A Hazelnut squirrel is a fluzzy, cuddle-able squirrel! They hatch from the hazelnuts that grow on the trees of their habitat, in the many forests around the world.Their diet mainly consists of fruits, nuts and vegetables, with the occasional ladybug or flower. They have soft downy fur, that is thin, feathery and is often easily tangled. Hazelnut Squirrels are often quite happy characters, loving, fun and sometimes extremely noisy. Their average size is that of a normal squirrel, with larger sizes sometimes reaching that of a rabbit and smaller ones only reaching mouse-size.

For the art/story, it must be of the babies with Ice Mint and Frosting. <3
You may do art of this one, or any other the other litter-mates by themselves.

The winners will be decided on effort (not skill of the art or length of the story, ever) and will be announced on the 20th of October.

υṡεɾṉαṃε~

I'm just simple .: fαιℓ ιи ℓσνє :. Okay..Maybe not so simple. But, if you would like, you can just call me, plain and simple, Fail. It's easier for both people to remember and it takes about two seconds to type. Why I chose my name to be .: fαιℓ ιи ℓσνє :. Exactly? It's not that long of a story, so don't worry, It won't burn your eye balls out.

I really chose my username from my friend constantly bugging me about. "Hey, change your username!" "Oh, you know that username's getting old" Yadda, yadda, yadda. It's a little joke between the two of us. I brought a shirt from whatever store it was and it clearly said on the front Fall In Love. So, I wear it to school the next day, you know, finding it cute and all. So I walk up to my friend in the courtyard and she squints at my shirt and says: "Fail In Love? HA! That's exactly right!" I wasn't very amused with that statement. I mean, it's not that hard to see that it says FALL in love. So we had a contest the whole day on how many people thought it said Fail In Love. Lemme tell you, The odds were not in my favor at the end of the day. Alas, my two friends still tease me about it t this day, though it's gotten a bit old by now. So, once this is done and over and separated by a few months, my friends starts pestering me that it would be a GREAT username. So, after a few 'no's I give it a little thought and change it, thinking i'll have for a few days. But, I fell in love with it and it's now probably my permanent username. Hope the little back story wasn't completely boring to read.

ώhατ'ṡ hεɾ ṉαṃε ṉøώ?~

This lovely little baby girl's name is Winter Breeze. I was originally going to name her Thin Mint, but then this beautiful name popped into my head and I knew it was perfect for her. Winter Breeze fits the silver and minty green colors she has. Also, the way her silver markings fade out into the white remind me of freshly fallen snow on a cold morning. I only see a few days like that living where I live in the Southern U.S, so to see something as breath takingly gorgeous like this makes me feel that I have that same scene outside of my window every day. <3 Her minty green, wave like patterns seem to remind me of the sweetest, coolest candy and the windiest, nicest day out on the beach all in one. An odd combination, correct? Well not to me. For me, the combination of sweet candy and a nice day on the beach is the description of a perfect, care-free day. Just imagine; The salt water spraying waves washing across the white sand every few moments, the cool breeze keeping you cool and making your hair blow around your shoulders in the slightest of ways. To pop a piece of sweet, minty piece of candy in your mouth as well? Just. Paradise.

Polite~
Winter is probably one of the most polite Hazelnut Squirrels you will ever get the pleasure of meeting. She has that sort of glow that shows through her eyes and all over her face that just lets someone know that she could lend a helping hand and be there for absolutely anyone that needed it. It just comes naturally to her, to be nice. It's something that should come natural to everyone; Squirrels and people alike. It would make this world run so much better and we wouldn't have to dwell on some of the bad things so much. We could worry about helping others through the bad times and relying on others to help you in return. That's the way Winter really does see the world. She imagines that everyone is nice and wouldn't hurt a fly. She's just so innocent and unknowing that the poor little thing could get hurt one day. She's already been taken advantage of because she's so nice, people just think that hurting her is actually okay for someone to do to another.

Insecure~
Winter's hasn't really had much time to grow up and develop herself yet, so she's really only had her mother and older sister to look up to in means of fashion and looks. Though, her own mental awareness of herself never really led her to think she was pretty or beautiful at all, let alone help her at all with her style. Winter's sibling just watched her when It was needed and then disappeared when they didn't have to. Or, from what she payed attention to. I guess that's really what led her to think that she wasn't pretty, seeing as she had never been told that she was. Since she looks an awful lot like her older siblings with the way their pelts both have similar patterns, just different colors, she decided to wear her own fur like some of the other more popular squirrels around. So, all in all, she really didn't need another figure to tell her how to dress, but it would've helped seeing as she only started wearing her fur like that a little while ago. But she does need someone to tell her she's pretty, whether she believes that certain person or not. It may take her a little while to warm up to the given person who said it, and eventually give the comment a bit of thought, but she appreciates it either way.

Shy at first~
No matter how playful and childish Winter is overall, she can still be one of the shyest squirrels around when you first get to meeting her. And Winter can be quite the shy type of Squirrel at the worst of times. For instance, she'll be meeting new Hazelnut Squirrels and look like the happiest one there, but she'll stick around the edges of the group and just keep her beautiful little voice down. She doesn't like people to judge her whether it's good or not. She's honestly too afraid to see if they would say something terribly mean about her. She also seems to have her light pink blush whenever she's acting like her shy self. I personally find it just adorable. <3 I mean, who doesn't love that face? And to top it off, a cute little blush? Just irresistible. But if you tell her that it just makes her blush deeper and look down at her paws.

Story: Gummy sat up and bared her small white front teeth at her sister, it was only a play snarl but still it was the meanest play snarl she could do. Her sister, blinking in amusement at Gummy’s attempt at being either mean or scary, took no time to prepare herself before pouncing on her white a green sister. With a thud Gummy fell onto her back, giggling but complaining all the same.

Their brother couldn’t help but turn and look as the two of them rolled backwards down the slope leading from the mouth of the hollow. “Shhh,” He called out, his voice just over a whisper as the pair continued to roll over the slight mounds of patchy grass. “You’ll wake mummy!” there was no answer just another crash like noise as the slope finally flatted out again.
