Gender: Female
Rank: Kittypet ally
Clan: Echeide ClanAge: 64 moons
Prompt: (Sorry, but still looking for a bookworm kittypet ally to my clan I need and she is perfect.)“Ada... Oh, Ada...! You have a great imagination, only birds in your head, really... What fairy tales...”
“Fairy tales?” the cat protested, offended. “They are not fairy tales, it is the theory of quantum superposition.”
“A cat that is alive and dead at the same time? That was called a zombie in my time.”
“He's not a zombie, it is not the same thing!”
“And even if he were not, should I believe that this cat gave you a magic key that opens a door that does not exist to another world? Don't take me for stupid, please.”
The other cat laughed and Ada preferred to leave before losing control and starting a fight, nobody understood her, nobody listened to her. A cat that knows how to read and instead of showing her respect they laugh at her, but she is not crazy.
It all started because her beloved two-leg had serious problems reading, especially out loud and apparently that was a terrible shame among two-legs of her age. So, to practice and not be teased for it, the boy started reading stories out loud to Ada and she listened to each one with great attention, looking at the symbols, learning what sound each symbol makes and what it means and with some effort she also learned to read.
Her human was a university student who loved all sciences but specialized in physics, and quantum physics captured Ada's attention in a special way. Especially thanks to some books, the favorite books of both of them, are a series of science books for children, which pushed the two-leg to study physics. The books, “La puerta de los tres cerrojos” (The door of the three locks), talked about quantum physics, and while his two-leg had a crush on the human protagonist, Ada had a crush on Schrodinger's cat, yes, one of the characters in the book and the one Ada tried to talk to the other cat about.
The books spoke of a human who traveled to a parallel world, dominated by the laws of quantum physics and inhabited by particles of different kinds and quantum elves and everything is science but it seems magical. And Ada loved them.
One day, Ada appeared with a key hanging around her neck.
“And that key, little furball?” asked her owner upon seeing her while stroking her back. “I hope no neighbor comes to me complaining that they are missing a key.”
And she answered, meowing innocently.
Nobody knows where she got the key from, but she always tells the same story to whoever wants to listen to her.
“Schrodinger’s cat entrusted it to me, it is the key to the quantum world and it is very valuable and important, so it must be protected by someone who understands the quantum world as well as I do.”
“And what does that key open?” asked a curious cat.
“The door with three locks, of course, which connects the classical world to the quantum world.”
“But if there are three locks… There shouldn’t be three keys.”
“That’s the point, my friend… The door has three locks but only one key and to open it you have to open all three locks at the same time. It’s a riddle and only those clever enough to solve it can go through.”
“And where is that impossible door?”
“Oh! Well, I don’t know, it appears and disappears… I guess I have to wait if I want to find it again.”
And the other cat laughed, “I don’t know what they put in your catnip, friend, but it didn’t sit well with you.”
She watched him go off offended “Ignorant, you’ll see… I’ll find that door.”
Almost a year later, the first book of the prequel of “La puerta de los tres cerrojos” came out, starring a girl named Ada who wears the key to the quantum world around her neck.
Now everyone is a little scared, including her owner. But it’s just a coincidence… Right…?
