While this is a non-canon breeding there are a lot of places I’m considering putting the kits depending on a lot of factors! One potential place for a kit is to be the Deity of Daytime, a Deity who stands in opposition to the Deity of Nighttime. She is all about bright lights and sunny days, her mate is the Deity of Sunlight who ensures you get plenty of days in the sun. They are both quite loud and energetic, always up for a good time! She and her husband go on to create the Deities of Easy Times and Storms because not everything can be bright lights as much as they would love that.

The Deity of Daytime and Nighttime are in opposition to each other less because they don’t see the other’s importance and more because the Deity of Daytime can be a little careless to what the other Deities need. Her preference for sunny weather and bright lights causes problems directly for one of the Deity of Nighttime’s own mates who has incredibly sensitive eyes, unable to be out in such bright conditions for long. For all the Deity of Daytime can understand that Cloudy and Rainy weather is needed for things like plants and crops to survive she just cannot seem to grasp why someone might be uncomfortable in the light! This smoldering feud has been going on for so long that they have just turned their backs on each other metaphorically refusing to interact with each other if they can avoid it.

Some other plans I have are either Sunny the Kittypet or Kokoleka the Rogue, as both of them are named after their appearances. Sunny the kittypet is predictably quite the happy sunny guy who means well but sometimes does not make the smartest choices. Kokoleka the rogue is by contrast very clever, he is always coming up with novel solutions to problems he has due to being outside the two leg’s aid most of the time. The two of them occasionally interact since Sunny lives near the edge of town, but I wouldn’t say they are friends.

Wildfire sighed as she climbed over the camp entrance, feeling the forest breeze ruffle her fur. Her swollen belly swayed beneath her, weighing her down. It wouldn’t be long until her kits arrived and a wave of anxiety washed over her. The grass felt soft beneath her paws as she gazed at the trees while walking.

She wondered if her sister was searching for her or if she even cared to find her. Wildfire hoped that Bruce was okay and prayed to whatever the clan cats worshipped that Ambrosia never found out about their affair. It pained her to know that he would never meet their kits, but she believed it was for the best. They would both be in grave danger if her sister discovered the truth.

Her paws brushed against the creek as water trickled through her thick fur. Wildfire pondered whether her children would like it here, in the dense underbrush of the forest and the cold walls of a cave. Would they be treated as outcasts and struggle to thrive? Or would the clan cats accept them for who they were and help them grow into loyal wild cats? She curled her tail protectively around her belly, trying to push back her anxious thoughts.

“Wildfire, where are you?” a voice called from a distance, causing the she-cat to turn her head. Meadowdancer came bounding over the horizon, his face twisted with worry. “If you want to leave camp, you could at least tell me,” he huffed as he joined her, his tail brushing against her side.

Wildfire flicked her ear at the tom and scoffed. “I don’t need permission to go for a walk,” she grumbled as she strolled along the creek, Meadowdancer following closely behind.

“It’s not about permission; I just want to make sure you don’t get hurt,” Meadowdancer meowed, causing Wildfire to chuckle.

“I used to be a fighter for a living,” Wildfire laughed. “I can keep myself safe.”

“But you weren’t expecting kits then, were you?” Meadowdancer retorted, earning a glare from the she-cat. “I understand you can care for yourself, but that doesn’t mean you have to.” 

The two paused as the creek began to widen into a river. The rushing water sang a soft lullaby, and Wildfire’s gaze met Meadowdancer’s.

“Do you think I can do this? Be a mother?” she questioned, her eyes dark with worry. The tom’s lips curled downwards as he leaned forward to press his nose against her forehead.

“I know you can,” he assured her, pulling away with a warm expression. “Even if it gets too hard, I’ll be right there to help.” Wildfire looked down at her belly, feeling love blossom deep in her heart. A sense of relief washed over her spirit like she had been wrapped in a cool sheet. With Meadowdancer by her side, Wildfire felt ready to face this challenge with confidence.

“Let’s head back; I’m tired,” the queen yawned, turning to retrace her steps. “Right behind you,” Meadowdancer purred, pressing against Wildfire and falling into step with her as they returned to camp.

The sky was dark, lightning flashing in a cold warning. Earth rumbled and sky shook. Sheepwish stood forward, her gaze quiet, gentle. Stars shone from above the clouds, some fated night. Perhaps this was how it was supposed to be, but she still couldn’t wrap her head around it. So much had changed.

