Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

i feel like this song has such a chaotic vibe to it- a "black cat with orange cat energy" that i got from this kalon. one where they look up with you with round, blinking eyes and go, "oops, did i do that?"

if i had to write a story for this kalon, i'd say they are a mischievous witch with an innocent demeanor. they cast spells to move all your furniture an inch out of place so you're always stubbing your toe, or summon all sorts of familiars to knock over your favorite plants, swim in your coffee and draw on your homework. then when you go to confront them about it, they tilt their head and go, "who, me? i don't even have thumbs to twiddle."

favourite song and why: Like It Or Not - Madonna
Ena loves Madonna in general, as well as a lot of 80s pop. This song is her absolute favorite, because she feels like it describes her perfectly. She goes about her life with an attitude of, "take me as I am, or stay out of my life". She is flirtatious but dangerous, a siren and a witch. She has a taste for adventure and is obsessed with the occult and the unknown. People tend to shun her for her passion for things considered "evil" (it's not really, but satanic panic and all that). There are those, though, who praise her for her work in helping others. Despite the duality of what society sees her as, she is who she is and she doesn't plan on changing that any time soon. So because of this, she relates heavily to "Like It Or Not" and feels like this song is very much about her. She says it's her "theme song".

Born in the darkness, they survived in the darkness but even if the darkness was all that they knew they longed for more. They longed for the sparkle, the little patch of light, a small star to streak across their vision to make a wish. Wished. They wished for the breath of fresh air, a world not some mechanical and gloomy. They saw this light in them, the draw of a moth to a flame, they wished to reach out, take hold and join the dancing embers, but they were unsure. Unsure whether or not they would let them join, or would they mearly be burnt to blackened ash at the foot of the candle once again being left in the dark again. There was no other song that could speak to thier longing yet contant dredging in darkness. A small hope to join the other.

It's one of those songs that captivates you. That melts into your eardrums with its uniquely funky and fantasy-esque sound, settling into your bones and wrapping you up in its sound. Tabitha was immediately taken by the mere sound of that intro, but then hearing those lyrics - being able to hear the imagery, of birds and magic and such a mysterious woman, inspired by a mythical figure from so long ago - it's so different, isn't it? You don't often get songs like this nowadays; that evoke such emotions, that sound so distinctly themselves. It's something to cherish, and something to love - and love it, Tabitha does.

It gives her the musical energy to keep going! at night she is a vigilante they help others but not for fame like other heroes. At other times it is just a song to power through the morning rush at the cafe where she works. it gets a lot of foot traffic in the morning, and it seems a lot of kalons like the baked goodies that they make.

Aside from the mesmerizing xylophone in the breaks, Bea loves the culty vibes this song gives off. Come along with me to a place where no one can find us, but we will be together. It reminds her of a coven, which she has always wished to join. She is currently a lone witch, working on her potion business all alone. Its also the perfect tempo to stir brews to.

esmerelda is the familiar to a witch, her shine was enchanted to be especially luminous and sparkly. sparkles always appear in a giant radius around her, and she hides inside giant toadstools or above trees and uses her tail to lure people into the wrong realms.. or guide forest creatures back to their dens at night.
