Prompt: Every year Daisy planned elaborate costume after elaborate costume, determined to outdo herself. She had to be the fanciest dressed on the block, even if that means she does not sleep for a week before Halloween. Besides, the deep-set eyebags simply add to the costume.

However, nothing will beat her hand-sewn witches costume. Sure, there were the typical witches component; a cauldron she grabbed from her kitchen; a pointed hat she made for the occasion; and a cloak which was just a dark blanket she had pinned to her garb. What really made the costume though was her broom. It was simple, nothing special, but she spent weeks communicating with the enchanters at the kingdom, infusing the broom with the essence that allowed for it to fly.

That night, if anyone looked to the sky, they would have seen a witch soaring the air. Their familiar not far behind, a wisp of their shadow, a being of her own creation brought to life by her willpower. The duo scouring from the skies, determined to find the houses with all the best treats.

He even tried hanging upside down (which ended up in him banging his head on the ground when he inevitably fell). This costume he is most proud of and has worn it for the past two halloweens!

Prompt: Up until this point in a conversation, Crosley has been kicked back against one of the house’s pillars, arms crossed and a smug, yet warm, look on his face. He hears the question, thinks for a second, then begins scoping the area. Suddenly, the cool and collected kalon seems nervous.

“Umm, yeah, uh… well, you seem like a nice kid. You just gotta promise you won’t laugh! I went as a unicorn one year. Rainbow makeup, lots of glitter, paper maché horn… oh, and a tutu. Felt pretty freeing, honestly.”

Prompt: Laiza's favorite costume has been an explorer that "survived" a Mount Everest expedition that went horribly wrong. They used poly-fluff for snow and hand iron-on letters to make the shirt design. It was super fun and also a little chilly that night, so the costume kept them warm as well!

Estelle trailed off before looking at the next trick or treater who came up. "Oh a witch! I was a witch last year!" She smiled wide and gave out a high five. "Now before you go..." She reached into her bucket. "Oh...it looks like I ran out tonight. Sorry! But next time I'll make sure to give you guys the biggest candy bar I have!" Waving, Estelle walked back inside and closed the door. You saw the lights flicker for a moment before being turned off. Better luck next time?

After your last...candy-less encounter with this house you debated coming back. You could see the lights flickering as other trick or treaters wandered around the smoke filled front porch. Did she have that going on full blast since the start of the day? You could barely see the steps in front of the house. Guilt gnawed at your chest and you decided to walk up to the door and ring the doorbell. Before you could even step back, Estelle threw the door open. You raise an eyebrow, was she just sitting beside the door? That seemed very quick.

"Hi! Oh! I remember you! You came too late at the end, I promise I have more candy this time!" She smiled widely showing the full bowl of candy.

You eye one of the large size chocolate bars before asking, "Trick or Treat."

Estelle's hand hovered over the bar before she looked over and asked, "Do you like scary movies? I try but I usually have to have all the lights on." She smiled sheepishly.
