Prompt: the first time cinnamonswirl tried swimming was…rather chaotic.
when her best friend poppymask teased her and offered to teach her how to swim, cinnamonswirl accepted, as she’s always ready to try something new.

cinnamonswirl slowly stepped into the cool river water, poppymask beside her. poppymask being one of softclan’s best swimmers, was showing cinnamonswirl how to swim and float and balance in the water.

unfortunately, when cinnamonswirl tried it…she kept on falling and bumping her head on rocks (not that hard, don’t worry!) and randomly splashing water everywhere, including on her friend.

so poppymask gave up and just decided to just take cinnamonswirl back to camp.
poor cinnamonswirl.

swimming just isn’t for her.

Prompt: When Spiritwhisper very first joined the clan and was told that one of the crystals in the den would speak to her, she was very curious, but also rather skeptical, where the cats here insane? What did they mean, it started to make a bit more sense when the leader of the clan, Mistfeather showed her her own powers, and explained she had received them from her crystal. Spiritwhisper stared in awe as Mistfeather stepped out over the water, without actually touching it and slowly climbed into the sky as though walking on stairs. Immediately afterwards she dashed into the den, looking around frantically and sniffing at the different glowing crystals. When one of them caught her attention, she froze and glanced over her shoulder at a smiling Mistfeather. Gingerly she reached out a paw and her eyes widened as it started to glow. “Wow,” she murmured. She ran back outside, leaving Mistfeather in the dust without even realizing it. When she looked over her shoulder to see if Mistfeather was following her, she screeched to a halt, where was the waterfall that the dens were nestled behind? She eyed her paws skeptically and started walking slowly, before gradually picking up speed, she laughed gleefully as she realized that she had super speed and it had taken her no time at all to figure out her powers. Mistfeather had told her that it often took days to figure out and master the powers given by the crystals, but apparently she was one of the lucky few that could receive them, figure them out, and master them all right off the bat. 'It's no fair those yummy window treats only humans can eat!' Thought a young female feline. Her tail swaying to and fro in deep thought. 'I'm sure if given the chance I could make something just as good. Hey maybe even better than them!'
For weeks on and off she'd watched the maid bake one thing to the next. Then one day when the maid left a kitchen window open came her chance!
Everything neat and tidy, she found a bowl with some dough rising. Sniffing it she then placed both paws into the yummy smelling lump. Sinking elbow deep! And stuck.
Rearing back she tried to free herself. But the dough had such a strong pull.
Suddenly the sounds of hurried feet came charging her way. The kitchen door swinging wide open and a loud scream which could probably be heard a few doors down!
The maid grabbing a nearby broom went straight for the feline with sticky paws.
Swipe!
The cat and bowl went flying into the air, separating. Landing on her paws Sarah then stumbled as the few bits of dough clung to her pads.
When the maid saw where the cat had landed she came rushing at her once again.
At which point Sarah managed to find the window she'd come in at and quickly made a flying leap to be back outside. Beating a hasty retreat into some brush. The maid still yelling and screaming at the feline at the top if her lungs before turning into a sobbing.

Folding her ears back, the feline spoke in a whisper, 'I'm sorry. Someday, I'll make it up to you!"

Prompt: Serpentstrike, from the time they were apprenticed, wanted to be in the water. The only problem? Serpentstrike CANT SWIM. So, of course, Eveningstar decided to help out. This involved, at the time, Serpentpaw, to wade into increasing deeper waters and try to tread water. The first time they tried going into the middle of the lake? They nearly drowned, and Eveningstar had to rescue them, which was NOT easy. Over time they did learn to swim, and became very skilled at it! They can now hunt in the water without problem and are comfortable in the water.

smokeshade had always been a curious kit, his brown eyes filled with wonder at the world around him. one sunny afternoon, he spotted a tall oak tree in the clan's territory, its branches reaching for the sky like nature's own ladder. with boundless enthusiasm, he decided it was time to try his paw at climbing.

with the determination only a kit could possess, smokeshade approached the tree. he studied it, tilting his head as he examined each gnarled root and rough patch of bark. then, he took a deep breath and launched himself at the trunk.

his first attempt ended in a comical tumble as he misjudged the distance and landed in a pile of leaves. unfazed, he scrambled to his paws and tried again, this time with a more deliberate approach. he extended his claws, digging them into the bark, and began his ascent.

it was slow-going at first. smokeshade wobbled precariously, nearly slipping from a branch more than once. but his determination never wavered. he kept his eyes locked on a higher branch, a goal he was determined to reach.

with each passing moment, smokeshade's confidence grew. he found his balance and rhythm, his heart swelling with pride as he climbed higher and higher. the world below him began to blur as the canopy enveloped him.

finally, he reached his goal—a sturdy branch with a perfect view of the clan camp. smokeshade perched there, his chest heaving with exertion but his eyes shining with triumph. he had done it. he had conquered the tree.

as he gazed out at the clan, smokeshade realized that sometimes, the most challenging climbs were the ones worth undertaking. his clumsy, adventurous nature had led him to this moment, and he couldn't wait to explore the world from his newfound perspective.
