Name:
Aelita
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Aelita is a curious individual who really hasn't had much experience with other beings, sentient or otherwise. She's generally found wandering around the treelines or down by shores, taking in what she can and learning as she goes. Her experiments often fail in some humorous way, but it's just her process. See, think, experiment, and quite usually run. She is the science-type and loves setting up and performing various experiments combining different natural chemicals alongside many plants and herbs to get different results, but those are a whole other story altogether.
Story:
It was one late november day that Aelita had been gathering her food cache for the winter. Though she didn't hibernate like many of the woodland creatures around her, she preferred to stay inside during the colder months. She didn't like venturing out into that cold unless she absolutely had to. She had been gathering herbs and spices for over a month now and was about to do the very same thing tonight when she came across it. It wasn't much, only an inch or two tall and had a bit of a rounded top. The stalk was rather thin, lanky to be frank. She stepped closer, wondering what this strange thing was when all of a sudden the most curious thing happened...it began to glow. The second moonlight hit the top of this strange mushroom, it started to glow an extremely faint shade of blue. It truly was intriguing, this little fungus. She picked it and stuck it in her basket with a rather large grin, taking it back to her den for further examination and possibly experimentation. Hopefully this one didn't mutate. She made her way back to her small alcove hidden within the denser part of the forest, not many of those two-legged walkers got through this far so it made a rather safe haven for her. She placed her basket down on the ground and padded inside, it wasn't the warmest place in the world but it kept the wet out and that's what mattered.

Shortly after letting herself unwind for a bit, Aelita decided that it was time for her to get her things unpacked and into her cache. She moved to retrieve her small basket, putting everything away in the small dug out holes that she liked to call shelves, it kept her things organized...more or less. Well, no..it didn't, the "shelves" just kept her things off the floor. There were items and other oddities crammed into holes that didn't even match their shapes or sizes, she was a bit too lazy to organize with that much effort. Just as long as it was off the ground. She nodded with pride at her work, pretending that she didn't see that small turnip fall out of it's hole. Nope. That turnip doesn't even exist anymore. She winced a bit before rushing over to pick it up and find a new hole to stuff it into. She was a bit of a hoarder and loved to grab anything interesting, like that mushroom from earlier. Though, she didn't know what she was going to do with it other than use it for some form of lighting indoor, that would work.She gingerly rolled the mushroom from it's spot on her floor to a rather small hole she dug and tried to angle it into place. After a great deal of struggle that left her a great deal more frustrated than anything, Aelita had finally managed to get the silly little fungus into place. She sat back and smiled with pride as she nudged it which agitated it's strange mechanics once more causing it to glow, illuminating her small alcove in a soothing blue light. Experimentation could wait, right now...she just liked being able to see in her own den finally. She dragged herself to a small padded corner at the further end of the alcove where it was a few degrees warmer than the rest and curled up slowly. She rested her head on her two front paws and smiled at the glowing mushroom once more, letting her tired eyes finally close and send her into a peaceful slumber 'til the following morning.

Alright I'm using a new name,

Name: Ominakna
Gender: Female
Personality: Brave, Serious, Ominakna has a way of hiding her feelings, she can be perfectly content when sad, neutral when exited, and so on and so forth. This might be because of her past, but who knows?
Story:

A rather small Jelly Bean Dragon awakens under an oak tree, soft and warm curled up against her mother, the array of dancing shadows making her small deep sapphires of eyes gleam. Her mother nuzzles her in the heat of the day, the tiny dragon doesn't hesitate to return it. She then rolls lazily out of her mothers fore-arms which were stretched comfortably in front of her. The small dragon gets to her feet, eyes darting around to see the shimmering eyes of a dragonfly. She chases it, zig-zaging in the carelessness of youth into other members of the Jam. The mother begins to get anxious. Her daughter is missing and a curios smell is in the air. The puffy cotton-candy clouds had swiftly turns into blackened omonus clouds. The young JBD caught up with the dragonfly. With an estatic leap, she misses it by a hair. She turns around, the tiny dragon was no longer in the clearing...

DUHDUH DUH idk... I have go to bed, I'll finish it later.

