Prompt: xxxTwo amber eyes stared out from under the bush. It was night, the full moon casting cold light into the clearing. Rain poured and thunder boomed. Whispers throughout the camp were whisked away by the sound of water and wind. This was the worst storm HollowClan had seen in moons.

xxxSquirrelstripe streaked through the rain into her leader’s den. Thunder cracked as she stepped through the dripping vines covering the entrance, and she shook her fur before meeting Heatherstar’s eyes. “Squirrelstripe,” she regarded her deputy coldly. “Please, sit down.”
xxxNot taking her gaze off her leader, she stepped further into the den before sitting, placing her tail neatly over her paws. “You seem to have been busy the past few days,” Heatherstar said slowly. “Of course, organizing hunting parties around the mentor’s training plans and-” “No. You’ve been busy
outside of camp.” Taken aback, Squirrelstripe hesitated, before stuttering out, “It’s greenleaf, Heatherstar, and before tonight the weather has been great. Can’t I have some time to myself?”
xxxHeatherstar snarled, her fur rising so suddenly that Squirrelstripe flinched away. “I can smell it on you, you foxheart!” She yowled, and if it weren’t for the rain Squirrelstripe would be afraid some other cat would hear them. “You’ve been out meeting with those rogues from afar!” Squirrelstripe chose her words carefully. “Heatherstar,” she meowed, keeping her voice even and a bit cold, “Those
rogues are not dangerous. They’ve told you what they want- they came here because
StarClan brought them!” “
StarClan-” Passion was creeping into Squirrelstripe’s voice now as she spoke over her leader. “It has been seasons upon seasons of isolation for HollowClan for as long as any cat can remember. But we’ve all heard the legends- stories of a time when we lived among other clans. When we had borders to patrol, reason to claim territory as ours- StarClan has brought us these cats to revive the warrior code-”
xxx “ENOUGH!” Heatherstar screeched. “You
dare defy me, you-” she was on her paws now, her back arched. Suddenly she relaxed, though anger still burned in her eyes. “Get out. Get out of my den.” Squirrelstripe got to her paws and began to leave, pausing at the entrance to look back at her leader, clawing up her bedding. “I will change your mind, Heatherstar, I promise.” Before heading back out into the rain.
