Answer: Winter is his favorite. Why could this be? The coldest of seasons? He loves the way the snow flakes contrast with his darker coat and float down from the clouds that shed them, a work of art everyone in his eyes. How his white stockings and facial markings disappear with the background. Creating his own optical illusions to others. The reflection of his face in the foggy ice and the shimmer of icicles as they hang precariously, clinging to their dripping perch, a challenge to those who dare walk underneath or simply a beauty in the rising sun, as the drip their shedding tears of the melt. The way his legs disappear in the snow, the joy of dashing through it and creating his own snow fall in his flurry of fun. The cold? He doesn't mind, his breath visible is a wonder to him, and the crunch of the snow under his hooves, how could he feel the cold when the white world is lovely wonder. He love to slid down the hills and gallop back up, as if a kid with a sled. When blizzards threaten he doesn't fret, only looking forward to the snow that waits to fall for him. He loves every aspect and is disappointed on the melt of spring that takes his winter wonderland and turns it to mush. He loves the mystery of how the ice sticks to his tongue. And the refreshing winter air as it fills his lungs, or the coldest of water to quench his thirst. The thrill of finding his food in patches beneath the snow, a quest of hide and seek for his survival never bringing him down. The happiness the comes with rolling in the fresh fluffy snow to create a past mark of him being there. or fling the great white stuff at others never gets old for him. the snow leaving his trail for him and others to follow, yet keeping everything quiet. The calm and quietness of it all setting him at ease or preparing him for a surprise attack, it wont matter for he loves it all. Last but not least he loves the northern lights and stars that possibly emerge for viewing at best in the wonderful, chilling winter night skys, even if its in the valley or in the mountains of home.