As we grow up, we realize it's less important to have lots of friends, but more important to have real ones.

Image

Full Name ;; Alexandra Miller
Nickname ;; Alex, Zandra
Gender ;; Female
Age ;; 20
Birthday ;; July 4, 1993
Size ;; German Sheperd

Story ;;
Crunch, snap. The leaves under Alexandra's feet made the soothing, peaceful noise that she had loved ever since she was a little JBD. She smiled under her breath and closed her eyes. Nature was so calming and she couldn't have found a better way to spend the bright, summer day. Suddenly, the leaves stopped crunching and she no longer felt them under her feet. She opened her eyes and saw toppled over golden brick buildings, and when she took a closer look she realized that there were markings all over the wall [which she later found out were hieroglyphs]. She studied it, interested in every part. "Too bad I can't actually read what it says." she mumbled, under her breath. She decided to remember this spot and come back to it someday, when she had learned more about it. She ate lunch there, thinking about the writing and all of what she could learn from it. When she finished eating, she left remembering certain things to help her mark the place in her head. Later that evening, her friend Rascal came over, who was a Raccoon. She often let him tag along when she traveled for the day, but she didn’t think she could tolerate his high energy and enthusiasm overnight. They laughed and had a great time, and Alex made sure to tell him all about ‘The Mystery Wall’. He seemed so interested that she decided to let him come around town with her tomorrow, to hopefully find out more about the writing.

The next day, Zandra woke up to the sound of Rascal screaming “Alexxxxxx let’s go! I really want to see the Mystery Wall!” All she could think was “Why the heck did I tell him he could come?” She moaned and got up. When she reached the source of her unenjoyable wakeup call, she motioned for him to follow her into town. She didn’t talk much as they walked, she was too tired and felt lazy. Though, the thought of the wall did awaken her slightly from excitement, talking to Rascal was not something she wanted to do. As they neared town, Alexandra went over some ground rules. “Do not, and I mean DO NOT, interrupt me. I’m asking important questions that I need answers to.” Rascal nodded, happy to be a part of the ‘discovery’ process. They walked into town and strutted importantly into Kiome’s Antique Shop, where Kiome the deer lived and sold old artifacts. “Hello, Kiome.” Alex began. “I need some help discovering something, would you care for an adventure today?” Kiome eagerly nodded and closed her shop, ready to tag along with Alex. “Now, just yesterday, I was taking a walk and I found some broken down, golden – bricked walls. They appear to have some kind of writing on them, and I’ve been waiting to see if anybody would know.” As she explained the walls, once more, to Kiome, her face lit up. Finally, the walls appeared beautifully at the end of the path. Kiome stood wide eyed and happily ran towards the walls, looking over at the text and reading it to herself, her accent growing louder and thicker as she spoke. “ALEX!” she yelled. “You’ve discovered HISTORY!” She smiled broadly. “This dates back to before modern civilization, before our great grannies were born!” She laughed and grabbed Alex’s arm, dragging her to the walls. Rascal tagged behind. As Alex studied the walls, she realized it was true. Everything that Kiome was translating to her was from an old history book she’d once read. They gathered old pieces of the wall and took it with them back to town. One of the parts Alex had found symbolized ‘Peace’. She hung that on the wall of her hut. The rest went to Kiome’s Antique shop, where Alex had decided to visit more often. She could only imagine the things that her and Kiome could discover as a team, with Rascal tagging along of course. <3

Rain hit his nose as he woke from a nap. "Who is there?" he called from a ally. It was just a small dog eating some fish from a dumpster. He yawned and got up to run about and do what any stray would do. wip

