Lion Dragon Name: Hemlock
Art -or- Story: The world was silent around around him. The silence was almost deafening, it hurt so much. He felt so alone in this forest trap. The lion dragon wandered back and forth, fearful to leave the place he made his temporary home. Why wasn't he still by the side of his beloved humans? That question had no true answer. They didn't want him anymore. He was abandon by the ones he loved and left to die by himself. The woods were like a trap to him, he could go in but couldn't find his way out.
His bones were very obvious in the midday light. He sighed and flopped down between the roots of a large hemlock tree and closed his eyes. His hunger made sleep hard to come by but he forced himself to rest. Finally his eyes shut and he fell into a very light, disturbed sleep.
Hours had past until he opened his eyes drowsily. He looked around, confused. The sun was setting in the sky and realization hit him. There, standing right before him was a human. Not his human, instead a human he had never met before but it was a human nonetheless. She was petting him lovingly and he let out a little purr of delight, glad not to be alone again.
She got up and he followed her, wagging his tail. "Do you want to come with me?" She asked him, her voice very soft and loving. He let out a yip and thumped his tail as a yes and raced after her. "I'm gonna call you Hemlock 'cause you were sleeping by one. Do you like that?" She asked him and he smiled. The lion dragon, now going by the now going by the name of "Hemlock" followed her joyously.
(Ugh... lazy story is very lazy. Sorry.)
Why you want him: I want him because he is beautiful. The markings remind me so much of some sort of a pretty, earthy scenery. I think he would make a great addition to my characters and I'd love to do art of him (once my java finally starts working again ._.).
"You shout it out,
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium"

Lion Dragon name;
Cappuccino
{{Thought of the name, and it felt like it fit. Now I can't think of anything else for him, so I'll just go with what feels right. <3}}
Nickname(s);
Cap or Cappa.
{{He likes to be called Cap the best. No one really knows why.
Personality;
Cappuccino has a very easy going and relatively happy personality. He enjoys his life to the fullest. Cap will go very far to meet new people, leaving a household and walking down the street if he feels like it will help him make new friends. He isn't the bubbliest Lion Dragon around. He's more laid back, despite his eagerness to meet new folks. Cap will go to the ends of the earth if he has a friend in need of help. He wouldn't want to lose anyone he has met in his life, and is always there to give a paw to someone who needs it.
{{Breakdown of personality traits; easy going, friendly, adventurous, happy, laid back, affectionate.
By Me.
Likes;
-Friends-
Cap loves having friends and being around with them. He finds them an adventure in themselves, and making new ones is a challenge he wants to face, every day of his life.
-Cappuccinos-
Like his name, Cappuccino loves... Cappuccinos! He adores the drink, and finds it a delicacy even compared to all types of food. If Cap can get his paws on a cappuccino, he happily sucks the cup dry. He rarely gets or finds one, though, so they are considered a special treat.
-Exploring-
Cap prefers to explore his neighborhood rather than sit in the house. If he can get out, he will, and he happily takes a look around and greets others. But he never goes beyond the neighborhood, into the unknown. Not yet anyway.
Dislikes;
-Boredom-
Cap hates being bored. Detests it, despises it, will not stand for it. He can be impatient if he is very bored, and is more likely to find something to do if he has nothing else.
Art -or- Story;
By Me
Cappuccino sighed, turning circles in the yard of his household and watching the street outside the fence that contained the contents of the outdoor area. The garden in the corner was fresh and untouched, as usual, and a few items to play with lay all over the place, but Cap touched none of them. He wasn't interested in them at the moment, they were more annoying than anything. Laying down near the back door and tapping his tail against the ground impatiently, Cappuccino knew exactly what he wanted to do. He wanted to be out, on the street, exploring and playing around and meeting new people, and his patience with his owner was starting to wear thin.
Standing again, Cappuccino decided that waiting was no good. He would get out on his own, as he had done a few times before, and then he'd be allowed to adventure for as long as possible, if he made sure to be home before the car arrived and the humans were back. Taking a look at the fence, Cap's long, luxurious tail flicked, and he took a running leap. Gripping the fence as well as he could, Cap clambered up the partially rusted chain links, using the open mesh to catch his toes and get up the fence. After some struggle and working, he jumped down to the other side, out of the yard and into the 'unknown'.
Trotting away from his yard and his home, Cappa seemed glad to be out of the fenced in area and able to stretch his legs. He purred somewhat, tail swinging side to side, as he toddled down the street calmly and happily, looking for something to really do. The neighborhood was calm this time of day. Kids were in school, most adults at work, and other animals and pets were in the house looking out. Sometimes you would see the occasional older folk, but otherwise the streets were perfectly serene. Cappuccino did his best to be interested and find curious things in the neighborhood, but even he was quite bored with the quiet. While he wasn't exactly looking for trouble, he was looking for something to do at least.