She was supposed to rest these kits somewhere called “The Fallen Rose Kingdom”. Another cat emerged from the fog, Blazewhisker. They were there to take the kits to their clan.. “Mireclan”. Even as the earth seemed to rumble in distaste, it was how it was supposed to play. Playing god was never her favourite, but it was unfortunately how the tables had turned in their visit. Grass quivered and roots slithered farther beneath the surface.

“Keep them safe..” she whispered softly, barely managing to hold herself together, barely managing to hand them over without crumbling. “They’re just small, innocent, please treat them kindly..” Her words were shaky, barely able to be distinguished in the storm.

Blazewhisker nodded gently. “They’ll be safe, I promise,” they spoke, trying to soothe the worrisome she-cat. Her worry’s were valid, dropping off some of her beloved kits to somewhere she wasn’t even aware of, it was like a curse on her heart.

“I know.. I trust you..” she replied gently, trying to convince herself that this was how it was supposed to be. Nothing would go wrong. It was okay. The kits would be safe and sound. Sheepwish barely had it in her to finally turn away, to disappear back into the foggy depths behind her.

Before she turned away, Sheepwish casted one last longing look behind her, gazing at Blazewhisker before dipping her head and disappearing into the fog. The kits would be safe, safe in Mireclan and safe in Fallen Rose Kingdom.

She had to believe.

Prompt: I chose to write about one of the future kits, Oleander <33

A stern gaze stained the young tom's face as he was busy organizing herbs of all shapes and colors in front of him. "Could use some more spiderwort.. there's enough estreflor for now... the pollen has been bad lately, I could certainly use some more ignis fruit," the tom spoke nearly silently beneath his breath. The tips of his paws were stained a verdant green with spots of reddish purple, releasing a rather odd odor from him. It smelled of sweet fruits tinged in the abrupt scent of sliced grass. For most, it would work as a deterrent from his workshop. However, much to his disappointment, it didn't quite ever stop one particular cat from bursting into his cozy abode.

"Hey, plant breath! I'm back, do you have my order ready," a loud, jovial voice echoed throughout the hollow tree, attacking the concentrated cat's senses.

The tom let out a huff, whipping his head to glare at the unwelcome intruder, "Castor.. didn't I tell you to knock?" All he got in response was a disinterested shrugs from the large chocolate-colored tom. Atop his head were a set of large branches, their golden leaves swaying with each movement. Worst of all, the tips of said branches scrapped the top of the hollow tree's ceiling. The herb-scented tom's teeth clenched from the noise, recoiling back into his corner. "Castor! For Farkasis' sake, could you please lower your head? That noise is horrendous."

"Hmm? Oh, you mean this?" a mischievous glint shone in his eye as the tall tom bobbed his head back and forth, ensuring the branches ran along the wooden ceiling. Bile rose in the other tom's throat as he squeezed his eyes shut, the noise piercing his ears.

Quickly, the tom placed his paws on his ears, staining the white fluff in green. "Castor if you don't stop, you ain't getting anything from me!" The tom snarled loudly, his voice even louder to be heard above the scrapping noise.

"Haha, you're so sensitive, Oleander. I'd keep doing it if I didn't like you so much," Castor chirped, a sly mocking grin on his muzzle. "Now then... you got the goods?"

Once freed from the horrible noise, Oleander allowed his shoulders to relax, his paws falling back onto the floor. With a grunt, he slid his way towards a clawed out spot of the hollow wall. Claws traced around the opening slowly as he hesitated, wondering once more if he should really be aiding in whatever hole Castor appeared to be digging. It's not like it's my problem... I couldn't care less what he does, as long as he leaves me alone, the tom thought to himself bitterly. Without any further thinking, he stuck his paw into the opening and pulled out several stems of bright pink flowers, all carefully wrapped in a large leaf. "Here you go," the tom mumbled as he brought the bundle towards the larger cat.

A menacing gleam danced in the tom's purple gaze, sending a shiver through the other. "Castor flowers.. just as my namesake. These look even better than before, excellent work, plant-breath."

With a roll of his eyes, Oleander turned his back towards the other tom and began returning towards his herb pile. "Yeah, yeah. Now can you leave me alone?" With a thud, the tom sat in front of his pile of herbs, his ears twitching as he heard the loud sound of Castor making his way to the exit.

"Until next time, loser!"
