This book is about a little girl named Neverfell who falls into a strange world of conspiracy and betrayal with no memories of who she is or where she came from, she's adopted by a cheesemaker who is one of this World- Caverna's- incredible craftsmen. Artisans here create delicacies with unique properties, like wines that make you tell the truth or cheeses that can show you the future. In Caverna, while everyone can feel all the emotions you'd expect, facial expressions have to be taught to them. Neverfell is unique because her face shows exactly what she is feeling and thinking, she's unable to lie in a world where everything is built on lies and manipulation. A truly honest soul lost in a web of deceit.

I think that Reilua relates to the feeling of being confused and lost in a world of liars and manipulators, the Clan he came from is one known for how sneaky and underhanded they can be. He never did fit in there. His mind has always been full of fantasies and imaginings of fantastical worlds he could be whisked away to, where the people who he relies aren't just as likely to trip him as they are to help him. In a Clan where weakness can't be shown or accepted, being a dreamer meant that Reilua was badgered constantly to keep his head out of the clouds, to accept his reality.

Now he lives happily with the Wanderers, but his mind is still haunted by his previous Clan. Not only of their cruel ways, but of the tragedy caused when he was daydreaming instead of guarding camp like he was meant to be.

The type of a book adored by them would definitely be coloring books (if they had opposable thumbs of course!) and lighthearted children’s picture books. They deal with a lot of stress on everyday basis so they probably wouldn’t be interested in anything too dark or something that could make them more uneasy or stressed than they usually are. They probably would see coloring as very relaxing and distracting from sad or intrusive thoughts (they are very creative, too so it could work as an outlet for those needs) and books based mainly on pictures don’t require them to have to be able to read. They can read only big and clear runes so it would be just a struggle for them to focus too much on tiny letters.
Definitely, just enjoying the artwork and simple, comforting stories would be a way of spending their time they’d enjoy. They’re a good medic but sometimes, the sight of all the blood, panic and sick cats can be exhausting emotionally.

this cat would enjoy reading gardening manuals and plant guides! gardening isn't exactly something most yukonclan cats can dedicate their time to, so, while cucumber would probably never actually pursue the hobby, they'd probably enjoy looking at the pretty plant pictures and imagining building something for themselves that the whole clan could enjoy. Of course, living in the wilds would mean their access to typical garden fruits and vegetables would be pretty sparse, but who says they can't trade with maneki and get some good greens?

anyway.. a cat can dream.. who knows, maybe someday he'll establish the first yukonclan community garden! for now, cucumber is satisfied burying the random seeds they gather and hoping something sprouts before it gets too cold.
