He comes from the African Tribe Cirra, a tribe coming from Ethiopia in East Africa.
Why? Because it is a lesser known of the tribes in Ethiopia, from around 50 of them. It would count part of his backstory why he is the only JBD from there.

Adebowale, meaning my crown has come home (yes, this is African, it originates from Western Africa, Yoruba)

Hello! What's that? My name? Well, that's pretty easy right? No? Very well then, I shall make it short. My mother was a shy and timid bean with a warm heart, my father was a warrior, fierce, brave, and honest. One day, he set out to look for some food, it didn't matter what, my family was starving, and my mother had to care for me, as I was still an egg. My mother always called my father, her crown, the jewel of her life. You see, my father had been gone a long, time, and she wondered what had happened to him. The day he came back, tired and bruised, I hatched. My mother said it was to welcome my father back, and named me Adebowale, My crown has come home.

Adebowale came from the Yoruba tribe, hence his name. The Yoruba people had many forms of art, and were compared to the Greeks in thier worship of gods. The Yoruba people have 401 known gods, and often create sculptures of them. The Yoruba tribe seems to have become quite popular in Africa, with many claiming they have Yoruba roots. Thus, Adebowale is quite smart, good with his paws, and is quite religious. He is also proud of his ancestry, and may seem a bit stuck up at times. Like all tribal things, Adebowale is hard working, and works to gain everything he needs.

Adebowale was born into the Yoruba tribe. Hoever, he was born in a secluded area, under the rock overhang of a long dried up river, overshadowed by a large tree. Adebowale is proud of his people, and always is ready with a helping hand, or in this case, paw.

The Yoruba people are a great people, blessed with the gods' good will. We must thank and honor the gods, and we can continue to prosper and grow. We have seen hard times, and times of bounty. This good tribe is the one for all, and they will be here for a long time yet. I am so very proud of my good people, and of course, of the gods that watch over us.

Adebowale always follows the tradition of paying homage to the gods often, through music, dance and art, it is a great celebration and a very old tradition. Adebowale firmly insists upon doing this because of his Yoruba roots, as he is very religious, whith again, at least 401 gods.

If one does not thank the gods, they will cease to help. If you ask for help, yet it does not come, then you did not need thier help. The gods must be respected. The songs of my tribe are passed down from generation to generation, and all traditional songs must be learned to qualify as a maker of music. All the dances must be turned into a strong, everlasting memory, lest clumsy moves disgrace my people. We have a large variety of masks, come in, take a look, and maybe even give to the gods.

Which African tribe did he come from?: Kiffia, it is a long lost tribe (along with the Teneria tribe) of the Ténéré Desert in Nigeria. These ancient tribes have been long forgotten and he comes from them because he wants to keep their traditions and values alive even though no one since has given a thought about them. But otherwise, he is very friendly with all the Nigerian tribes in the area and normally stays with them.
What African custom/tradition does he always follow?: There is a festival of dances that the Hausa people put on, a neighbouring tribe to his. Participants perform tricks and magic, it has been practiced for as long as anyone can remember. Bbwaddene performs magic tricks at the festivals, he knows many tricks. African magic tricks, western magic tricks, ect. and he constantly put on a show for people. He loves to perform them and watch people gape in amazement.

Utulivu is from the Bantu group (a sub group of the Niger-Congo), which means he's Swahili! That means he's mainly a "coast dweller", and he lives in Kenya.

Utulivu loves to practice taarab, which is most typical musical genre of Swahili culture sung in swahili language with melodies and orchestration are of Arab and Indian influence. Why does he? Because he loves music, and he loves the deep emotions in his songs.

What African custom/tradition does he always follow?: he plays an African drum for the dancers. The most significant instrument in African music is the African drum. It expresses the mood of the people and evokes emotion. The beat of the African drum is the “heartbeat of the community” and its rhythm is what holds the dancers together.

Shaka Mondli
Shaka is a famous African warrior from the Zulu tribe. He has a very interesting past. Look him up!
Mondli is a Zulu word for 'the one who feeds.' Shaka (the JBD) is famous for sneaking pieces of animal food into cages in zoos because he loves all animals, above all the hyena and the cheetah.

The Zulu Tribe
Shaka himself was from the Zulu tribe. When Shaka the JBD was born into the Zulu tribe, his parents instantly saw his fighting spirit. I know the Zulu tribe is a typical, obvious choice, but it is even more so for Shaka. He has the obvious makings of a warrior and is obsessed with studying the battle tactics of Shaka and the Great Epic Nanny (I think that's what she was called). His mother was from the Fulani tribe, a nomadic tribe, so I tease him because that's probably where his speed and his wanderlust come from. His father is the dragon with the battle strength and Zulu genes, so I guess Shaka has a pretty even mixture.

Hyena Fighting
Zulu warriors are notorious for their fighting skill, and the most elite have been trained to fight hyenas. The hyena jumps at them, they step to the side, and by pressing a nerve, the hyena is knocked out. The Zulu warriors trained to do this often have pet hyenas or hyenas in the area that they train and fight with, said to be very good for their spirit. Hyenas are also, in some places, said to warn away Tokoloshe, evil spirits that take your soul away. Shaka, although he does not believe in spirits, enjoys the practice.
