Prompt: Ivory Claw, despite living in the barren desert, has proven to be quite the useful warrior, always hunting for the elders and always the first to fight back when his patrol is attacked. So when the leader of his clan (& good friend of his!), Charley, noticed that Ivory Claw was bothered by the sunlight, he immediately started to think of a way to keep him out of the sunlight as much as possible.
Firstly, he chose to only send him on night patrols. Then, he made the apprentices and the queens build a small "shed" for him in camp, made out of all the dry herbs they could find in the desert (so a whole lot of those). Whenever the sun shines too bright, Ivory Claw runs to his little shed, and rests there until the moon comes out.
Additionally, Ivory Claw has taken a habit of walking only where there is shade when he has no choice but to go out in the sun, and runs very fast in places between shade spots.

EDIT: i made a quick ugly doodle to show what i think it would be like! the "walls" are made of branches, the "roof" is made of dry herbs (it will not be blown away by the wind because the camp is protected from it).

Prompt: She really only goes out at night, the moonlight is much easier to deal with than the sunlight. However, on the rare occasions she has to go out in the daytime, she takes a small piece of see-through linen that she found as a kitten and soaks it in the small streamlet that runs through her cave before placing it over her eyes, as it greatly cuts back on the glare of the sunlit world around her.

Prompt: Moon'Prancer always wanted to be a daylight warrior, like his father before them and his father's father. Going on and on and on since the start of the clans. But because his eyes want to cry whenever a flicker of light crosses them that was clearly out of the question. So, rather than giving up on his want to tread the line between clan life and the life of a kittypet, he decided to just try join the clans at night. It went bad at first, especially because sometimes he'd be caught at dawn (the worst time for his poor eyes). But eventually his owner noticed Moon'Prancer sneaking out and getting sunburns and sensitive eyes and such. So his owner invested in a trench coat and cap which blocked the sun from his sensitive skin and eyes. It makes him look really funny.

Prompt: slinking through the shadowed woods, blue-red eyes glint as the shape of a wolf reveals itself.

the motley patrol of felines stares at me in horror, attempting to scratch, claw and bite. shielding the apprentices, the senior warriors are ready to strike.
they will do anything it takes to drive me away.

so i disappear.
i get this a lot.

i feel like i’m cursed.

the sunlight is too much for me.
staying under it for too long burns my skin.
fire rises in my bones like a once-dormant volcano erupting, and my pelt stings.
i live in the darkest corners of the forest, the places where no light shines.
i share a home with the mushrooms and the fungi.

not that i want to.

this cloak of mine is made out of the pelt of a large grey wolf.
well, it certainly helps when i’m forced to step out of the cool shade into the flaming lands. but many cats mistake me for the howling beasts that hunt in packs, those mighty beasts who could slaughter a whole clan.

but i’m not scary.
i’m just trying to keep out of the light.
in the shaded corners of the forests, it’s quieter, peaceful.
for the fungi are my friends, alongside the fireflies and the wood insects.

maybe the darkness really is where i belong.
why try staying in a world where all you will experience is pain?
the nighttime is my paradise. i wander freely, emerging from my darkened chrysalis, safely hidden away from the glaring eyes of day.

and i carry my wolf’s pelt with me.
my red pupils stare up at the moon hanging low in the ether.
this fur coat may be all i have. i may be treated like a monster.
but at least it means that

i will never have to experience that hellish pain
ever again.

Prompt: Living within the Ivy Hollow comes with the perks of plenty of cover from the overgrowth of foliage within the territory. The territory is within the grounds of an old cottage with a tall barn on the opposite end of the land, with patches of overgrown flower and vegetable gardens mingled beneath tall fruit trees - for the most part Kettle has no problem finding a shaded route from one end of the property to the other. On the really bright, hot days of midsummer, she will keep herself tucked in the barn until the sun is lower in the sky. In terms of her role as the Deputy, she leads the night patrols and watch - so more often than not, she's sleeping during the day anyway! While that helps her to avoid the sun, she does find that the glare of a full moon also affects her vision.

Lionael has alot of issues with his eyes and ears, often having to hide himself in shaded areas for awhile or wear large cloak covers and hoods. Most the time on very sunny days they end up hiding away in Oroiael's grove listening to them as they weave mortal's life lines and gossip about the other immortals.

When the sun is your biggest foe, there are only two things you can do. You can either become nocturnal, only allowing yourself to only venture outside in the dark shadow of the nights, or you never view the outside. For Minnowsnout, she chose to do both. Plus, her job didn't allow for a lot of time outside of the cave hidden behind the waterfall. She spent days without seeing the light, keeping an eye on newcomers and making sure they didn't escape in the time that Poppyhowl was busy with other affairs. There was always a guard at the mouth of the cave, but the assassin that blended into the shadows despite her angelic pelt was always much scarier.

Prompt: it's frequently cloudy in a certain part of the forest, and even regularly sees snow in the mountain parts, so that helps a lot to keep the sun from being a problem . Which isn't to say that there aren't clear skies and sunny days, but when there are, there's plenty of apprentices and warriors that can be asked to go fetch herbs in their stead. Also because of that, the night is also their best friend, and often stocks up on things in advance due to the sun being a variable to work around.
