What a glorious coat this cat has!! Unfortunately their previous owner simply found them too much to take care of hygiene-wise, and with no one close to them to take the cat they decided to send them to us.

Oh? My beauty routine?

First, I use this wonderful face wash, it's called Bird Bath and Beyond. My owner leaves it outside and the birds always sit in it, so I have to swat them away, but it's part of my routine, it wakes me up.

After that, I like to groom my fur in a specific way. First, my ears, then my face, then I work my way to my tail. I will wash myself one more time with the Bird Bath and Beyond, but it also works as a body wash so I use it as such.

Finally, I put on my makeup. My owner has a ton of colorful stuff in their bathroom, so I will push open the cabinet and begin to eat the pink stuff that they usually put on their lips. It goes nicely with my harness, don't you think?

Prompt: King has a very thorough beauty routine. Every morning when he wakes up (or whenever he wakes up, really) he washes the entirety of his luxurious coat. Yes, it takes a while, but looking like perfection is worth it!! When he's done with that, his caretaker cleans out his eyes and ears to keep them in perfect condition. He also gets a monthly trim to prevent his beautiful fur from overflowing!

For such a thick coat, Willow has to limber up in preparation for a full brushing session; it wouldn't do to be half-brushed and get a muscle cramp.
Step 2: Snack-gathering.
While Willow does enjoy being brushed for the most part, some bribery is needed for brushing out their tail floof, and for detangling the silky hair behind their ears. His favorite treats are lickable ones, especially the duck flavors, but crunchy treats are also acceptable.
Step 3: Location-scouting.
Depending on light level, certain brushing spots are more amenable than others; the windowsill is a classic, but too warm on a bright summer day, when the kitchen floor is the preferred location due to the cool tiles and convenient water dish.
Step 4: Equipment inspection.
Before brushing may begin, Willow gives each tool a thorough sniffing-over (sometimes accompanied by batting the brush across the floor). This is also the moment he makes sure all the best brushes are there, especially the boar bristled one and the brushing glove.
Step 5: The main event.
Finally, after the brushes and treats are gathered, and the venue is selected, brushing may begin. Willow does genuinely enjoy this step, assuming there aren't too many tangles. If necessary, they will submit to nail-trimming, but only if extra treats are provided.
Step 6: Post-grooming cuddles.
After a little bit of a cooldown period, Willow makes a beeline for their favorite person for some well-earned snuggling. What good is having a nice, silky coat, after all, if no-one is doing the important work of petting you?
