Kat wrote:Guys, I know a few of you are entering for another person.... it's great that you're doing that, but I would really rather you didn't, as I don't know if they want the JMD, or if they'll care for it. I want the person who it's going to to work hard and put their heart into their form, not somebody else. Sorry, and thanks ^^;

Cadmus James Ryker
"Most call me Caddy or Cad, although I prefer Cadmus over all."
Caddy or Cad
"I'm rough, tough, lean and mean!"
Male
"Not to young, and not to old. At least thats what my grandmother told me."
19 human years

"I'm an adventurer, like India Jones mate!"
Cadmus loves to have fun. His favorite place to be is outside hiking, walking, running, swimming, anything. He hates to be stuck inside, and he gets bored very easily when he does. Cadmus places his friends and family high above his own needs, and is always willing to help them out (but he usually isn't as kind to strangers, though he is very respectful). You won't find him much at parties either("They're sooooooo boring, wheres the fun in dancing around like a fool?"). Caddy loves to hang around science conventions on space or astronomy, and he usually considers himself to be a bit of a nerd. He likes to think that without Star Trek or Star Wars, life would be completely meaningless. Caddy, because of his self declared geekdom, doesn't usually talk to girls. He gets along with his 'bros' quite nicely, but as soon as he's introduced to a JMD of the opposite gender, his brain stops working ("That is a lie! I am a smooth talking guy, I can do anything."). Around his family, he's generally a lot more conservative and doesn't usually start babbling on about space and Star Trek. He loves them very much, and knows that they hate to be burdened with his talking. Overall, Cadmus is just here to live life to the fullest, and he's plans on doing that be being outside all the time.
"Home again, home again, jiggity, jig, jog."
Cadmus grew up in a tribe, kind of like the Cherokee here in America, with his mother Kathryn, the tribe healer, his father Langston, the second in command, his younger brother Hugh, and older sister Rimea. Cadmus very much enjoyed the life in the tribe, as his family was rather important and almost everyone in the tribe liked them. The tribe itself was large, taking up several hundred acres of land and it had a population of just over 900. Cadmus and Hugh spent their days playing with the other boys of the village while Rimea helped out her mother with herbs. Caddy stayed in the village until he was 16 (in human years), and then he left to explore the rest of the world. It was then that he met his first and only true love, Lily, while he was traveling to one of the biggest cities in the world (which turned out to not be that big at all). Unfortunately, they weren't able to be together on the account of the fact that Lily was to be married to someone else. Since then, Cadmus has yet to find anyone else, and he has settled in a medium sized town on the coast of a tropical area.
"They mean a lot to me, after all, they are permanent."
Cadmus's markings weren't from battle, or war, or anything violent and unnecessary. In his tribe, when the children become men, they receive markings that signify that they are mature, gaining wisdom, and achieving a new level of consciousness. The age at which the JMD receives their markings is different for every one, Cadmus received his at 15, while his older sister earned hers at the age of 12 (some didn't receive their's until 20). The Elder's of the tribe observe each JMD from the point where they believe they are about to 'grow up', until they are mature. Some say they do this very well and very discreetly, but others, mostly the younger JMD's, think it's pretty obvious when they start to watch them. When they notice this, the JMD's tend to become a little more pompous and arrogant than previously, which they quickly find out doesn't really help them out at all. Cadmus was one of the few JMD's that got his markings on his first observation. He then proceeded to go through a two day long ceremony in which he prayed, meditated, talked with his ancestors, and let his spirit free. The markings are given through a special ritual that includes many tests and trials, and by the end of it, one is able to fully understand themselves a lot better. The markings are also unique, in a sense, they describe the personality of a JMD if one knows how to 'read' them (which is a skill more commonly found in Healers and Prophets).

I, ||TechnoVanGogh||, swear to love and care for this JMD with all my heart. If I do not take care of it, I will give it back to put up for readoption.
I simply love this JMD :3 His design is probably one of the coolest I've seen since I first found these guys, except probably the seasons ones, but those haven't been made yet. This guy is just so... intricate, and absolutely stunning.
DISCLAIMERS
~I worked very hard on this form, please do not steal it!
~All art seen here was made by me, using GIMP, and uploaded with tinypic.com. Do not steal any of it! Also, the designs in the main banner and side banners were based off of JMD #49 (this one), please do not steal Beep Beep Meows design either.

Here is the story:
JMD #49 Short Story
Le awkward anatomy, shading, and design. It was very difficult to get the designs right, and yes, that lumpy gray thing in the bg is supposed to be a mountain.
