Action: I decide to visit the ducks again today and offer them the lettuce I found recently. While feeding them, I tell them about my day, and wonder if their quacks are responses to it.

The ducks eat the lettuce, happy to have the company and treats. It was nice, the talking, quacking. I meant to feed them but talking to you was so nice I forgot!” Nearly jumping into the pond with the ducks, you accept the Duck Feed: Grapes. Talk about a heart attack! You do feed the ducks. Except… they seem a bit bigger than last time. As you follow the long neck up, you realize it’s not a duck you are feeding, but a goose! You jump back, and so do they. Both up of you seem just bewildered. You offer some coos to them, tossing a few grapes close to the mammoth bird. They cautiously take them, eventually coming back over. HONK! Their loud echo canon of a voice makes your hair stand on end, but their open wings and neck rubbing against you gives you friendly vibes. Did this foe become… a friend?

Congrats on the first Foe to Friend! The Foe or Friend? section of the items have been updated! Could there be more to learn about these guys? Are they all so bad? Probably, but maybe they do deserve a chance.

Action: Since I found bird seed, I decide to head back to the pond. I pour the seeds into my palm and hold it out to see if any ducks come up to eat from my hand.

A peaceful swim makes you relax and float around. Pollen and some freshly produced seeds flow in the gentle breeze. Sneezing ensues, from allergies or just generally you’d rather not know. Action: my plan to rule the world via small cute animals starts to get complicated now.
I have an insider to the duck empire, who is clearly infiltrating them well and making lots of bird friends. Now I need to learn how to speak Duck. Of course, speaking Duck is only the first stepping stone in the plan; I'll need to learn how to speak to lots of small animals - but Duck is a good start.
I have an interpreter (Earnest the penguin), I have plenty of time to practice, and I have all the ducks everyone on this thread has met so far to practice with. Time to learn how to speak Duck.

Two ducks sit down at your makeshift picnic table, a drake and his hen. He shows off, attempting to impress his date. She enjoys the birdseed and you watch, tears on your face as he proposes. It’s so beautiful- that is until you realize your day dream isn’t reality. They had knocked everything over eating the birdseed. But hey, at least they left a nice tip of Spring Hoof Polish, right?