Name: Gwendolyn
Gender: Female
Personality: Gwendolyn is a adventuress sort. She loves to go hiking or swimming or just learn something new. She is a great smack talker and doesn't mind getting into a fight. Her mouth often gets her in trouble but she usually slacks off and doesn't care. If any of her friends are being picked on you can count on her to go on the defensive though. She doesn't get lonely very easily sometimes she will even go off for months at a time. Gwendolyn can be mean but don't let that fool you.
Story: (under 800 words please; after 800 words I will stop reading)
Gwendolyn laughed, "This is so great!" she said aloud. Under her were clouds hundreds of clouds, it felt as if she could just jump off and land in a big, soft, comfy cushion. Under her gray paws was a glistening white substance, snow. 'Its nice up here, no one to tell me I did something wrong or telling me to stop talking.' She sighed the audible sound traveling a tiny bit in the frigid air before disappearing into the dense atmosphere. Her light blue eyes glistened with excitement as she thought of the journey back down. It took three days for her to get up. Three marvelous days all tasting of adventure.
Suddenly it felt as if her life cracked, her paw slipped again. 'I'm not going to scream' ,she thought, 'I don't want to spend my last minutes looking like a sissy JBD.' Gwendolyn prepared herself to be crushed by the unforgiving mountain. As she slipped once more a strange thing happened, a paw reached down and grabbed her. "I could've saved myself," she huffed, "If you hadn't butted in."
"OK then I'll just put you back where you were then." A strange male JBD voice said. The other JBD was Teal with black markings. (I made him up if that's OK) He laughed "My name is Conner. You?"
Gwendolyn huffed, "Gwendolyn," she said. "Are you here to pick a fight? Cause if you are I'm ready." She got into a fighting stance that she taught herself.
"Woah, I'm not here for a fight I'm just an adventurer like yourself." he calmly explained.
"OK I guess that explains the whole mountain thing. We sound a lot alike."
Conner replied, "That we do," and winked.
Gwendolyn was taken aback did he just wink! "Wanna be friends?" she asked.
He looked up at her strangely "I've never had a friend before," he said.
"Neither have I," and together they treked down the mountain. Not paw in paw because that would probably get them in to many accidents. I probably shouldn't mention the basilisk it would ruin the happy ending. Oops too late.

name:

Atticus

gender:
male

personality:
perfectionist;
Atticus is, without a doubt, a perfectionist. If something is not just so, he will go to extreme lengths to correct it. An ink smudge on a page is his nemesis. They are quite the pain to remove from a page of paper and they ruin the perfect, crisp white of it and take away from the beauty of his writing. Improper grammar is, also, a major pain in his side. It can be borderline obsessive, yet he does try to let a lot slip past in day to day conversation.

passionate;
Judging by his perfectionist attitude to his work, Atticus is without a doubt passionate about what he does, and not only with his writing. Once he sets himself a task, he will work hard and strive to do what he was to. If he keeps a promise, he will keep it and continue on with his dedication to that person.

shy;
You may not expect this of him, but Atticus is quite the shy character. A lady's attention will make him reel and blush, and a friend's kind words may even make him back up and babble and stammer out his usually fluid words. He is working hard to overcome this aspect of his personality, and with the right friends, he may just open up in the right ways to the world with more than his poems as a way of telling his stories.

creative;
This dragon's strength is the power of his imagination, and he adores it. Give him a rose and he will sing a song of its creation. Mention a verb and he will use it to its full potential. He loves to create works about... Well, just about anything!

strong;
Whilst he may be the shy sort, he is a very strong dragon. Faced with a problem, he will rarely give up in the face of it. It is a trait that is very sought-after in many.

Atticus' favourite place: wrote:The safest haven.

story:
What was it that you were asking of me, little one? A story? My story is not one of joy nor is it one of despair. It cannot all be told in a day, nor a night. My life is poetry in motion, my dearest little friend. Poetry is the very fibre of our beings.

Yet, perhaps I can spare a tale or two. That first encounter with the written word was like fate.

As a youngster, I strived for perfection. As the youngest of three, my elder siblings were the focus of my parents' attention. To gain the affection I sought, I tried to find my talent that would set me out from the crowd. Others took to the thrill of sport, stormed to the forefront of the world, yet where did that leave me? The youngster without a talent, seeking his heart's true calling?

Mother sang to me one night as I would cry to her. I listened to the soothing melody of her voice and the precious words that dripped from her tongue like a bee's sweet honey.
"Mother, how do you know so many songs?" I asked her, tucked into her warm pouch as she stroked between my ears, smiling with the warmth of the sun upon me. I would feel safe with her, heartbeat soothing my tired little body and fill my heart with hope.
"My child, Atticus," she would coo, "you must only sing from your heart. If you listen, the words will find you."

