With Graeme unavailable, Maori was almost unanimously voted to assist with apple picking (it would have been completely unanimous, but Badger tried to vote himself to lead so that he could eat all the apples himself). The bucket-toting cow never puts down her green pail, and everyone agreed that her comfort item would double as the perfect vessel for collecting the delectable fall harvest this year.
As you approach, Maori seems eager, yet nervous, to be stepping up to the plate of such a big task.
“Brat summer is over, and we better hope it isn’t a brat fall too, otherwise these apples might be rotten right to the core!” she says in an off rhythm. She was trying her best to sound cool for the younger Buttermilks coming to the orchard, but it seems she may have missed the mark. At least she didn’t try to dance.
In a more confident tone this time, Maori continues her greeting and explains the orchard rules. “Come back once a day to pick some apples! When you’re finished, come see me, and I’ll trade you some cranberries for your haul!”
Once per day you can go apple picking! Maori will buy your apples from
you for cranberries.
