The sun dipped below the horizon, a bitter cold seeping into Cliff and Snow's pelts as they approached clan territory. Cliff had ended up running a little late today- something about setting up a special event earlier in the day. Snow, with no additional responsibilities for once, had offered to help the tom carry some of his delivery and guide him through a detour- a winding passage through the pine forest, which Cliff often skirted around to avoid the thick tree sap that would often cover his long pelt if he wasn't careful.

As the pair settled in at the border, waiting for a patrol or stray warrior to stumble upon them, they began to share stories of recent adventures. Snow began recounting her moons since they'd last chatted- a lot of training and some large bird hunting with her group. It seemed she was becoming quite the competent leader, almost ready to claim her role amongst the ancient Stonetellers of her Tribe. Mousespeck, with her chocolate and red spotted pelt almost blending in perfectly with the brush, almost seemed to materialize out of thin air. She whisked past a large brush pile and nearly bumped right into the pair of warriors.

"Well, look who it is. Mousespeck, what brings you to the border so late this evening?", Snow purred warmly to her friend, greeting the she-cat with a twinkle in her eyes. Mousespeck let out a surprised mmrow of welcome, seemingly forgetting whatever it was that she seemed so focused on. "Snow, Cliff! How long have you two been out here, it's so cold out here.. quick let's get to camp."

As the trio entered camp, heavy with stock for the shops (Starclan and MYO), the soft hum of snoring cats greeted the group. It seemed everyone had taken an early night to keep warm in their dens. Cliff could hardly blame them, even with his thick fur the cold still bit at his ear tips and paw pads. "I guess we'll just have to greet everyone in the morning, do you happen to have space near your nest for us to rest this evening Mousespeck?", he turned to the ex-medicine cat who nodded quickly. "You know we always have a couple nests for visitors, Hana visited the other day so they're all freshened already."