'Sing from your heart.' Those words have not left me since that night. My mother is long gone, but the lessons she taught to me and my siblings are still relevant to my development. If it had not been for her, I would perhaps not be here where I am today. I listen to my heart, my inspiration and my muse.

Her songs live on through me. Perhaps they are what I am famed most for in this small world. I discovered that I held the ability to write fluidly at a young age. I would delve into the hidden realms in my own mind and play with the creatures that roamed free in the fields of the imagination. They would call to me and tell me their stories. I would write their tales and expose their fears through words.

I had a talent for the written word; for poetry and song. My mother's songs are the most famous of my collection of written works. They tell the tales of our proud history and the heartbreak of the lands once ours. Many have been transformed by the introduction of music. Famed musicians come to me, ask me to write for them. I say yes, because I want to give my gift to this world. I want to reach out even further and tell the world of my mother's songs. Perhaps one day I will stop writing.

Might I laugh just this once? Ahah. My writing is my passion, dear one. As long as the spirit of life flows through my veins, words will flow from my pen. You may call it a magic of sorts. Words possess the ability to render a dragon speechless, bring them to tears, make their hearts soar; very little other mediums can do that to one's self. A crowd may gather to hear me speak my collections. I can see the way their mouths curve into smiles as I reach their hearts. This is what I have always wanted, this is my heart's one true desire. I have found it.

I live to write, and this tale is one of many.

thank you for reading! wrote:Image

motivation for application:
I know this section is not needed, but I felt that I should explain my reasoning for wanting to finally apply for this boy. I have yet to be able to adopt a JBD, and writing has always been a love of mine. A writing-oriented jelly seemed like a dream that was too good to be true!
He would be incredibly fun to play with, and to be able to develop more. This would not be his only insight into the world, as he would be introduced to his jellybean friends in the community and he would be a focus of my stories and writing for some time to come. Atticus is a name that is dear to my heart as it is from my favourite novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, and is the name of my favourite character in literature today. To give him this name felt so natural to me, and his beautiful patterning is just... Oh, it's just wonderful! It reminds me of the monochrome feel of an old movie, as is the movie adaptation of the novel.
All in all, he just seems like such a darling, and I had to try and bring him into my life. He already feels like such a dear to me, I hope he can come home soon. And be smothered in love and stories and art. <3

Topaz

Image
- Thank you I m m o r t a l -

Name: Topaz

Topaz meanings blue gemstone in Latin. You pronounce it as toh-paz. I chose this name because it reminds me of gemstone from the style of the design. I also chose it because his eye reminds me of the gemstone as it is 'blue'.

Gender:
Male

Personality
- shy
- adventurous
- strong
- helpful
- creative
- friendly

Story

(Sorry its very long, but I love writing story's and like to keep going on with it...)

When Topaz first opened his eyes to the world, he saw his life in his first blink. He looked around and stared at the strange things that would soon be know as home. His mother lick him on the head and said calmly "Welcome to the world, my little one, you have many things to learn about." He glanced up at her with his blue eyes with a twinkle in his eyes as he gave her a little smile. His mother first guided him to learn how to find his feet. In no time, Topaz was soon standing on the soft grass. He felt the breeze of the cool air as it shifted through his fur. Topaz father died before he was born so his mother taught him everything about the life of a Jellybean Dragon. She taught him the life cycle of living things, called the circle of life. She taught him the things to observe with the risks and the dangers. Everything his mother explained, he repeated in his head never missing out a word. When he was by himself, without his mother guidance, he was mostly off exploring the wonders of the world, finding out what other creatures and things lived along with his kind. He never really played with the other young dragons and was mostly discovering new things. He secretly collected things amongst his findings, and at night, he would study them while everyone was asleep. He always wondered that the world a interesting but funny place and hoped to discover more wonderful findings. Sadly, at the age of 17 years of age, his mother came down with the a cause of a unknown illness. Many of the other dragons tried to help her, but they all failed with there attempts to save her life.

