about it, a wolf and a Kia, perfect match!
How they met their companion: I gave Cat her wolf, Annalese, to her on her 2nd birthday. I found her on a street corner, and thought she would make a perfect pet. Annalese and Cat go everywhere together, except the toilet.

Name. . . . . .
Treena

Gender. . . . . .
Female

Companion: A small cat named Swamp. Swamp has quite the personality. She is a rough type. Strong, independent and can cause quite a ruckus. Swamp can hold her own and often stubbornly chooses to do her own thing. She loves to have fun, which in her mind is often rough and tumble, getting her into trouble. However, under all of those strong qualities, there is another. She rarely meets others who care about her, so when she met Treena she was amazed that someone would accept her as she did. Treena is now Swamps only true friend. They often travel the forest together. Swamp admires Treena's loyalty and leadership. (Even though she so often rebels against Treena telling her what to do, she loves the fact that she cares so much about her.)
picture of Swamp staring down a duckling
picture of Swamp playing around in a tree

Why did you choose that companion for him/her? Treena looks like she would spend a lot of her time living in the forest. I was thinking of all the creatures she might find around a swamp because it seemed like another place she might go occasionally. Then my imagination went wild creating Swamp!

How they meet their companion:
The Swamp Cat

(WIP this isn't quite finished, but I've been studying really hard for a test and I'm not sure if I am going to be able to finish it in time. Also, I'm sorry if it's too long. I was kind of getting carried away.)

"What, are you crazy!"

"No, I'm going to do it. But I really need you to come with me." Treena determined.

Treena, one of the younger Kiamaras, finally could not stand it anymore. She had had enough. After being teased once again, she had angrily taken up her bullies' halfhearted, teasing and sarcastic challenge. Of course her tormentors figured this could be another thing to hang over her head in teasing. (After all there were only a few foolish Kiamaras who actually dared to do such a thing. Even the bravest didn't dare wander near.)

"You know the stories. What if we never come back alive! Even if you do go it won't stop the teasing. They will just make fun of you for being so ignorant."

"Most of those are only tales that were made to keep little Kiamaras away from danger. We will be careful. All we need to do is get some of the mushroom to prove we were there than we will leave. I promise. Trust me I don't want to be there just as much as anybody, but I can't stand it anymore." said Treena.
...

As Treena and her friend got closer and closer, doubts started to fill their minds. The forest that she had had so many joyous adventures in, seemed to get thicker and thicker, and fog started to appear. There was the swamp. Even at a distance it was starting to give them shudders. Just two stone throws away from the edge of the swamp, Treena's friend stopped behind a tree.

"I don't think I can do this! Please let's go home now." she pleaded.

"I've got to do this. Please stay with me." Treena said with a hint a fright herself.

"I don't know..."

"At lea- at least stay here and keep an eye on me." Treena replied, spotting the mushroom that was unique to this swamp.
She knew this would prove that she had been here. Then they would know she was just as good as the rest of them.

"Alright. But please hurry!"

As Treena cautiously walked towards the small patch of mushrooms a little ways away, she was scared stiff by a small demanding voice.

"Who do you think you are?"

Treena gasped as a dirty, damp looking cat jumped on top of a large rock right in front of her. It had medium matted fur and an authoritative manner. "The Swamp Cat!" Treena thought in terror.

"Who are you and why are you here? You know I have every right to prosecute you for trespassing." the cat threatened.

"I- I- just- wanted to get some of those mushrooms." Treena managed to stammer and squeak out.

"I don't try to steal things from your garden."

"I'm sorry." was all Treena could think to say.

"You're sorry! Ha! Whenever your type comes around here they just take stuff and destroy things." the cat ridiculed.

Still a work in progress ;) Sorry it's a bit messy

Pine
Okay well people usually have what the name actually means, so I'm gonna say what this name means to me.
Where I used to live, pine trees were everywhere. There was a pine tree woods, yards lined with them, they were dotted around our property to. I I guess she reminds of the Pine trees.

Female
Well, she has pinkish feathers so ya, a girl.

A Marten named Birch.

Cuteness
First of her companion is super cute. I couldn't get over how cute she looked! Second if all she was spotted in Washington State which is where I used to live. As for the name, there was an Ocean Bay near where I lived called Birch Bay. So I named her after there.

Image
Pine walks through the woods her head low. It was pouring rain and she had a was all cut up. Lifting her eyes she spots a hollow tree. Sighing with relief, Pine pads into it and basically collapses in side. She quickly falls asleep knowing she might not make it.
~•~•~
"Oh my! Your alive!" a slightly high voice exclaims.
"Ugh." Pine groans lifting her head slightly. As she takes in what was around her, her eyes widen in shock. "Wh-wh-where am I?" She murmurs softly already exhausted from lifting her head.
"Oh my dear, it's a long story. Well lets see. You were alone and then attacked by a bear. Luckily you wandered into my home and I was able to heal you." the creatures replies kindly with a hint if worry.
"Uh-huh." Pine mutters,"but still, where am I?"
"My home. Also known as the Hollow Willow."
"Oh." Pine replies. She stretches out her legs and then attempts to stand. Succeeding, she realizes how big the tree must have been.
"Now my dear, where are you from?" asks the animal which Pune realizes is a Marten.
"Umm...I don't remember. I don't remember what happened. All I know is is that I've been alone almost all my life." Pine replies hesitantly.
"Oh my! That's not good! Here have some fish. I'm Birch by the way." Birch say nudging a leaf full of fish toward Pine. Realizing how ravenous she was, Pine gobbles down the fish.
"Thanks, but I really should be goi-" She starts to say, but Birch cuts her off.
"Nonsense! You are not fit to travel." She states plainly.
"Okay, okay. Can I stay with you then?" Pine ventures to say.
"Yes my dear. It does get lonely around here." Birch says nodding,"One more thing. I'm not actually that old no matter how I sound. I'm actually only 2 years old. My mom taught me a lot."
"Haha I was wondering about that!" She replies laughing. Pine and Birch smile at each other both knowing that this was the beginning of a new and fun life.