As he walked along the streets, traversing the area in search of a new friend or anything really, Cap heard a shuffling noise, like that of grass parting beneath eager paws. Tilting his head towards the sound, he spotted a pet dog, behind its own fence in its own yard, watching him with its tail wagging. Someone new, this was, and Cap took the opportunity immediately. He wandered towards the fence, greeting the dog with his tail erect in curiosity, perking his furry ears and looking them over. The dog gave a friendly sniff, doing the same to Cap. The two were unable to exchange any words, but instead got along great otherwise. Cappuccino climbed the fence, although scaling the white picket was harder than chainlink.
Pouncing down in the dog's yard, Cap greeted his new friend more up close. After several rather tense moments, where the dog didn't seem to be sure what to think, the animal suddenly snatched up his ball and playfully positioning himself, wagging his butt in the air with sudden eagerness. Cappuccino took up the play immediately, entertaining his new friend excitedly and wasting away the boring hours with fun games and the sort. Nothing else seemed to be important as they romped through the dog's yard with that air of happiness that comes when two friends greatly enjoy each other's company, a never ending cycle of hilarity for the pair.
Cap didn't seem to realize how late it had become while playing with his friend. As he pulled vigorously on a rope toy, he looked over to see a very familiar car drive by. His owner's car. The humans were getting home. Cap dropped the toy, surprising the dog, who looked at what he was watching. Frantically, he started climbing the fence again. The dog was confused, and gave a cry as Cap dropped off outside of it. Cap looked back, flicking his tail. I will be back. he was trying to say. The dog watched him take off in pursuit of the car, sadly, but understanding.
Despite the great tiredness Cappuccino felt from the intense play with his pal, he ran as fast as he could, trying to beat out the car as it moved tantalizingly slowly down the street, almost mocking him to catch up and get past it. He took shortcuts and cut through front yards and did everything he could to pass the car. But it seemed too late. As he arrived at the house, he could see the people exiting the vehicle's warm interior, the chatter of their voices leaving a small echo in the air. He quickly ran past the car, after they had gone inside, and clambered the fence, getting back in the yard in the nick of time. He panted, flopping down on the ground, as one of the humans looked out at him. He recognized a few of their words.
"Weird. He tired himself out all alone."
Why you want him;
I have to say, this species is really a beautiful one. I admire their attributes and the idea behind them especially.
But this guy is just absolutely beautiful. I'm in love with his natural design and the deer based coat. It looks gorgeous on him. I didn't imagine that I'd be able to be so infatuated with a Lion Dragon so quickly, I thought it would take longer, and yet here is the perfect boy for a first go. <3 I'd love a chance to own this guy, as one of the species, and to give him a home he properly deserves. c:

(Drawn by me, Astaroth)
Tom is more of the adventurous type, but stays only in the woods where his cabin stands. He's been helping any old stranger who walked past his home, whether they are in danger or just lost in the dense forest. Of course, Tom couldn't blame the. He himself gets lost in these woods more often than never, and he lives here!
Only few really go out of their way to go see Uncle Tom, because some of the more civilized of his kind saw him as nothing more but a crazy hermit. In all actuality, he's not too crazy. To be quite honest, he's quite comfortable out in the woods some people just don't want to enter. He doesn't quite get why they're so scared of these woods. Nothing has ever threatened him besides the grizzlies that sat on his porch every now and then. But then again, he's scarcely home due to his adventuring and getting hopelessly lost.
Normally, folks just don't want to spend the time listening to his little tales about his adventures. At times they seemed quite repetitive, but those who go out of their way just to see him really like his stories, which confuses people even more! Ugh, they wonder what has gotten into the little heads of their children sometimes.
But, in all actuality, Tom's not one to hurt anyone or anything he comes by. Sometimes, he just likes to fish at the river, using his big paws to swat salmon right out of the water and next to his hind feet. Yes, this Lion Dragon eats fish. He finds it to be too much of a hassle to go chasing after deer for a quick snack.
Laid back, relaxed, and enjoying life is all Tom really cares about. This and nothing more.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I saw these little guys while searching through the Jelly Bean Dragons, I quickly threw aside the JBD I was working on and looked over the Lion Dragons. My goal is to have at least one of these precious, little jewels and that is all. I couldn't ask for any other but this one. I know chances are I am probably late or I just didn't make my form that appealing, but I won't stop making forms until I have one!
To the person who makes these lovely Lion Dragons: I thank you. I find these guys to be much more unique over the JBDs (no offense). But, I'm hoping I can own one of these sweet little creatures, call it my initial mascot for everything, and enjoy my time on Chicken Smoothie being one for the Lion Dragons.