As the years pasted by, Topaz was growing into a strong dragon everyday. He was now 21 Dragon years old. His mother was still alive, but was getting worse. No one could do anything. The wise, old dragon predict that she didn't have much long to live. Topaz was devastated and very upset with the bad news. He walked slowly up to the cosy den where his mother was laying. Tears dripped down her face as she saw him walk in. He laid down beside her and whispered "Your going to be ok, mother. You know I will always be there for you and I will never let you go. Im going to find a cure to help you". He cuddled against her and licked her cheek and walked out of the den. He told the others on what he was planning to do. They all nodded and give him some items to store on his pouch. When he was ready to go, the old, wise dragon walked up to him. He indicated "Theres a old friend of mine, a old turtle, who lives in the Dark forest, in a old shack. He might know a cure", as he explained to Topaz. Topaz nodded and set off for his adventure to explore the rest of the world he's never seen past the distance of the horizon.

It felt like hours since he left and he haven't stopped running. His feet hurt as he stepped on the sharp pebbles against his paws. He finally reached the Dark Forest. He looked into the forest and started to shake. "I can do this" he thought to himself as he took a step into the forest, "One step for Dragon, A big step for Dragon kind" (lol). He slowly walked into the misty, black forest. Step by step, Topaz got closer to the old shack. He kept thinking something was watching him, but every time he turned around, that thought seemed to disappear. Strange noises echoed through the forest as he crept quietly along the muddy, dirt track. He finally reached the old shack. It creaked as he walked along the worn floorboards. He quietly knocked on the door. The knocking echoed throughout the house. It was silent for a few moments until the door opened. Topaz looked inside but to find no one there."Hello? Anyone here!?". "Hmmf" he thought. He turned around and got a shock as the old turtle was standing right behind him. "Are you the old turtle?" Topaz asked. "The one and only! What can I do for you this fine evening?" as he slowly headed back inside the old shack. "My mother is very sick with a unknown illness", Topaz explained " I need to find a cure soon or she might die. We have tried everything but nothing will work". "Ah ha!" the old turtle responded " I know the exact cure you need." "What is it?" Topaz demanded. "A Golden Apple" he replied. "Where can I find that?" wondered Topaz. "You can find it on the Oak Tree at the very top. I have never been able to climb that tree but I'm sure you could" remaked the old turtle back. "Hopefully..." said Topaz. Topaz thanked the old turtle and went to look for the Oak Tree. "It has got to be around somewhere..." he thought. He climbed a near by tree and scanned the cloudy forest tops, until he saw it.

It took a while to find it, but when he finally did and also realizing it will take a while to climb, as the tree was bigger than he expected. He decided to camp for the night until dawn rose tomorrow. He collected sticks and wood from nearby bushes and quickly put a little hut together. He shivered as he ate the food from his pouch wondering about his mother. Although the night he was more worried more than he was than cold. He finally was able to sleep as the thoughts flowed out of his head.

The morning sun shone brightly on Topaz's face as he woke at morning. He had no time to waste so he got started and climbed the tree. He struggled to get up at first, but managed to get past the few branches blocking him. Minutes felt like hours as he the tree. When he finally got to the top, he looked around and thought " It must be around here somewhere...". While he turned around, something caught his eye. He went over to it and looked at it in amazement. It was the Golden Apple. He tugged at the branch and pulled it off. In no time, Topaz was back on the ground, collected his things and sprinted off as fast as his paws could take him.

The sun was just setting as he reached home again. All the dragons turned their heads as they amazingly saw Topaz coming. They all went up to him and asked questions. "Did you get the cure?" "I missed you!" "Are you ok? "What happened?". Topaz ignored them all and quickly ran to his mother who was lying in the den. A smile struck her face when she saw him walk in. "Mother! I have finally found the cure to help you!" stated Topaz. "Really?" mumbled his mother. Topaz replied "Eat this". He handed her the apple. She took a few bites out of it. As she chewed, her pale face became lighter. She smiled happily as she stood up. She hugged Topaz as tight as she could. "I don't know what to say" she cried. "Thank you is all you have to say, nothing else". He answered back.

From that day on, Topaz was known as a hero. He is a true hero and will always be one.

The End.
