Welcome to the Catvent 2025 event MYO cover! Please check out the main catvent thread for prompts; this page is just for making your cat. All event MYOs must go here.

✧ How to Play ✧


To start, head over to the main catvent thread. Each participant (who answers at least one prompt that meets the minimum) receives a starter NR MYO ticket for use in the event. You'll earn additional edit credits that go towards your event MYOs by answering more prompts. Edit credits are event-locked. They can only be used for this event / your event MYO. If not used on your event MYO, any leftover edit credit(s) will disappear / be void!

Please read all the rules and info on this page before starting your cat. You'll fill out the form below to be added to this page. All event MYOs must go under this cover.

You may start creating your MYO at any point during the event here! These do not count towards your monthly MYO slot, and you're welcome to post WIPs. You're also welcome to commission someone to make your event MYO! However, do keep in-mind that it is still your responsibility to ensure they meet the deadlines.

✧ Please read and follow all the rules from the main catvent thread as well.

✧ Please follow the guidelines in the coat guide and on the edits list.

✧ You must keep bluex's signature visible at all times.

✧ You may not remove the fake sign until after approval.

✧ Your cat is not real until an admin approves them. You may not use unapproved MYOs in any way, including uploading them to your archive, using them in official Stars mechanics, or commissioning artwork using the on-base reference.

✧ You may only redeem one MYO from this event. This MYO does not count towards your monthly MYO limit.

✧ When submitting your MYO for approval, please be sure to fill out the correct forms in the right places!

✧ You may only use edits in your event bank! To embrace the spirit and whimsy of this event, you cannot apply edit items earned from outside the event until after approval.

✧ Once approved, you may no longer apply additional catvent edit credits to your event MYO. Please see the main page FAQ for how to apply real edit items to an existing cat.

✧ To allow sketching of ideas throughout the event, you may post WIPs here. The fake sign must always remain visible. To keep the page tidy, please do not make multiple color-ins; edit or delete your original drawing instead.

✧ Do not assign your cat a MYO number upon posting. You will be given a title for your Oekaki thread upon approval; you may not use your cat until you update their thread title. For off-Oekaki cats, see the next post.

✧ Late cats will not be approved. Please plan ahead.



✧ Important Dates & Deadlines ✧



✧ Approvals start after all edit credit rolls are done for the event (December 25th). No approvals will be done before this point.

✧ Finished cats are due on January 25th (CS rollover from Jan 24th ↠ 25th). This is one month after edit credit rolls have fully wrapped up.

✧ You have until February 25th (CS rollover from Feb 24th ↠ 25th) or one month from when you receive approval notes (whichever comes later / gives you the most time) to make the appropriate changes / revise your MYO. If you have not responded to your approval notes by then, your cat is void.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ⤷ Voided cats may be colored-in and transferred to the MYO page following artist search procedure after the event. This will require your own ticket + items; all event credits will have expired.

If you'd like to design your MYO off-Oekaki, you can do so using:

✧ The off-Oekaki lines PSD.
✧ The transparent PNGs of the lines here.
✧ If you need the lines in another format, please contact staff.



✧ Off-Oekaki Rules ✧


✧ Off-Oekaki MYOs follow the same rules as on-Oekaki MYOs (see above), except they should not be posted on this thread until they are finished and ready to be approved. Do not include a fake sign. The reference that you submit should be the intended final image.

✧ Please fill out the correct form in the next post on this thread to get your cat approved! Do not make an on-Oekaki cover for an off-Oekaki cat.

✧ Do not number your cat. You'll receive a number in your approval post.

✧ Do not use a Discord or Toyhou.se image URL.

✧ Forms should be posted by the owner of the cat rather than the artist (if these are different users).

✧ Remember to link to an off-Oekaki cat's approval post when using them in Stars mechanics!

✧ All the same deadlines apply. Late cats will not be approved. Please plan ahead.

✧ Q: What is edit credit?
✧ A: Edit credit is the "event currency" that you collect for this year's Catvent! Instead of collecting event currency, you'll be collecting edit credit which can be applied to your event NR MYO. Like with all previous event currency, any leftover edit credit will be void if not applied to your MYO at the end of the event. You don't have to apply all your edit credits to your MYO either, just whatever you feel inspired to or feel fits your design idea! c: Alternatively, you may also swap your edit credits for other edit credits on our event edit swap thread.

✧ Q: Do I need NR edit credit to apply NR edits to my MYO?
✧ A: Nope! NR edits can be applied without the need of any edit credits.

✧ Q: May I apply my own edits (from outside the event) to my event MYO?
✧ A: In the spirit of the event, you may only use edit credits (the edits found in your event bank)! After your MYO is officially approved, you're welcome to apply any additional edits you'd like. Please see the process for that here.

✧ Q: Where is the event edit bank?
✧ A: Here it is! If there are any archiving concerns / mistakes, please contact feverdream or canadianhowl!

✧ Q: Where is the edit swaps thread?

✧ Q: Can my MYO be an apprentice/kit?
✧ A: Not for this event! To keep approvals streamlined, all cats must be adults. After the adult ref is approved, however, you're welcome to apply a star's touch item to give them a kit or apprentice ref! (One item = one ref each)

✧ Q: I posted my MYO! They'll be approved now, right?
✧ A: If your cat is ready for approval and it is after December 25th (when the approval window opens), you MUST fill out the "submitting your MYO for approval" form on this thread to have your cat considered for approval. Since we're allowing the posting of WIPs for this event, I can't tell when your cat is truly ready for feedback unless you do this! If you do not fill out this form before CS rollover January 24th ↠ 25th, your cat is void. Late cats will not be approved. Please plan ahead.

✧ Q: How long do I have to respond to approval notes?
✧ A: Please see here for all important deadlines. You have until February 25th (CS rollover from Feb 24th ↠ 25th) or one month from when you receive approval notes (whichever comes later / gives you the most time) to make the appropriate changes / revise your MYO. ✧ Q: My cat was voided! Can I still keep them?
✧ A: You may not use a cat until they are approved; voided cats are not approved. Voided cats may be colored-in and transferred to the MYO page following artist search procedure after the event. This will require your own ticket + items; all event credits will have expired. All MYO page rules (including monthly slot limits) will apply.
