His favorite color and Why: Red is his favorite color. You see, when he was younger, and humans still held onto the belief that Zemtris could be used for a renewable source of electricity, he spent his time in a fairly nice field with other Zemtris, including his parents. Daily, a group of people would come out and see if they could entice any electricity at all from the equines. Most of them were fairly nice, and at least weren't scary and mean. However, there was one woman in particular who was very sweet. She was a zoologist in charge of the foals in the small herd. She named all of the foals, including him. Every day, she would bring the foals various treats, ranging from sugar cubes to even orange slices one day. For the most part, though, she brought in simple things like apples and foods popular among horses. Arriba always liked to believe he was her favorite, but can't say for sure this was true. The one thing he remembers most about her was her striking red hair. It was always straight, and it separated her visually from all of the other identical humans. As he grew up, Arriba began to associate red with good things, like little cubes of sweetness and delicious, juicy fruits. That's how it grew to be his favorite color.

His favorite color and Why: Dark, storm grey. He has always been allured to the majestic and powerful essence of storms. He loves the rain, the noise, as well as that feeling you get with being near a storm. He thinks the storm is like him; strong, and powerful, stubborn, here one day, gone the next. He fancies himself as an adventurer, and loves exploring anyplace - from mountains to caves. Another reason about storms is how much they have helped him. Everyone of the few times he was upset, by coincidence, a storm was within a days range, and he would look up to the storm, see its electricity, its vibrancy, its stubbornness and he would tell himself to get up, keep going and it had never failed him since. He thinks that his pattern on himself is like white lightning, crackling away through the darkness of thunder, and the purple is like the bruised clouds usually near the storm.
One of his most fond memories is of his younger sister playing in lavender meadows, and then when the lightning crackled overhead she ran to him, and in a rare spout of gentleness and kindness he told her not to be afraid, to recognise the power of the dark grey mass over head, and recognise the electricity that will always be more powerful then theirs. Then they sat down, side by side, and looked up the majestic god like power over head. She looked nice in the light of the storm, and so did he. His sisters name was kataigida meaning storm and tempest, named after her beautiful dark, storm grey skin.

It wasn't meant to be his favourite memory. Its part of why he likes the colour grey. Because of the coat of his sister, because of the fond memory, because of the colour of the storm they sat through together when they were younger.
